Laurelstar tilted her head for a moment as she inspected Ivystar, but her ears perked up at the name, “oh Ivystar, Hello!” She said, though he tail twitched with a hint of embarrassment, “the stress lately must be getting to my head a little,” she added with a chuckle. Laurelstars posture relaxed happy to find the type of conversation she’s need. “Things have been stressful as of late, many of our loses have been close to me, but still there have been worse moon. I hope things are going well in Ivyclan at least.”
Cragshriek lead the two excited kits into the gathering his eyes watching at the two kits ran excitedly into the gather. He hadn’t quite realized what he signed up for, though he didn’t mind. He knew the two could use the break, away from the grief of their family.
Loki couldn’t help but smile at the apprentices response, his tail sweeping In front of him as sat down. “Well this one here has quite the spunk doesn’t she? Perhaps a potential fierce warrior stands before us now” as he finshed speaking Cynder gave him a playful shrug. “Shhh” she said, turning her attention back to the apprentice. “Don’t mind my weird friend here. Im Cynder, they’re Loki. We’re from Geminiclan, we’re just taking our time, waiting to see if those strangers cat show up.” At Cyder’s words, Loki glanced around. This was much more for her companion than her, but she didn’t mind helping her new friend. Some would think him a weird choice to trust, but she knew she was safe from any betrayal.

Mangostem looked up as a pretty tortoiseshell approached him and introduced herself. He could easily tell she was nervous due to her stuttering, and made sure to be gentle with the newcomer, "Nice to meet you, Joystick." He purred softly, "My name is Mangostem- of Tundraclan." He smiled politely, "I don't believe I've heard of The Arcats before, is your clan new?" Mangostem asked gently. His heart still felt as if it was broken in a million pieces after the deaths of his family, but he felt as if a new friend to distract him would be ideal.

the older tom gave a very grateful smile to the tom as he shuffled over to allow the larger tom space to sit beside him. he shuffled closely with a gracious dip of the head before he sat in the space provided for him. for a brief moment, he allowed himself to close his eyes as his nostrils flared as he took in the strong scents of herbs surrounding him, in an effort to fully calm himself. after a few short breaths, his blue and green eyes flickered back open, refocusing on the smaller tom before him. "good to meet you flicker. i'm zarude; i'm the healer for pocketclan. and please, don't apologize for your clan being unique in some way. in my eyes, thats a wonderful thing. my clan has several unique oddities that are different from other clans as well. our naming system is just one example, as well as our faith beliefs. take pride in the things that make you different, don't be ashamed of them."

Heron popped one eye open, taking in the sight of a cat whose pelt seemed to split right down the middle. Slowly, their other eye fluttered open, and their jaw stretched wide in another involuntary yawn. After several more seconds, they dragged themselves up into a sitting position and leaned down to groom some ruffled fur on their chest. "I'm Heron of AviaryClan. Nice to meet you, Ghoul," they meowed, their voice scratchy with the nap they'd just barely fallen into before waking. They reached a paw up to rub their eyes, hoping they didn't have anything in the corners.

palkia molly - 51 moons (leader) - tags; wolfsong (truffleclan)
shorthair manx snow bengal rosette dilute torbie w/ low white & bright blue eyes.
the manx molly quite appreciated the fact that every other moon, she switched off with her co-leader dialga and was able to attend the gathering. she loved meeting all sorts of new cats, and this moon she had her new mate corviknight by her side to sooth her antsy paws. looking at the other molly fondly, she nuzzled her gently before turning to speak to their clanmates who had come with them. "alright, you all know the drill. we meet back here at the end of the gathering, so that we can walk back to the portal location together, and nobody gets left behind. since its their first gatherings, corviknight will stick with me, and xatu, try to find shaymin or zarude before the night is up, just so you don't get lost. have fun everyone." with that, the pair headed off into the gathering clearing with smiles on their face. of course, palkia's jumbled nerves of excitement got the best of her, and she tripped over her own two paws, knocking right into another cat on accident. if the molly could have blushed, she would have. "oh goodness, i'm so sorry!"
corviknight molly - 46 moons (warrior) - tags; wolfsong (truffleclan)
longhair dilute tortie rosette with ojos azules.
being a former kittypet, the molly had never once attended a gathering before, and was quite a bit nervous about the idea of being in such an open environment with hundreds of other clan cats. what if the two-legs found them? what if a predator came and tore through the cats? she tried to shake her head free of the thoughts, knowing that she wasn't going to leave her mate palkia's side all evening, just in case. there was something about palkia that soothed her anxieties, despite the fact that the other molly tended to be more of a bundle of energy than herself (certainly a mixture of her own excitement and nerves). she smiled at their clanmates as the pair turned and began to walk into the group of cats, knowing from previously conversations that palkia would likely lead them towards the leaders high rock. however, they didn't quite make it that far, and she stopped just short of falling over her mate and a tom-cat that she had run into. rushing forward, she quickly helped her mate back to her feet, before offering her assistance with a kind smile to the tall tom. "are you alright sir? i'm corviknight, and this is palkia, by the way. we're of pocketclan."
Cockroachstar gave a sympathetic glance and wrapped his paws around Carrotstar, giving him a hug. "I'm so, so sorry Carrotstar. You and Seaclan don't deserve to be put through this kind of hell." The maine coon felt like wailing. How could anyone have betrayed Seaclan and his dear friend Carrotstar so much? How could anyone kill elders and other cats? Cockroachstar claws dug into the ground at the mention of rogues. He had just lost 2 lives from the final battle with the rogues harassing Tundraclan, and many of his clanmates had died. Cockroachstar worried for his friend. He knew Carrotstar was a strong and respectable leader, but many rogues were ruthless. "If there is anything Tundraclan or I could do, let me know."
Crestcloud begged for Swordspirit to come to the gathering with her, but Crestcloud ended up sick with a stomach ache and Swordspirit had to go without her. Except she wasn't alone. Her father was with her. She didn't want to deal with his worries about her. She was fine and always would be. Before Failnaughtfire could even attempt to talk to her, she walked away, and as she kept her head low to the ground, she accidentally bumped into a she-cat. She shook her head and apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you. As she looked at the other cat, Swordspirit knew she didn't recognize the scent or cat.

Blazerumble looked left and right as she anxiously approached the Gathering, her tail limp behind her as she let her ears plaster themselves to her head. "I don't know if I can do this," she mumbled softly, but she felt Carneliansight gently bump his shoulder against hers in encouragement. With a deep breath, she pulled a bright smile onto her face and trotted eagerly into the mass of cats. She had barely been in the Outback Runners for a moon, so she wasn't quite sure why Marbledstar had asked her to attend the Gathering this moon. Despite easily and eagerly making friends in the camp, this was an entirely new situation that made her rather uncomfortable. The fear of stepping on any paws or tails filled her with constant dread, so her eyes glued themselves to the ground so as to avoid any accidents.
Blue chuckled as Shimmerpelt commented on his Clan's particularly unique way of life. "Well, our elders very rarely leave our camp. See, the branches of the trees have woven together to create a platform on which we have constructed our dens. Over time, the previous generations of AviaryClan created short pathways to the sun and to the ground for those with mobility issues to use, though most of our cats prefer the leaping and climbing," he explained. "As for the raining or flooding, our canopy is dense enough that it protects us from all but the most horrendous storms. Is there anything particularly unique about CaveClan?" he meowed, realizing he'd been talking about AviaryClan for far longer than was considered polite.
Minnow's Mumble bit back a laugh as Bramblingpath asked her question. "We are one of six Orders, or groups, that once called our territory home. My group, the Order of the Hyena, is the only one remaining now. A hyena is a predator, dog-like and cat-like at the same time, but they mostly prefer to scavenge over hunting. Each Order follows the spirit of their animal, so mine follows the spirit of a hyena. It mostly means that my Clan only allows mollies to be the leaders, but we are also quite ruthless and unforgiving," he darkened his voice before his face brightened with a chuckle. "SpruceClan sounds like quite a lovely name for a Clan! I only recently joined my Clan, having previously come from NyxClan," he meowed, glad to get his former Clan out into the open so that she might forgive any slip ups he makes.
Meerkat's Burrow heart warmed as Pupdog chattered on and on about kits. "Oh, they sure are a pawful. They've only recently gotten old enough to leave the nest and wander around, and I was practically begging my leader for a night at the Gathering so that I could have some time away. I'm sure that one day, when you have kits of your own, you'll be trying as hard as you possibly can to get short breaks away," she purred. It was true that Eagle and Mosquito were already getting into so much trouble, but she wouldn't trade her time with them or her older, adopted kits for anything in the world.
Bonobo smiled kindly at Etoilepaw before turning to look at Lionpaw. "Maybe you can hang around with us for the evening?" he asked gently, hoping not to overstep any boundaries with Lionpaw. "I think it would be a bit of a waste to come all this way and not get to know two amazingly awesome future warriors," he crowed, puffing his chest out and winking.
Bonobo grinned at Lionpaw's enthusiasm, but he agreed with the tom's final statement. Any cat, if pushed into the right circumstance, could take on any warrior at the Gathering. "They all seem so big, but we'll be that big one day. I bet we'll be the largest and strongest," he straightened, making himself seem taller yet in all reality, he was still very small. "You will too, Etoilepaw! I bet you dream of being a grand warrior, or whatever your Clan calls that group of cats," he quickly jumped back to the molly.
Faondapple's stomach was flipping and turning as Bramblinglight detailed the gruesome deaths of her clanmates, but she kept a calm demeanor and expression for the benefit of her friend. As the molly slipped into a loop of self-blame and loathing, Faondapple let out a soft sigh. "Cats who don't want to be suspected are often some of the best actors. You probably never knew the full extent of Avocetpool's emotions or personality, mostly because she likely hid a majority of herself from you. The pain of betrayal is one that stings long and deep, it sometimes feels like it's suffocating you. You can't let it drag you down, Bramblinglight. Find what brings you joy, and continue to put your entire self into that. St the very least, use it as a distraction," she murmured, hoping to give advice. She couldn't even imagine how her friend was feeling, mostly because the betrayals in ChessClan had been of cats she only knew in passing. The torment of knowing you trusted a murderer must be consuming, and Faondapple could feel her heart breaking for the SeaClan medicine cat.

the pure white tom made sure to continue to make eye contact as he spoke with the younger tom; it was clear to him that this was the other healers first, or at least one of his first few, gatherings. zarude couldn't help but think back to his own few first gatherings, and how nervous he had been by the sheer number of cats, and worry that had filled him about his clan being different. he hoped he could ease any of those same feelings in this other cat, even just by a little bit, like the other healers he had spoken to many moons ago had been able to do for him. with a gracious dip of the head and a low chuckle, he couldn't help the smile on his face as he was asked about his clan. "well, pocketclan is a clan of travelers. unlike most clans, who make their territory and camp in one place and settle, we tend to move on every few moons. we have wide variety of lands we consider our territory, varying from two-leg places to mountains to beach sides. we find all sorts of different cats at each location we go to, so our clan is made up of many cats of all shapes and backgrounds. would you mind telling me a bit about your clan? i'm curious about it as well."

nectarinesplash molly - 32 moons (nandor) - tags; chiaseed (totemclan)
peterbald (hairless) blue tortie colorpoint molly w/ deep blue eyes.
the colorpoint hairless molly listened intently as the other molly spoke her own story to her, she could tell that she was a bit nervous or even perhaps ashamed, and so nectarinesplsh leaned forward for a second, touching her muzzle to the other molly's head in an act of comfort before puling back. she listened intently as the smaller molly spoke of her own past before the clan. she wasn't sure what the molly meant about the lights in the sky, but it sounded very pretty. "i can't say that i have ever seen those dancing lights, but perhaps someday i'll see them and think of you." she couldn't help the slightly flirtatious tone to her voice as she purred out her words. "i quite like your story. it sounds much more interesting than mine, at the very least. i've never been around two-legs before, aside from the occasional ones that come to the forest to hunt, but that party sounds like all sorts of fun in my mind. if you ever were to go back, you'll have to take me; i'd love to see it.
baldstar dipped his head knowingly; he may be generally naïve with social cues, but he knew better than to press for information about in-clan activities. "well i congratulate you," his tone was light, steering the conversation away from talking about anything that might stir tension. "has seaclan treated you well in your time there? do you have kits, perhaps?" baldstar inquired, drawing his tail closer as a cat padded a little too close for comfort.
scrapbeak blinked once. twice. three times. just to make sure that she wasn't hallucinating this small molly scrunched up against her. she tried to force a scowl, to pin her ears and furrow her brow irritably, but... hmmph. she couldn't imagine ruining this poor basically-still-a-kit's first gathering. "well, good instincts are good to have," she nodded firmly, inwardly sighing at herself for relenting so quickly. "they'll either keep you out of trouble... or keep you from getting caught," she winked, giving a mischievous grin at the latter. "we'll see about friends, hasn't anyone ever told you be careful around strangers?" she chuffed, though even if pebblepaw had been told that, she'd clearly not taken it to heart. but scrapbeak was safe. for pebblepaw, at least. she couldn't vouch much for the safe return of any shiny objects or personal property. "prey? birds. any kind. what do i like to do best..?" her grin widened and she produced a shiny gold coin from tucked somewhere in her fur. "i borrow things. shiny stuff, mostly. pretty cool, huh." the gold coin glinted across her face in the light of the full moon overhead.
tinypaw scrunched their nose at the talk of so many stinky dogs. he had never liked them, not once not never! tinypaw's eyes brightened at the mention of plenty of trees to scale. "totemclan has lots of trees, too! only a few different kinds though. most of them look the same, really tall and skinny," they explained. "totemclan is... cold!" they gave a mock shiver. "but i like the snow so i don't mind. i like my mentor, and all of my denmates are nice. there's a lot of kits in the nursery right now, so the den is going to be extra cozy soon," he grinned, the complaint mild, as he was greatly looking forward to the opportunity to hide more bugs in more cats' nests, which had earned them plenty of scowls from the other apprentices though tinypaw was otherwise so sweet that they forgave him swiftly.
paintpaw listened with curiosity at laurelpaw's description of her fellow apprentices; though they had plenty of denmates back at totemclan, the thought that every clan could have so many apprentices, so many cats! so many possible friends! paintpaw could hardly wrap their mind around it. "fishing!" paintpaw gasped. "i haven't even touched a toe in the water! much less catch a fish. that's so cool!" their enthusiasm was palpable as they wiggled their tail, swatting at is as if it were an aquatic creature. "you can paint anything you want! i paint other cats sometimes - i painted chiaseed once, she was so happy when i showed it too her, it was very hard to get the colors right for her eyes. and i've painted a mountain once! we have lots of those in totemclan." their eyes sparkled with excitement. "you can use your paws to smear it!" they drew a line in the dirt beneath their paws to indicate the motion. "and if you want the paints to come off, you can use a wet mossball. pretty cool, huh?" they were bouncing in place with delight.
