- Carrotstar - leader - tom - 79 moons - a shorthaired gingwr mackerel tabby with leaf-green eyes - tagged; Cockroachstar (TundraClan)
- Carrotstar relaxed at the bigger cat's fluffy tail resting on his shoulder as he neowed heavily, "I was right, but we could not stop the tragedy in its tracks until it was too late. He threatened to kill the medicine cats as they traveled to the Moonpool with me for advice from StarClan before accusing me of betraying the Clan's trust. I lost two of my lives at the paws of that young, misled cat, named Icyclaw, and only came back around to see that his last surviving sister - Winterflame - standing over his dead body." He sighed wearily, "One of our own medicine cats, Avocetpool, had helped Icyclaw by poisoning two of our elders and my own son, but she was originally tied to a group of rogues... who we must now worry about," the ginger tabby concluded with yet another sigh.
- Pinefoot stood back a little at the news as he stammered, "Oh... oh, did... did I interrupt your way to the leaders' rock?" The aging tom's graying whiskers twitched a little in embarrassment as he explained for his apparent mishap, "I've just been made deputy so I still have so much to learn..." He gulped and mewed calmly, forcing his fur to lie flat, "And as for your question, sir, yes. SeaClan is a large Clan. We live up in the Northland," he explained, flicking his tail vaguely toward the north, "where leafbares are harsh, and we make our homes on the cliffside caves by the sea... Great Waters," he corrected himself hastily, "as most cats outside our Clan would call it."
- Avocetpool was a traitor.
Dappleldawn regretted the day she and Sandripple agreed to have Sandripple mentor the black-and-white she-cat after she came running into the medicine cats' chamber for advice. If the two hadn't taken her in, she would never have known to use deathberries to kill the two gentle elders Obsidianheart and Hurricaneheart. The black calico sighed. With Sandripple having volunteered to resign from medicine cat duties, she was the oldest - and most resourceful - medicine cats in SeaClan. She sat down once she reached the clearing where medicine cats gathered, and curled up, watching the cats go by through half-closed eyes.
Honeytuft, she wondered silently, what would you do in my place?

- Bramblinglight had refused to attend the Gathering, just had her former mentor, Dappledawn, had done. Yet here she was, along with the head medicine cat herself. Comfreyleaf had been the one to coax the two, very distraught, she-cats to come. The youngest of the three remaining medicine cats of SeaClan took a deep breath as she forcibly put on a smile on her face. She would pay for having trusted a traitor, Bramblinglight decided, by putting her all into healing cats and interpreting the signs of her warrior ancestors for the sake of her Clan.
Bramblinglight hadn't realized her claws were unsheathed and digging into the soft earth below until Comfreyleaf had warned her. The black mackerel torbie she-cat jolted into reality at the blue-gray she-cat's words, and she nodded shakily. Once the older medicine cat seememd satisfied, Bramblinglight began to wander into the crowd, scanning the crowd for... for...
"Faondapple!"
The SeaClan medicine cat felt new energy building in her leg muscles at the distinct coat of her friend in ChessClan. The torbie she-cat raced to meet her friend and, before the ChessClan cat could greet her or even react to her presence, the fluffy she-cat thrust her fur into the other she-cat's flank and sobbed ubcontrollably. Whatever guards, walls, chains she'd put around her true feelings, were gone in an instant as raw emotion wracked through Bramblinglight's entire body.
"I was a fool!" She cried, "I trusted her, Faondapple! We trusted her!"
- Sharkfang's mind was a dizzying whirlwind of thoughts as he walked the edge of the huge crowd. Chesnutwish was Ravenwish's sister. That made Obsidianheart and Hurricaneheart - Chesnutwish's parents - the parents of that mangy piece of crowfood who had committed al those unspeakable atrocities under his accursed father's reign as tyrant. Icyclaw - biological son of the brave queen Silkfeather who had died defending him and his sisters as kits - had ended up in league with cats within his Clan, including the poisoner, Avocetpool, and had killed Obsidianheart, Hurricaneheart, Squashpath, and Foxflame... not to mention, his own sister Magpiepelt and his own blood-uncle Sticklenose.
Then there was Avocetpool. The deceitfully petit she-cat was a traitor from the beginning, and had been conspiring with a rogue group to sow chaos upon his beloved Clan.
Sharkfang was jolted into reality as a chocolate Persian was suddenly shoved in front of him by another cat. At the she-cat's frightened question reached the gray tom's ears, the SeaClan warrior replied politely, inwardly cursing himself for looking so thoroughly like his father, Stormfang (who, he admitted, looked quite intimidating), "Hello." The lean gray tom wrapped his tail about his paws in an attempt to make himself even less threatening as he added, "Pleased to make yoir acquaintenace. I am Sharkfang, warrior of SeaClan. And you are?"
- Balancetail mewed cheerfully, wisely deciding not to take note or mention Mintfur's particular speech patterns, "Oh, no, pleasure is all mine, Mintnfur." He then added, a little embarrassed, "I... cal myself a curious lad, and, in my youth, I wish to learn about the cultures of many different Clans to help assist Carrotstar and any future leaders after him to better my Clan. I was hoping you - a valued member of your Clan - could enlighten me in any interesting facts about your Clan culture, and... perhaps... any advice in general, to live as a warrior of any Clan?"
- Tidefall murmured some words of encouragement to the two young apprentices beside her before she watched them disappear in two different directions. The pretty ginger she-cat then turned on her heels and headed another way, and spotted a potential new friend - sitting just across the clearing from her. She called out cheerfully, hoping to strike up a conversation with cat, "Hello!" She quicklyy closed the distance between herself and them before mewing again, flicking her tail happily in a sign of friendship, "I'm Tidefall, of SeaClan, and it's just my second time to the Gathering. Hope it's all right for me to sit next to you?" Her blue eyes shone brightly in the moonlight as the ginger she-cat smiled.

- Etoiled squeaked a little in surprise at the appearance of another cat and stammered, "I... I..." She took a big gulp of fresh air before meowing in a burst, "I'malittlelostandIwashopingyoucouldhelpmefindanycatsfromSeaClan." Once she was finished, she realized she'd said the entire sentence in one breath and flattened her ears, embarrsssed. It was a few, awlward moments before the ticked tabby was able to repeat her request, but in a more understandable manner: "I'm a little lost and I was hoping you could help me find any cats from SeaClan." After another few moments, she added, "Oh. Uhhhh I'm Etoilepaw, of SeaClan."
- Steelpaw sighed in relief and meowed, "Oh, CaveClan. So you are a Clan cat, cool. Thought I'd run into a rogue or something, ahaha..." He then nodded, just barely containing his excitement, "Yes! My first time here, I was made an apprentice just two moons ago," he explained, "and I was soooo excited when Carrotstar called my name while picking who to go to the Gathering with him." He then hastily added, "Oh, right. Our leader's a big ginger cat namd Carrotstar. You can't really miss him," he nodded sagely.
