• AviaryClan is transitioning from the Site to CS. They will be taking the place of the Order as my Hard Mode Clan, so AviaryClan enters Hard Mode this moon.

• Fuzzyfur is welcomed as an Owl.

• A large fire breaks out in the territory, killing numerous cats. Backfilling for months -pensive-

Summary: Icy convinces his friends (and co-conspirators) to lay quiet for one more moon while the death of Hurricaneheart is so fresh on everyone's minds. Avocet, meanwhile, goes off and tells her rogue buddies they have not too long to wait. Their leader, a big black Maine Coon called Rapid, threatens to kill Avocet if she doesn't give final results in three moons.

Sand has his concrete answer, having tailed his former apprentice to the rogues' hideout. He gets pounced by a rogue on his way back to the Clan camp, but manages to overpower the thin gray tabby, throwing the poor cat into the river before heading back. He decides to tel his concerns to Dapple, but leaves out the part where he had his encounter with the scrawny rogue. Dapple tells Comfrey and Brambling, but the latter refuses to believe her, and begs her not to teĺl Carrot and senior warriors of this until she (Brambling) has her confirmations.

That night, Sand asks Avocet to have a stroll by the sea. She accepts, and the two descend down the narrow Sea Path with relative ease, and walk in silence for several minutes. Once Sand sees that the clouds have covered the sky, hiding the stars and moon from their view, he attacks his former apprentice, demanding to know who she really is. Surprisingly, Avocet recovers quickly and replies that she was part of a rogue group eyeing SeaClan territory. She was sent in as a spy, to learn from the Clan, and had been reporting back to them every moon ever since she was accepted into the Clan. Sand acts in fury, shouting at her that she was a scourge upon StarClan (at which she retorts that she doesn't believe in spirit cats), and slits her throat open. Once he makes sure Avocet is dead, Sand hides her body as best as he can among the jagged rocks that dot the shore below the cliff SeaClan called home.

Hollowsong's consult with Starclan had been nothing if not vague. Which everyone had expected, but that didn't make it any less disappointing. All that Hollowsong had managed to get was something about destiny and Starclan's intentional intervention. Which provided no cause as to how or why this had happened.

This did not however, detract from the clan's amazement over the pregnancy. Every tom swore up and down that they had nothing to do with it, and Sweetyam remained adamant that there was no time in the past four months where she or another clan member did not have eyes on Petalstar. And, to the best of her knowledge, she was right. Petalstar had worked very hard to maintain the illusion of complete transparency, which had turned out to be her best defense against any accusations.

Clovespeck of course was immediately not convinced. "There is no way. We're all adults here, we know how pregnancy works. Someone if just afraid to own up to it. I bet it's the new guy, Coyotehop, and he just waited to officially join so no one would suspect him."

Nightwhistle rolled her eyes, "Oh come on, you KNOW I was one of the cats who found him. We literally heard the cave in and rushed over. The dude was still knocked out when we found him."

"He could have faked it." Clovespeck insisted, "You don't know he wasn't pretending to be knocked out."

"We had to drag him into camp. It took like five out us. He was dead weight and limp the whole like. Half hour it took. I don't know anyone who could fake that."

"Fine, not him them. What about..." The chocolate tom looked around the camp, weighing his options. "Maybe Ashwisp. He's pretty new."

"And has a mate, who he is literally obsessed with. And a kid already." Nightwhistle pointed out, "You've got to admit there is not a single good candidate. I know it seems insane, but we are literally stuck in a cave. It's not like she can just cross the border to find other cats."

"I guess," Clovespeck grumbled, "I just can't fathom why Starclan would do such a thing. And why choose her? She's borderline insane, she just hides it well."

"Starclan works in mysterious ways," the molly shrugged, "I stopped trying to figure it out as soon as I didn't have to be a leader anymore. Even just being a leader for too long can make you a little crazy."

"Nah, with her the crazy came first. I was there."

"Hey, I never said I didn't believe you."

Their conversation was rudely interrupted by a shriek that echoed through the caverns, immediately followed by Sweetyam yowling, "Hollwosong, hurry up!"

"I'm coming!" The dark molly snapped, snatching the bundle of herbs she had prepared and rushing over to the nursery.

"Well," Nightwhistle chuckled, glancing back at her assigned mate, "Maybe the kits will look like their father and give you some hints."

"I hope so," Clovespeck grumbled, flicking his ears back in annoyance at the continued yowling.

Fishsticks has not forgotten Foghorn’s death or had forgiven Rainstorm. She swapped out of his team to join Aristaeus, but that’s not enough. Rain still deserves punishment. She talked about it with Woodkid and he tentatively agreed to help her, but would rather stay out of any conflict. Him and Fish observed Rain from the shadows for a full moon and noted all of his habits. One early morning Fish snuck into the herb storage and took some foxglove seeds. She crushed them and hid them inside the belly of a fish. She found the perfect place to leave it and waited for Rainstorm to come and eat it, as he did every day, waiting hidden in the bushes with her brother. Just as they expected, Rain slowly walked onto the scene and made his way to the prey pile. He was about to reach for the fish they prepared for him, but Moustrap got there first. “You snooze, you lose!” She snatches the fish and started eating happily. Rain only rolled his eyes and took another fish. Woodkid wanted to lurch out of the bushes, shout and stop Mouse, but Fishsticks pinned him to the ground and covered his mouth with her paw, silencing him. “Shut up! We can’t give ourselves away!” In horror she watched as Mousetrap started to choke while Woodkid covered his ears with his paws and closed his eyes. The two sylphs arrived at the scene called in by Rainstorm, but it was too late. When they all dispersed, Fishsticks finally let go of her brother. “What have we done?” he cried quietly. “Shut up. Noone can ever know about this.” Woodkid was still on the ground. “Fish, this is serious! We did this! We killed he-” His mouth was muffled once again by a paw. “Stop! This never happened. Noone can ever know. Forget about it. Soon, we’ll try again.” Tears started streaming from Woodkid’s eyes, he released himself from his sister’s grasp and ran away. She didn’t stop him. She knew he would stay quiet, he would be too afraid to tell anyone. She looked once more towards the food storage and froze. Roadrunner was there looking at her in horror. She saw everything.

Fish took a deep breath and walked over to her. Runners was very nervous and they only talked for a very short while. Fish intended to frighten and threaten her, but Runner’s reaction was unexpected. She promised she wouldn’t tell anyone. That she understands it was an accident and that she would want revenge for her sister. She was nervous, but smiled a little. Fish didn’t understand why. She thanked Runner, but didn’t really believe her and decided to keep an eye on her.

Rainstorm gets a morale boost thanks to the two new cats that join his team. They show decent potential. However, he’s still in a bad mood for letting the thief escape, having a tragedy happen right next to him and his team doing pretty bad. It does not help that Aristaeus team is thriving and Aris likes to point it out to him.

VolcanoStar sat inside the main cave they had cleared out. For now, most of the tunnels had been blocked. With how small the clan was at the moment, they only needed a small space, and would expand when the clan grew. VolcanoStar could see them turning the bigger space into the main camp later on, with the tunnels leading to dens. But for now, it served as the full camp where everyone aside from MarigoldGlow stayed, the medicine cat getting her own cave to better store herbs and house sick or injured clan members.
“Hey you two, go bother your dad!” An annoyed voice calls from the medicine cave, “I don’t want sick kits in my den if either of you eat something you’re not supposed to!” The voice says as two laughing kits run out, MarigoldGlow follows to give them a stern look before turning back into the medicine den.
“So, what were you two doing this time?” VolcanoStar asks, moving to stand before his kits could jump on him. “You know MarigoldGlow told you to stay out of her den”
FieryKit shrugs “We weren’t going to get into anything,” she says, BlazeKit adding on “Yeah, we were gonna help.”
“Sometimes cats don’t want help, though,” VolcanoStar says, “Though I believe OxeyeAsh needed help clearing out a cave, you two could help her instead.”
The two kits immediately agree and head off in the direction that the queen had started to set up for when her kits came. VolcanoStar watches them go fondly. He was so glad that the two got along so well, originally worrying that FieryKit wouldn’t be happy when he returned with a new kit. Luckily the two kits had clicked immediately, now acting like best friends and siblings. He’d even overheard FieryKit talk about wanting to delay her apprenticeship to wait for Blazekit to reach six moons. Something that he would gladly allow.

“I’m really worried about Quailcall..” Dahliapetal paused, nudging his sister’s shoulder “you know, after what happened to Birchpaw, everyone knows he already had a history with foxes.” Lilyleap sighed, looking across the clearing to where Quailcall nosed out of his den, “he was so excited about having an apprentice too, the poor tom only leaves his den for patrols” she added. Quailcall’s small frame shuffled across camp “Quailcall! Over here!” Dahliapetal called out. He lifted his head and walked over “I can’t talk, I’ve got a patrol to join.” He murmured, shifting his paws in the dirt. “Please, we know you’ve been upset lately-” Dahliapetal began to speak before being cut off “And you’re only mentioning it now? You have no idea how guilty I feel, It should have been me, not her and it should have been me when my parents were killed.” Quailcall hissed at his brother, his eyes looking dull and full of grief. The grey tom dashed off, kicking up dirt as he ran. Dahliapetal felt his heart sink and he turned to his sister, as he opened his mouth to speak he noticed three apprentices a few fox lengths behind her, Birchpaw’s littermates. Bilberrypaw, narrowed his yellow eyes at Dahliapetal sourly, but both Blossompaw and Birdpaw had a softer expression almost wanting to comfort Quailcall.

Hunting (Nightfall's; patrol); Nightfall's patrol catches x4 rats!

Patrolling (Bacup's patrol); Bacup's patrol scents a few rogues, and before any
of the cats could do a thing, they were attacked. It was no doubt Hazelnut's rogue
group. Even though the patrol managed to chase the rogue group off, every cat
bared injuries of the fight. Bacup receives a deep gash and will need two moons of
rest and x1 cobweb. Sweetbee received many small scratches and will need
one moon of rest. Knightfall breaks his paw and will require two moons of rest,
x1 bindweed, and x1 stick. Creamsickle receives a small scratch that will need
one moon of rest. Bixley hits her head while fighting and receives a concussion, and
she will require two moons of rest and x1 dandelion. Morningash is bitten and
will require one moon of rest and x1 cobweb. Genshinpaw receives a scratch
