Gathering Aug '22 | SeaClan [002]

Postby winter solstice. » Sun Aug 07, 2022 1:08 am

SeaClan
Cats Attending: Carrotstar (leader), Pinefoot (deputy), Dappledawn (head med cat), Comfreyleaf (med cat), Bramblinglight (med cat), Sharkfang (warrior), Balancetail (warrior), Tidefall (warrior), Limelight (warrior), Etoilepaw (apprentice), Steelpaw (apprentice)

Carrotstar - leader - tom - 79 moons - a shorthaired gingwr mackerel tabby with leaf-green eyes - tagged; Cockroachstar (TundraClan)
Carrotstar relaxed at the bigger cat's fluffy tail resting on his shoulder as he neowed heavily, "I was right, but we could not stop the tragedy in its tracks until it was too late. He threatened to kill the medicine cats as they traveled to the Moonpool with me for advice from StarClan before accusing me of betraying the Clan's trust. I lost two of my lives at the paws of that young, misled cat, named Icyclaw, and only came back around to see that his last surviving sister - Winterflame - standing over his dead body." He sighed wearily, "One of our own medicine cats, Avocetpool, had helped Icyclaw by poisoning two of our elders and my own son, but she was originally tied to a group of rogues... who we must now worry about," the ginger tabby concluded with yet another sigh.
Pinefoot - deputy - tom - 87 moons - a shorthaired black mackerel tabby - tagged; Baldstar (TotemClan)
Pinefoot stood back a little at the news as he stammered, "Oh... oh, did... did I interrupt your way to the leaders' rock?" The aging tom's graying whiskers twitched a little in embarrassment as he explained for his apparent mishap, "I've just been made deputy so I still have so much to learn..." He gulped and mewed calmly, forcing his fur to lie flat, "And as for your question, sir, yes. SeaClan is a large Clan. We live up in the Northland," he explained, flicking his tail vaguely toward the north, "where leafbares are harsh, and we make our homes on the cliffside caves by the sea... Great Waters," he corrected himself hastily, "as most cats outside our Clan would call it."
Dappledawn - head medicine cat - she-cat - 77 moons -a shorthaired black calico with light green eyes and a twisted front paw - tagged; reserved for PineClan
        Avocetpool was a traitor.

Dappleldawn regretted the day she and Sandripple agreed to have Sandripple mentor the black-and-white she-cat after she came running into the medicine cats' chamber for advice. If the two hadn't taken her in, she would never have known to use deathberries to kill the two gentle elders Obsidianheart and Hurricaneheart. The black calico sighed. With Sandripple having volunteered to resign from medicine cat duties, she was the oldest - and most resourceful - medicine cats in SeaClan. She sat down once she reached the clearing where medicine cats gathered, and curled up, watching the cats go by through half-closed eyes.

Honeytuft, she wondered silently, what would you do in my place?
Comfreyleaf - medicine cat - she-cat - 58 moons - a shorthaired solid gray cat with green eyes - tagged; open
        text.
Bramblinglight - medicine cat - she-cat - 35 moons - a longhaired black mackerel torbie with yellow eyes - tagged; Faondapple (ChessClan)
Bramblinglight had refused to attend the Gathering, just had her former mentor, Dappledawn, had done. Yet here she was, along with the head medicine cat herself. Comfreyleaf had been the one to coax the two, very distraught, she-cats to come. The youngest of the three remaining medicine cats of SeaClan took a deep breath as she forcibly put on a smile on her face. She would pay for having trusted a traitor, Bramblinglight decided, by putting her all into healing cats and interpreting the signs of her warrior ancestors for the sake of her Clan.

Bramblinglight hadn't realized her claws were unsheathed and digging into the soft earth below until Comfreyleaf had warned her. The black mackerel torbie she-cat jolted into reality at the blue-gray she-cat's words, and she nodded shakily. Once the older medicine cat seememd satisfied, Bramblinglight began to wander into the crowd, scanning the crowd for... for...

        "Faondapple!"

The SeaClan medicine cat felt new energy building in her leg muscles at the distinct coat of her friend in ChessClan. The torbie she-cat raced to meet her friend and, before the ChessClan cat could greet her or even react to her presence, the fluffy she-cat thrust her fur into the other she-cat's flank and sobbed ubcontrollably. Whatever guards, walls, chains she'd put around her true feelings, were gone in an instant as raw emotion wracked through Bramblinglight's entire body.

"I was a fool!" She cried, "I trusted her, Faondapple! We trusted her!"
Sharkfang - warrior - tom - 58 moons - a shorthaired solid gray cat with green eyes - tagged; Tealeaf (Whiskered Away)
Sharkfang's mind was a dizzying whirlwind of thoughts as he walked the edge of the huge crowd. Chesnutwish was Ravenwish's sister. That made Obsidianheart and Hurricaneheart - Chesnutwish's parents - the parents of that mangy piece of crowfood who had committed al those unspeakable atrocities under his accursed father's reign as tyrant. Icyclaw - biological son of the brave queen Silkfeather who had died defending him and his sisters as kits - had ended up in league with cats within his Clan, including the poisoner, Avocetpool, and had killed Obsidianheart, Hurricaneheart, Squashpath, and Foxflame... not to mention, his own sister Magpiepelt and his own blood-uncle Sticklenose.

Then there was Avocetpool. The deceitfully petit she-cat was a traitor from the beginning, and had been conspiring with a rogue group to sow chaos upon his beloved Clan.

Sharkfang was jolted into reality as a chocolate Persian was suddenly shoved in front of him by another cat. At the she-cat's frightened question reached the gray tom's ears, the SeaClan warrior replied politely, inwardly cursing himself for looking so thoroughly like his father, Stormfang (who, he admitted, looked quite intimidating), "Hello." The lean gray tom wrapped his tail about his paws in an attempt to make himself even less threatening as he added, "Pleased to make yoir acquaintenace. I am Sharkfang, warrior of SeaClan. And you are?"
Balancetail - warrior - tom - 22 moons - a shorthaired black-and-white cat with olive eyes - tagged; Mintfur (SpruceClan)
Balancetail mewed cheerfully, wisely deciding not to take note or mention Mintfur's particular speech patterns, "Oh, no, pleasure is all mine, Mintnfur." He then added, a little embarrassed, "I... cal myself a curious lad, and, in my youth, I wish to learn about the cultures of many different Clans to help assist Carrotstar and any future leaders after him to better my Clan. I was hoping you - a valued member of your Clan - could enlighten me in any interesting facts about your Clan culture, and... perhaps... any advice in general, to live as a warrior of any Clan?"
      Tidefall - warrior - she-cat - 34 moons - a longhaired ginger-and-white mackrel tabt with blue eyes - tagged; Ibispool (QuickClan)
Tidefall murmured some words of encouragement to the two young apprentices beside her before she watched them disappear in two different directions. The pretty ginger she-cat then turned on her heels and headed another way, and spotted a potential new friend - sitting just across the clearing from her. She called out cheerfully, hoping to strike up a conversation with cat, "Hello!" She quicklyy closed the distance between herself and them before mewing again, flicking her tail happily in a sign of friendship, "I'm Tidefall, of SeaClan, and it's just my second time to the Gathering. Hope it's all right for me to sit next to you?" Her blue eyes shone brightly in the moonlight as the ginger she-cat smiled.
Limelight - warrior - she-cat - 16 moons - a mediumhaired amber mackerel tabby with blue eyes (ojos azules) - tagged; open
        text.
Etoilepaw - apprentice - she-cat - 7 moons - a black ticked mediumhair with low white, curled ears, snowflake vitiligo, and green eyes - tagged; Bonobo (Order of the Hyena), Lionpaw (QuickClan)
Etoiled squeaked a little in surprise at the appearance of another cat and stammered, "I... I..." She took a big gulp of fresh air before meowing in a burst, "I'malittlelostandIwashopingyoucouldhelpmefindanycatsfromSeaClan." Once she was finished, she realized she'd said the entire sentence in one breath and flattened her ears, embarrsssed. It was a few, awlward moments before the ticked tabby was able to repeat her request, but in a more understandable manner: "I'm a little lost and I was hoping you could help me find any cats from SeaClan." After another few moments, she added, "Oh. Uhhhh I'm Etoilepaw, of SeaClan."
Steelpaw - apprentice - tom - 8 moons - a mediumhaired gray mackerel tabby with yellow eyes - tagged; Wildpaw (CaveClan)
Steelpaw sighed in relief and meowed, "Oh, CaveClan. So you are a Clan cat, cool. Thought I'd run into a rogue or something, ahaha..." He then nodded, just barely containing his excitement, "Yes! My first time here, I was made an apprentice just two moons ago," he explained, "and I was soooo excited when Carrotstar called my name while picking who to go to the Gathering with him." He then hastily added, "Oh, right. Our leader's a big ginger cat namd Carrotstar. You can't really miss him," he nodded sagely.

𝓟𝓸𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓽𝓬𝓵𝓪𝓷════════════════════════════════════════════════
cats in attendance;
palkia, shaymin, zarude, corviknight, xatu

palkia molly - 51 moons (leader) - tags; wolfsong (truffleclan)
shorthair manx snow bengal rosette dilute torbie w/ low white & bright blue eyes.
the manx molly quite appreciated the fact that every other moon, she switched off with her co-leader dialga and was able to attend the gathering. she loved meeting all sorts of new cats, and this moon she had her new mate corviknight by her side to sooth her antsy paws. looking at the other molly fondly, she nuzzled her gently before turning to speak to their clanmates who had come with them. "alright, you all know the drill. we meet back here at the end of the gathering, so that we can walk back to the portal location together, and nobody gets left behind. since its their first gatherings, corviknight will stick with me, and xatu, try to find shaymin or zarude before the night is up, just so you don't get lost. have fun everyone." with that, the pair headed off into the gathering clearing with smiles on their face. of course, palkia's jumbled nerves of excitement got the best of her, and she tripped over her own two paws, knocking right into another cat on accident. if the molly could have blushed, she would have. "oh goodness, i'm so sorry!"

shaymin molly - 52 moons (deputy) - tags; silverstomp (tundraclan)
black torbie-and-white longhair w/ olive green eyes.
the fluffy molly's eyes widened to an almost comical level at the name of her former fling being mentioned having more kits than just her own. she couldn't help the way her mouth gaped open like a fish, opening and closing several times as she tried to fight her shock and find words to say in response. "i-i'm sorry for my reaction. i myself had a short romance with honeytuft myself; this is how i met my friend, the one i thought you looked like. honeytuft and i had two kits, both of whom reside in my clan and are apprentices now; my sons magmar and swinub. i-i had no idea that he had other kits, or that my own kits have half-siblings out there. its just, a bit of a shock to me is all. my apologies." the deputy shook her head a little bit to try and clear away the thoughts, trying to remember what the other molly said after the bomb was dropped on her. "we tend to wait until all kits are at least apprentice-aged before we take to the road again. i would say that some of my favorite places that we have gone are up high in the mountain range, although we tend to only go there during the warmer moons, as well as the beach-side cities with the salty ocean water, which is where we try to spend colder moons."

zarude tom - 75 moons (healer) - tags; flicker (the arcats)
longhair white manx with blue/green heterochromia.
the older tom gave a very grateful smile to the tom as he shuffled over to allow the larger tom space to sit beside him. he shuffled closely with a gracious dip of the head before he sat in the space provided for him. for a brief moment, he allowed himself to close his eyes as his nostrils flared as he took in the strong scents of herbs surrounding him, in an effort to fully calm himself. after a few short breaths, his blue and green eyes flickered back open, refocusing on the smaller tom before him. "good to meet you flicker. i'm zarude; i'm the healer for pocketclan. and please, don't apologize for your clan being unique in some way. in my eyes, thats a wonderful thing. my clan has several unique oddities that are different from other clans as well. our naming system is just one example, as well as our faith beliefs. take pride in the things that make you different, don't be ashamed of them."

corviknight molly - 46 moons (warrior) - tags; wolfsong (truffleclan)
longhair dilute tortie rosette with ojos azules.
being a former kittypet, the molly had never once attended a gathering before, and was quite a bit nervous about the idea of being in such an open environment with hundreds of other clan cats. what if the two-legs found them? what if a predator came and tore through the cats? she tried to shake her head free of the thoughts, knowing that she wasn't going to leave her mate palkia's side all evening, just in case. there was something about palkia that soothed her anxieties, despite the fact that the other molly tended to be more of a bundle of energy than herself (certainly a mixture of her own excitement and nerves). she smiled at their clanmates as the pair turned and began to walk into the group of cats, knowing from previously conversations that palkia would likely lead them towards the leaders high rock. however, they didn't quite make it that far, and she stopped just short of falling over her mate and a tom-cat that she had run into. rushing forward, she quickly helped her mate back to her feet, before offering her assistance with a kind smile to the tall tom. "are you alright sir? i'm corviknight, and this is palkia, by the way. we're of pocketclan."

xatu molly - 60 moons (warrior) - tags; carneliansight (outback runners)
black silver mackerel longhair with yellow eyes.
the silver molly sat down daintily, wrapping her tail around her front paws as she got comfortable, her yellow eyes respectfully watching the tom before her as he described life in his clan. there were some things that she understood about what he was saying, although other topics were a bit more confusing in her mind, and she couldnt help but tilt her head slightly in confusion at some of his words. "wow, that sounds like quite a difficult territory. it must get incredibly hot there; i'm glad you have found a spot that at least has a water supply, despite the predators that lurk. pocketclan is a traveling clan, so we are constantly moving around our camp; whether it be finding abandoned spaces in two-leg camps, or finding safe spaces in the wilderness between these two-leg spaces." she found that bringing up her own new clan, while also commenting on his clan, may be a good conversation starter. at his final comment however, she found a small laugh bubbling out of her that she couldn't contain. with a final chuckle, she shook her head, the smile on her face hiding nothing. "well, i think it all depends on the cats in question. my name doesn't come from me being a flirtatious cat or anything like that. i actually have been given the gift of foresight; on occasion, i am struck by random visions of specific cats, about their futures. some cats don't believe in my abilities and so they scoff and walk off, but others are gracious when i approach them about a vision i've had of them. all i ever want to do is help others, providing them hope or happiness about their life."

𝓢𝓱𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓼════════════════════════════════════════════════
cats in attendance;
nectarinesplash

nectarinesplash molly - 32 moons (nandor) - tags; chiaseed (totemclan)
peterbald (hairless) blue tortie colorpoint molly w/ deep blue eyes.
the colorpoint molly couldn't help the way her blue eyes stayed locked on the pretty eyes on the molly before her; she just couldn't believe her luck in meeting such a pretty thing who was so eager to throw back her own flirtatious comments back at her. when the other molly's tail fell across her front paws, she twitched ever so slightly, as she wasn't used to physical touch, since her father was never the most physically comforting cat. however, she found herself feeling a bit warm at the contact, and her own tail slipped forward, resting on top of the lilac molly's larger tail in a form of affirming the action. "oh goodness, its quite a terribly long story. but to be brief, we had a lot of horrible things go down in our own territory, which is where out clan was originally founded and resided in for nearly a hundred moons. we had a situation with dark spirits reaching forward from their place in the beyond and manipulating younger cats into doing their evil desires, followed by a horrible plague that wiped out at least three dozen cats within a few short moons. the disease seemed to have cleared itself from the camp, but there were just too many bad memories left there for anyone, and so our high ranking cats discussed with the rest of the clan the idea of a move, and nearly everyone was for it. it was hard, and we lost several cats during the travel itself as well."

IVYSTAR | Leader | F | 62 moons | TAGS: open
[ Fighting back a yawn (or three), Ivystar is quietly lamenting the energy of her youth as she drags herself into the general vicinity of other leaders. She’s excited to meet new friends or catch up with old ones, but at the same time, she’s very sleepy. Maybe she should’ve listened to Cardinaltail and slept in this evening... ]

CRICKETPOUNCE | Deputy | M | 87 moons | TAGS: Woolyfur (CaveClan)
breakCricketpounce was tired. It wasn’t the kind of tired that demanded he let his heavy eyes flutter shut, nor the kind where his energy to engage with others had been sapped to nothing. Cricketpounce, whose bones were beginning to ache when it rained and whose tender heart was still wracked with grief, was the kind of tired that whispered, “it’s time to let go.” He’d spoken with Ivystar about it some moons ago, and his leader had been so gentle and understanding that Cricketpounce didn’t even need to break out his stern parent voice. This Gathering might not be the last he ever saw, but it was certainly the last he’d ever attend as SpruceClan’s deputy.
breakThe tortoiseshell tom heaved a great sigh, feeling his age for once, and made his way over to the place he’d come to know as the deputy’s hangout. One cat, an older one with similarly grizzled fur, looked to be a decent partner for the evening. Cricketpounce approached them cautiously with his tail raised and waving politely. “Good evening,” he murmured, careful not to startle the other cat from their pensive rest. “Nice night, isn’t it?”

ADDERPOOL | Healer | M | 31 moons | TAGS: Lycheewings (QuickClan)
breakThough it was far from his first Gathering, Adderpool couldn’t help but give in to the same breathless giddiness he’d felt all those moons ago. He stood back to clear his head as the rest of SpruceClan entered the clearing, looking up at the stars to count them until he could breathe properly again. It was the same place, the same clans, the same time of night. But this was the first time he’d be attending and not have to call himself a warrior. Adderpool smiled to himself, then, the lopsided one that only ever came out when he was too pleased to stop it, and finally allowed himself to pick up the trail left behind by his clanmates.
breakThere was a certain allure to representing SpruceClan and its healers all by himself. There was also a great deal of pressure to perform, and he was only a fledgling healer, really, with neither his mentor nor his colleagues at his side. But Adderpool didn’t allow himself the time to mull this over, too pleased with the whole affair to even consider it, and readily approached the first unoccupied face in the crowd of distinctly herb-scented strangers. “Hello, you,” he said to them with a playful half-grin. “Mind if I stay a while?”

MINTFUR | Warrior | M | 54 moons | TAGS: Balancetail (SeaClan)
breakListening carefully to Balancetail’s youthful voice and genuine words, Mintfur couldn’t help a bewildered smile. Here was a young warrior who’d seen fit to ask him— Mintfur, of all the cats!— for advice? “It’d b-be an honor,” he meowed, flattered, “to aid SsseaClan in s-ssuch a way.” Now, he supposed, he’d just have to think of something valuable to share.
break”I come from S-spruceClan,” he began. His words were tentative, thoughtful. “It’s not t-too different fffrom other clans, I don’t think. At the day’s end, evvvery clan wantsss the s-same thing, right? T-t-to not only grrrow, but th-thrive.” Mintfur paused, changing course. “You, Balllancetail, are the onllly cat you c-can control. If you are sssure of yourself and yourrr path, you will fffind life much more f-fulfilling. It’sss a wonderful gift, to know onessself and t-to get to knnnow othersss.” Quieting, Mintfur bit his lip. That… was much more than he’d meant to say. ‘I hope he didn’t feel like I was lecturing him!’

BRAMBLINGPATH | Warrior | F | 28 moons | TAGS: Minnow’s Mumble (Order of the Hyena)
break“Its a pleasure, Minnow’s Mumble,” Bramblingpath said, acknowledging the tom’s cheery greeting with a polite nod. Though she still wished she could be home in her nest, there was no denying the flicker of curiosity that sparked in her mind. Surely a chat with this oddly-named fellow would be more interesting than lying awake listening to Dawnfire’s snores. “My name is Bramblingpath,” she greeted. “I’m from SpruceClan.” Then, with only a tinge of embarrassment, she asked the question she’d been mulling over. “Hope you don’t mind me asking this, but what exactly is a hyena, and why do you need to order them?”

STORMCHASE | Warrior | M | 14 moons | TAGS: open
breakStormchase tried to keep the scowl from his face, but it was a futile effort. Just hours earlier, he’d gotten an earful from Blackberryfur over his poorly-timed spat with Darkstone. (The back of his head still stung from where she’d clubbed him.) Stormchase hated feeling guilty, and he hated Darkstone, and he especially hated feeling guilty about Darkstone. Now, not even a whole day after it had all unfolded, he was supposed to go off and make the clan look good. ’Not that I’m worried about that or anything,’ he thought, chin raising ever so slightly, ’but even I can’t always be at my best.’
breakStill scowling, Stormchase stomped over to the very edge of the Gathering, and sat down to wallow in his own misery. It wasn’t a very warrior-like thing to do, but he figured he was allowed to slack off every once in a while. Maybe the privacy would give him time to cool his head.

PEBBLEPAW | Apprentice | F | 8 moons | TAGS: Scrapbeak (TotemClan)
breakPebblepaw was halfway through her third recitation of the pep talk Alderbeam gave her earlier when an unfamiliar shadow began to creep up behind the rock she’d settled upon. But the little apprentice was much too absorbed in her self-soothing ritual to notice a thing— until the shadow opened its mouth and spoke to her, that is! Pebblepaw, who had managed to refrain from flinching, refused to let this big, tough-looking molly know that she’d nearly leapt out of her fur at the sound of her voice. “No! I’m eight moons and a half,” she squeaked, puffing her chest. “And my name’s Pebblepaw.”
breakShe scrambled off the rock quickly, intent on proving her big age to the stranger, and immediately found herself craning her neck upwards to make eye contact. Well, no matter! Pebblepaw’s brothers were big, too. She didn’t mind talking to cats twice her height. “Who are you?” she asked, and then, sucking in a deep breath, launched into a deluge of further questions. “Where’d you come from? How many squirrel-lengths are you? Do you like being tall? Wrenpelt says the weather feels different when you’re tall, is that true? Can we be friends?”

EAGLEFUR | Leader | F | 21 moons | TAGS: open
breakEaglefur was reasonably certain this wasn’t the Moonstone. (But then again, it had been quite some time since her one and only visit there…) If this were the Moonstone, the winds of change had certainly seen fit to blow through it. What she’d anticipated to be a small cavern had instead revealed itself to be a wide plateau of dry earth, speckled with unfamiliar cats and even more appearing by the pawful from every direction. She blinked a few times. The hallucination didn’t waver or fade in the slightest.
break“It seems,” said Eaglefur, carefully, “that I’ve gotten very lost.” A twinge of fear flickered briefly through her consciousness, though her stony expression did not falter. “I think I need to sit down.” She did so, with a rather undignified thump. There was no use in paying the fear any mind. Eaglefur knew better than to let it cloud her judgement and send her running off, only to get even further turned around. The wise thing to do would be to stay put and wait to see if any of the strangers happened to know the way out of here.

      OUTBACK RUNNERS !!
Blazerumble | Molly - Chaser - 25 Moons - Tagged: Open (Reserved for Blazetail of The Gladiators)

Blazerumble looked left and right as she anxiously approached the Gathering, her tail limp behind her as she let her ears plaster themselves to her head. "I don't know if I can do this," she mumbled softly, but she felt Carneliansight gently bump his shoulder against hers in encouragement. With a deep breath, she pulled a bright smile onto her face and trotted eagerly into the mass of cats. She had barely been in the Outback Runners for a moon, so she wasn't quite sure why Marbledstar had asked her to attend the Gathering this moon. Despite easily and eagerly making friends in the camp, this was an entirely new situation that made her rather uncomfortable. The fear of stepping on any paws or tails filled her with constant dread, so her eyes glued themselves to the ground so as to avoid any accidents.

Carneliansight | Tom - Runner - 45 Moons - Tagged: Xatu of PocketClan

Carneliansight's eyes widened as Xatu spoke of PocketClan being nomadic. He didn't believe he could ever live in a Clan that didn't call one spot home, even though he'd been born in one territory and moved to another with his entire Clan not all that long ago. As the molly spoke of her visions, Carneliansight couldn't help but kind of distrust her words. There'd once been a cat in the Clan who'd claimed to see the future, but he'd turned on them and killed many. "I can see both sides, in all honesty. Please, do not take these words harshly, but some cats will have a hard time listening to something they might not want to hear. I understand that your visions may be sporadic and random, but some cats are content to live in the now rather than the future. Meanwhile, there are others who would willingly abuse your power," he meowed gently.

Ursapaw | Tom - Herbalist Trainee - 17 Moons - Tagged: Batpaw of TotemClan

Ursapaw couldn't help but smile as he realized pushing this young cat's buttons was fun. "News flash, it's my first Gathering too. As for learning, I'm not quite sure what kind of Clan you come from with all this chitter chatter of potions. My Clan dabbles in herbs and poultices, nothing more and nothing less. We believe that one of the best remedies for any injury is exercise, and early but gentle exercise can greatly improve the range of motion for a healed injury. How many herbs can you identify?" he asked, lowering himself a bit to get closer to Batpaw's level. Briarypoppy would be chewing his ears to stumps if she were anywhere near, but Cypressmask would be quietly encouraging this little battle of boasting without letting Tombecho or Maplesong know. The two older cats would simply be exhausted and over it, and Ursapaw knew they were both counting down the days to their retirement. It would have to be any moon now for Maplesong, considering the molly could barely get out of her nest on a wet morning for her stiff joints. He was in charge of her daily strengthening herbs, and he knew they would need to increase the dosage soon to keep chasing away the lingering pain in her hips. "Trust me, there's still a lot for you to learn. Take it from an older 'paw, don't bark out a big game until you're actually big enough to back it up," he whispered, eyes flaring. He wanted to see just how far he could take this before he reached the point of pulling back just before a fight. Well, it wouldn't be much a fight with Batpaw, but keeping claws away at a Gathering was simply respectful.

      AVIARYCLAN !!

Zenaida | Molly - Harrier - 29 Moons - Tagged: Eveningbirch of TundraClan

Zenaida smiled warmly as Eveningbirch apologized, reaching out a comforting paw. "It's quite alright. I'll likely go on such a tangent before the night is over," she meowed, pausing to lift her eyes and note that the moon had still barely risen. "I understand having pride in your clanmates. It seems that every moon a new accomplishment comes to light that deserves to be celebrated. I cannot count the number of times we've held parties to celebrate a particularly fruitful moon of hunting or training," she chuckled, remembering the joy that filled the Clan any time they held feasts and parties.

Blue | Tom - Sparrow - 85 Moons - Tagged: Shimmerpelt of CaveClan

"I can totally understand that. My mate and I still continued with our daily duties once our two were born, since neither of us carried them. I guess it's a bit hard to do that when you're both gay toms," he paused to chuckle at his joke. "Regardless, we spent pretty much every spare moment fretting over our kits, so much so that our leader started putting us on less patrols until they were old enough to leave the nursery and cause trouble. At that point, they were at the mercy of the mothers," he sighed, reminiscing about the times fondly. "I can understand how hard the wait is, though. Having to wait for my own kits to be born felt like forever, and I was an absolute wreck when our surrogate was actually having them. Dowitcher, my husband, was barely able to keep me sane. I'm betting it'll be very similar once my daughter," he paused to point Zenaida out with his tail, "announces a pregnancy with that mate of hers. It truly can't be long now, they've recently announced their mateship you see. And you know that the younger the relationship, the more pining and mooning and doe eyes," he purred. "Regardless, you seem like one proud grandmother. Congratulations are in order, of course, and I wish both new families well. Have you helped in other kittings? High stress environments are not my place," he sighed, raising a paw to his forehead as if he had a headache.

    Heron | Non-binary - Avocet - 25 Moons - Ghoul of the Arcats

Heron popped one eye open, taking in the sight of a cat whose pelt seemed to split right down the middle. Slowly, their other eye fluttered open, and their jaw stretched wide in another involuntary yawn. After several more seconds, they dragged themselves up into a sitting position and leaned down to groom some ruffled fur on their chest. "I'm Heron of AviaryClan. Nice to meet you, Ghoul," they meowed, their voice scratchy with the nap they'd just barely fallen into before waking. They reached a paw up to rub their eyes, hoping they didn't have anything in the corners.

      ORDER OF THE HYENA

    Minnow's Mumble | Tom - Scavenger - 31 Moons - Tagged: Bramblingpath of SpruceClan

Minnow's Mumble bit back a laugh as Bramblingpath asked her question. "We are one of six Orders, or groups, that once called our territory home. My group, the Order of the Hyena, is the only one remaining now. A hyena is a predator, dog-like and cat-like at the same time, but they mostly prefer to scavenge over hunting. Each Order follows the spirit of their animal, so mine follows the spirit of a hyena. It mostly means that my Clan only allows mollies to be the leaders, but we are also quite ruthless and unforgiving," he darkened his voice before his face brightened with a chuckle. "SpruceClan sounds like quite a lovely name for a Clan! I only recently joined my Clan, having previously come from NyxClan," he meowed, glad to get his former Clan out into the open so that she might forgive any slip ups he makes.

Meerkat's Burrow | Molly - Mother - 42 Moons - Tagged: Pupdog of Whiskered Away

Meerkat's eyes widened at the comment, but her gaze softened as she recognized the age of the young cat before her. "It's rather rude to say that to a nursing queen," she chided gently before silently scolding herself for reacting as if one of her own kits had made the statement. "Regardless, yes. I am quite big," she chuckled, turning to look at her generally large size. "I'm Meerkat's Burrow of the Order of the Hyena. Who might I have the pleasure of meeting?" she meowed politely. Her eyes began to wander to where Bonobo was deep in conversation with two other young cats, and she felt her heart swell with pride. She'd worried he'd seclude himself, but there he was, already making friends.

Bonobo | Tom - Trainee - 8 Moons - Tagged: Lionpaw of QuickClan & Etoilepaw of SeaClan

"Oh, absolutely wonderful! We don't have any retired cats in my Clan yet, but I can guess they appreciate you greatly right now. And I guess it'd be normal for you, coming from a big Clan. I hope my Clan doesn't ever get that big though," he meowed quietly.

Bonobo couldn't help but laugh a little bit as Etoilepaw stammered and rushed out a response. "Well, I think every cat is a tad lost here, considering there's so many cats from so many Clans here. I think the whole point is to talk to cats not in your Clan. May I ask what SeaClan is, though?" he purred, realizing he'd never even heard of this young molly's Clan.

      CHESSCLAN !!

Faondapple | Molly - Healer - 39 Moons - Tagged: Bramblinglight of SeaClan

Fear and worry jolted through Faondapple's body as it seemed like a dam burst in Bramblinglight. As the molly's body heaved with sobs, the words barely choking out of her mouth, Faondapple turned her body to curl tightly around her friend in an embrace. The words stung of betrayal, the mentioning of formerly trusting someone striking a chord deep in her soul. "Bramblinglight, what happened? Is everyone alright?" she asked, worry raising the pitch of her voice as she tried to gently coax her friend to talk. If Bramblinglight was open to sharing, Faondapple would sit and listen for as long as needed. If she didn't want to, then Faondapple would also understand. She simply knew how freeing it could feel to unload the burdens on one's soul to a friend, so she devoted herself to be there for whatever Bramblinglight needed that night. While betrayal was a little too close to home, she wouldn't let herself express any of the lingering disgust from the last time a trusted cat betrayed ChessClan.

evergreen park & quickclan 4

Postby eagle, » Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:03 am

EVERGREEN PARK
squirrelflash | molly, pathfinder, 61m, tagged:
indentafter dismissing her friends and companions, squirrelflash took her time to circle the clearing, taking in all the various sights and sounds. her green eyes searched the pelts of the various clan cats, and she smiled wistfully at the sight of her son, sprucestone, settling in and claiming a spot of his own. it was good for him, squirrelflash thought, to get out of camp for a litle while. though sprucestone's sister had been upset that she hadn't been invited to join the patrol for the gathering, squirrelflash knew that it was the right choice. while wolfbriar was loud and outspoken, sprucestone needed more time to warm up and make friends. if anything, squirrelflash was hoping that her son would find a friend from outside of evergreen park at the gathering, that he might find a bit more confidence and self-assurance among the crowd.
indentcontent with the knowledge that sprucestone had found a spot to settle for the evening, squirrelflash returned to where the other leaders were coming together, and she took her space among them, flicking her bushy tail in greeting.

salmoncurl | enby, torch-bearer, 61m, tagged: cloudpool
indentsalmoncurl's ears pricked with concern as the other medicine cat mood turned glum. salmoncurl knew, just as well as anyone, the pains of being a healer, of the heartache and guilt that could come. when they thought of stagrunner and cloverfield, salmoncurl felt the guilt of not being able to save them, and sympathized with cloudpool for his pain. "it's hard, doing what we do," salmoncurl said after a beat of silence, unsure if cloudpool even wanted them to speak, but wanting to offer comfort, anyway. "kits are notorious for sneaking out and getting into things, no matter what clan they're from, and that's not your fault that they slipped by you. i'm sure you were busy, and you can't have your eyes and ears in every corner of the camp," they said. their eyes turned towards the stars, where they could imagine that two stars blazed brighter than the rest, looking down on salmoncurl, offering their reassurances. "it's good that the kits are alright, and i think that's what matters most, don't you think?"

sprucestone | tom, pioneer, 17m, tagged:

artemesia | molly, pioneer, 16m, tagged:

verglaspaw | molly, trainee , 8m, tagged: tinypaw
indenttinypaw's eagerness gave verglaspaw the confidence she needed, and she leaned in excitedly to listen as they explained what a totem was. at the mention of twolegs, however, verglaspaw's eyes widened in alarm and she lashed her tail. "twolegs are so weird," she said, thinking back to her own home. "do you see a lot of twolegs where you live?" she asked tinypaw, curious if they were just as much of a nuisance to other clans as they were to evergreen park. "in evergreen park, they do these weird things, like sleeping under pelts and... they start fires," she explained, whispering the last word i a quavering voice that gave away just how frightening to could be. "thankfully, they stay to the same areas and don't seem to notice us most of the time, its more of the dogs that are an issue, but still... who knows why they do the things they do!"

QUICKCLAN
cyanstar | tom, leader, 81m, tagged: shark
indentcyanstar stared out over the clearing, his bright blue eyes searching, as if imagining his old friends among the crowd. he missed them. he missed being a deputy and watching redstar speak with hazestar, the two close friends sharing news. he missed greeting pantherstar and watching her grow to become a strong and respected leader. that was part of the reason he had asked tallpeak to come, as he knew that his old friend wouldn't attend many more gatherings, and the thought shook him to the bone - they were getting old, and soon it would be time for him to consider who would be leading the clan after he had gone. it was a humbling thought, and it was glad when another cat approached him.
indent"hello, it's nice to meet you as well. i'm cyanstar, quickclan's leader," he introdued himself, dipping his head towards the space beside himself. "please, make yourself comfortable. the night is too long to stand the entire time. especially when you've got old bones like me," he said, a lilt of a laugh in his voice. "how is your clan? have you been deputy for a long time?"

lycheewings | tom, medicine cat, 23m, tagged: adderpool
indentas the night breeze stirred lycheewings' long ginger fur, he looked to the stars. he hoped that he father and brothers who had passed on were proud of him. he wanted nothing more than to honor their memory, to be a better healer to save his clanmates. after all, that was lycheewings' biggest reget - that he hadn't been able to save his family from the celestial beings. maybe, if he had been older, wiser, or a better healer, he might have been able to do something. that was why the gatherings appealed to him, so that he could listen to the words of other healers, maybe even learn something along the way.
indentso, when another tom approached him, lycheewings smiled, sweeping his tail over the grass beside himself. "please, make yourself at home," he said. "my name's lycheewings, one of quickclan's medicine cats," he introduced himself. after a moment of a brief, peaceful pause, lycheewings glanced from the crowd of surrounding medicine cats and warriors to adderpool. "i've only ever been to one other gathering. i wish i could say that i wasn't completely out of my element, but i am. it feels good to see all of the clans getting along, but there are so many cats, so many places to look and see, and it's all happening so fast... does that make any sense?"

tallpeak | molly, warrior, 93m, tagged:

ibispool | tom, warrior, 34m, tagged: tidefall
indentit was peaceful, sitting on the edge of the clearing, and ibispool looked up in surprise when a cat called out a greeting. for a moment, he glanced around, wondering who, exactly, the pretty molly was addressing, only for his eyes to widen further when he realized that she was padding over in his direction. he sat up, curling his tail over his paws to give her space to sit down with him. "hi there," he greeted her, thankful that a friendly face had found him, and he managed a warm smile. "it's very nice to meet you, tidefall. my name's ibispool, one of quickclan's warriors. please, there's always room for a friend to sit," he said, meaning it. though he didn't have many close friends back home, ibispool appreciated a nice conversation with such a friendly cat, and tidefall's presence put him at ease, having taken the pressure off from venturing out into the crowded clearing. "i've never been to a gathering before," he admitted after a moment. "i think i should be more used to being around so many cats, since quickclan has so many members, but... i feel like i barely know what to do with myself," he said, smiling wanely. "what was your previous gathering like? maybe you could give me advice on the right way to behave."

coalspire | molly, warrior, 29m, tagged:

hailglance | enby, warrior, 26m, tagged:

lionpaw | tom, apprentice, 8m, tagged: bonobo & etoilepaw
indentin the best-case scenario, lionpaw was hoping that the newcomer might have an adventure that they could help her with. it was clear that she was nervous, and lionpaw did his best to flash an encouraging smile, even more pleased with bonobo offered his help, as well. however, etoilepaw's request, admittedly, confused lionpaw, and he tipped his head to one side. "we could try, but it might be hard. i don't think i've ever met a seaclan cat before, not except for you," he said, blinking thoughtfully. "cyanstar might know a seaclan cat but... i don't think i know where he is, either," he added, craning his neck to try to peer over the taller warriors that surrounded them. even after standing on his hind legs, lionpaw was unsuccessful at locating his clan's leader and sighed. then, struck by an idea, lionpaw brightened once more. "well, what d'you need a seaclan cat for? if you need something, maybe me and bonobo could help you out. the two of us, we're practically the best warriors in our clans... or we will be in a few moons, right?" he asked, looking to bonobo for encouragement. "by the way, my name's lionpaw, and i'm from quickclan, best clan in the world!"

[ AUGUST 2022 GATHERING ☆ 04 ]

Postby notwearingsocks » Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:32 am

☆ totemclan

baldstar; totemspeaker/leader; tom; 57m, tagged: pinefoot of seaclan
"oh, no, no interruption!" baldstar reassured pinefoot hastily, settling down in the sand and tucking his tail close to his body to avoid being stomped on by stray paws. "none of that 'sir' stuff, please, just baldstar is enough," he smiled gently, hoping to reassure this nervous tomcat. "you were just made deputy? you must have spent many moons serving for your clan then?" he was aware of pinefoot's greying face, but would never outright ask him if he'd rather be retired. "totemclan's camp has a cliffside to the west; that's where our nursery, elders, and healers reside. i find it to be the safest part of the camp."

sealfisher; ravencaller/deputy; tom; 47m; tagged: failnaughtfire of tundraclan
sealfisher's eyes grew marginally wider with every additional kit failnaughtfire named. "oh, yes, this is my first," he nodded. "i have two daughters and even they are a pawful - how do you do it with so many!?" the tomcat looked impressed by failnaughtfire's ability to father so many without being overwhelmed. even just with the pair of kits he had now, sealfisher sometimes found himself in over his head.

wizard; healer; tom; 35m; tagged: swanflight of tundraclan
wizard beamed at swanflight's praise; it was not often that another cat thought his bizarre way of living and teaching was cool, so he would take compliments where they were given. "oh, how delightful! i don't believe i've made duke's acquaintance, though if his fashion sense has anything to say, i'm sure we'd be wonderful friends," he purred with a chuff of laughter. "how does tundraclan fare? i hope greenleaf is treating you well?"

batpaw; healer's apprentice; tom; 7m; tagged: ursapaw of the outback runners
batpaw frowned briefly at the knowledge that this was ursapaw's first gathering as well. his paws shuffled beneath him as he collected his thoughts, brow furrowed and ears quivering with annoyance. "i can identify plenty, thank you!" he retorted with a huff. "and wizard believes in modern medicine. how many of your herbs can keep a cat's tummy warm for days, hmm?" batpaw pressed, undeterred by the evident dislike that ursapaw harbored for his way of learning. no matter - wizard knew how spectacular potions were and that was all that batpaw needed to know to be confident in the craft. "an' i'm not barking at anyone, either," he concluded, eyeballing ursapaw's increasingly more prickly behavior. "an' if you were an honorable healer, you wouldn't be antagonizing me, either!" his cheeks were red with indignation but his words were steady and unwavering.

chiaseed; warrior; molly; 41m; tagged: nectarinesplash of the celestial beings
chiaseed listened to nectarinesplash's tale with interest, her ears perked towards the hairless molly and her eyes perpetually on the other's. "oh, my," chiaseed murmured after the story had concluded, eyes wide. "that does sound terrible; i understand why many cats would be eager to leave." her fur felt like it was tingling where nectarinesplash was touching her. "and you? how did you find your clan?" she pictured her own long journey to finding totemclan, with the head-high piles of snow that made the journey all the more difficult.

scrapbeak; warrior; molly; 23m; tagged: pebblepaw of spruceclan
scrapbeak blinked at the eight-and-a-half-moon apprentice before her, looking as if she'd just been bonked in the head with a rock or something equally heavy and undesirable. she had not expected so many questions to barrage out of pebblepaw's mouth. "slow your roll, kid," she placated the multitude of questions, giving herself a moment to actually process the words. "i'm scrapbeak, from totemclan, and i've never... measured myself? and i'm taller than you, sure, but i'm not that tall. you should see some of the other cats... like there - " she pointed with her nose at a particularly lanky oriental who padded by who towered over herself. "and the weather's the same. don't believe that old myth," she chuckled, eyeballing this molly who - despite scrapbeak's better wishes - was honestly quite endearing. "you wanna be friends with me? don't you want to, i don't know, talk to the apprentices or something?"

tinypaw; apprentice; demiboy (he/they); 8m; tagged: verglaspaw of evergreen park
"twolegs are weird," tinypaw agreed, nodding vigorously. "fires? dogs!?" the last word came out as more of a squeak, and their eyes widened with the thought of living so close to canines. "they'd eat me right up! i wouldn't be fast enough to outrun them" he wiggled a small leg solemnly. "but i can climb like nobodies' business!" they looked reassured at the idea they'd be able to climb away from the vicious creatures, but they definitely didn't want to ever come nose to nose with a pack of dogs.

paintpaw; apprentice; nonbinary (they/them); 7m; tagged: laurelpaw of caveclan
paintpaw looked joyous that laurelpaw didn't have to worry about freezing over. "oh, totemclan is cold!" their fur puffed in indignation at the thought of the inevitable snow that would pile up around leafbare. "when it's not snowing, it's raining. i can count on one paw the number of times i've seen the sun since i joined totemclan," they sighed wistfully at the idea of a warm beachside, someplace where it wouldn't get cold ever. "were you born in caveclan then? how long have you been an apprentice?" they had not been born into totemclan, but had been with the clan since they were young so it felt like home nonetheless.

Whiskered Away ✰ Gathering #035 ✰ August #2

───────────────────────────────────────

Northstar | leader | female | tags: open
Recently the clan discovered a thief amongst them, but they managed to escape. North is now suspicious of everyone.

Shark | deputy | male | tags: Cyanstar of Quickclan (eagle,)
Shark smiled and happily sat next to Cyanstar, thanking him for the invitation. It felt amazing to be respected and treated as an equal. However, he did tense up a little bit at the tom’s last question and it took him a moment to respond. “No”, he said quietly. “Only a couple of moons. But the clan has been doing great”, he cheered up a bit. “Better than ever I would say. Everyone is happy. The pages are growing, lots of muses born healthy. It’s great.”

Vie | apprentice | female | tags: open
She’s not interested in common cats and their boring lives. She’s looking for a spark of magic.

Redstep | elder | male | tags: open
The older tom slowly walks around the gathering grounds, searching for a companion to a conversation.

Tealeaf | warrior | female | tags: Sharkfang of Seaclan (winter solstice.)
Tealeaf still looked anxious, but it was apparent that Sharkfang’s kind words made her feel a little better. At least she knew it was okay to talk to him and she shouldn’t try to escape this place just yet. “Tealeaf”, she said in a quiet voice. “I’m a knight of Whiskered Away. Um… This is my first time at a gathering.” Her gaze darted from Shark’s face to the ground and back, her ears lay flat on her head.

Pupdog | warrior | female | tags: Meerkat's Burrow of Order of the Hyena (chaotic creativity)
Pup didn’t look at all embarrassed about her comment. “Sorry!”, she said and chuckled. “I didn’t mean it in a bad way. It’s amazing! A maid at my clan didn’t have a belly as big and she gave birth to four kittens! You might give birth even to… six!” Pup was pacing around Meerkat’s Burrow excitedly, looking at her from all sides. “You must be so happy.”

Caveclan - August - 04

Postby tauriel. » Sun Aug 07, 2022 5:53 am

Morningstar is tagged with Hollystar (Tundraclan)

“That was probably our medicine cat, Cloudpool, who Wisteriaflight talked to.” Morningstar said, glancing down into the crowd to spot the gray and white medicine cat. On closer examination, did Cloudpool seem upset? From here, Morningstar couldn’t quite tell, so he made a mental note to check on Cloudpool as they clan went home from the gathering. Returning his attention to Hollystar, the ginger tabby nodded. “We do. Our home is made from a cave under a river.” He said. “I imagine that Tundraclan lives on a tundra? That must be cold.”

Woolyfur is tagged with Cricketpounce (Spruceclan)

Woolyfur twitched his ear towards the tom, watching Morningstar for another moment before turning towards the tortoiseshell tom. Morningstar seemed fine for now, relaxing as he talked to one of the other clan leaders. It seemed unlikely that the aging leader would be moving around any time soon so Woolyfur felt okay with focusing on his own conversation. “It’s lovely tonight,” He agreed, nodding. “I love gatherings like tonight where it is never too cold or too hot.” Woolyfur studied him, noting that the cat’s scent was unfamiliar although he seemed similar to Woolyfur’s own age. He was likely a deputy though since he’d settled with all the other deputies. With a respectful nod, the ginger deputy introduced himself, “I’m Woolyfur, Caveclan’s deputy. It’s nice to meet you.”

Cloudpool is tagged with Salmoncurl (Evergreen Park)

Cloudpool listened quietly, glancing up at the older healer once in a while. Salmoncurl seemed genuinely concerned for him and really did want to help. Looking into their eyes, Cloudpool could tell that they understood what he felt, perhaps better than he’d first realized. Cloudpool sighed again, breaking eye contact. What they were saying was true, kits were certainly masters of getting into trouble and he had been busy. That morning, he’d been busy checking over Alderpaw and Larkfeather’s recent injuries so he really hadn’t had time to keep an eye on the kits. Still though, Echokit and Moonkit were his own kits and Cloudpool felt as if he had a bigger responsibility over the pair. “Well, yes, the kits are fine…” Cloudpool hesitated, glancing at Morningstar on the leader’s rock. “Morningstar got hurt saving them though.” Although Salmoncurl was a fellow medicine cat, Cloudpool reminded himself that they were from a different clan and not to reveal too much. “He lost a life.” Cloudpool kept his voice low and quiet, careful to ensure they weren’t being overheard. His fur pricked slightly, aware that this wasn’t the entire truth, that Morningstar had actually lost two and only had 3 left. Of the entire clan, only Cloudpool and Morningstar himself knew how close the leader was to permanently joining Starclan. Woolyfur seemed to suspect but Cloudpool knew the deputy wouldn’t say anything to the clan.

Rowanfur is tagged with open

Shimmerpelt is tagged with Blue (Aviaryclan)

Shimmerpelt twitched her tail-tip thoughtfully. “It sounds like you two did exactly what you needed to do as fathers.” She assured him. Her eyes glimmered with amusement and she gave a soft purr of agreement. “Oh indeed. You’ll be a grandparent before you know it. I don’t know how Juniperfoot and Harespring waited so long to have kits, but almost as soon as Sedgetail and Burrwhisker announced they were mates, they were announcing that she was pregnant.” The silver tabby dipped her head in acknowledgment of Blue’s congratulations. “Thank you. We appreciate it!” She purred. “I don’t usually help out with kittings, but I felt I should be with Sedgetail and Juniperfoot. Cloudpool’s our only medicine cat now and he’s seemed rather overwhelmed so I was happy to help. We have one more expecting queen, so if he wants help, I certainly won’t say no. Helping out in the nursery has always been quite fun either way.” Shimmerpelt explained. “Before now, I’ve enjoyed playing with the kits so their mothers could take time for themselves but now that I see how much help the queens may need, I’d love to help out more often. So many kits can be a pawful. 10 kits and only 3 mothers, not including Owlheart and her unborn litter, they’ll likely need help.”

Harespring is tagged with open

Ashstrike is tagged with open

Laurelpaw is tagged with Paintpaw

Laurelpaw’s blue eyes widened with shock. “Really!?” She asked, unable to imagine that much snow or rain. “That sounds so sad! How can you ever sun bathe!?” The Caveclan cats, Laurelpaw included, were very fond of lounging around on the warm sun-baked rocks just outside the camp. She shook her head, feeling sorry for Paintpaw who wouldn’t be able to enjoy the warmth of the sun on their fur, especially after the cold of leaf-bare. Laurelpaw nodded at their question, her eyes brightening at being able to talk about her family. “Yes! I’m one of four kits. Lilystem and Chiveclaw are our parents and my siblings are Alderpaw, Splashpaw, and Toadpaw. This’ll be our second moon of being apprentices.” She told Paintpaw proudly. “Do you see that dark gray, almost blue warrior over there?” She asked, nodding towards Harespring. “He’s my mentor.” Laurelpaw explained proudly. “He’s a really important warrior in our clan. I’m his second apprentice. Most of the other apprentices have mentors who haven’t had apprentices before except for me, Robinpaw, and Wrenpaw.” Laurelpaw looked back at Paintpaw curiously. “What about you? Oh and would you mind if I asked about all the color you have on you? It’s so pretty!” Laurelpaw said, motioning to the splashes of paint on Paintpaw’s fur.

Wildpaw is tagged with Steelpaw (Seaclan)

“A rogue?” Wildpaw laughed at the idea of a rogue walking among the clan cats. “They wouldn’t dare mess with us!” The black and white tom hadn’t yet been trained to fight, a fact that didn’t deter his enthusiasm at all. “We’d shred them!” Dropping into a crouch, Wildpaw attempted to recreate a battle move he’d seen Spottedwish and Mintwhisker use in training. The end results were… questionable.. but Wildpaw did not let this bother him either. “Well, at least my clan would.” He admitted after a moment. “Ashstrike and Harespring would probably make Laurelpaw and I stay away from the fighting.” Wildpaw peered up at the leaders, catching sight of first Carrotstar and then his own leader. “Me too! The other apprentices were a bit jealous, Laurelpaw and I were chosen to come! Morningstar’s a ginger tabby too, he’s over there.” Wildpaw said, nodding at him. “This is my second moon as an apprentice. Has your mentor taught you much yet?”

WITHERED FANG PEAK

Medidae | Molly [@celestrialtail of tundraclan]
Walking close to Imbe, the Premolar Trainee wasn't really that excited for the gathering. Yes, their training was doing better but it had been so..so rocky, at the start. They had felt severely discouraged and honestly didn't feel like the right cat for the job. Imbe's tail flicked across her shoulder, and as Medidae watched her walk away, she sat. Opening her jaws in a large yawn, she curled her tail over her paws.

Pricking her ears alertly, she looked to the cat beside her who wanted to..talk? Okay. She could do that. They nodded towards the tom, tail flicking back and forth across her forepaws curiously. "Medidae, Premolar Trainee of Withered Fang Peak." she huffed. SHe had heard of the weird groups that ended with -clan. She never had any details, though, really. "Premolars are healers," she quickly added, realizing the term wouldn't be familiar to the healer- at least she didn't think so.

"How's uh..Tundra..clan? doing?" she asked, tentatively, not sure how to shove Tundra-clan together into one word like the other had. Her head tipped to the side, curious as she looked a few hairs upwards towards him. "And please, sit down." Her voice was calm and formal, however, it was clear the other was more nervous then she tried to show.

Ursapaw watched Batpaw spit and chatter, his mind linking the young tom to an angry bird trying to protect her eggs. His face softened a bit, but he pulled himself to his full height and stifled a laugh. "Why would your Clan need a potion to keep a clanmate's belly warm for days when there's an abundance of prey? The Outback Runners never go hungry, so there's simply no need to keep too heavy of a stock of our traveling and strengthening herbs. As for this modern medicine business, I doubt it's all that special. The way of herbs and poultices has existed for generations, and I don't see any cat complaining. I'm not one to shoot down amazing new ideas, but why mess with what's working?" he meowed, reaching up and brushing a stray leaf off of his chest. TotemClan sure seemed to be a strange Clan, what with a cat named Wizard who made potions. It was almost comical, but Ursapaw decided that was probably a step too far. "I'm guessing you were guided by your ancestors towards healing, huh? Have you even seen your predecessors in front of you? In the Outback Runners, we pride ourselves with constant communication with the spirits," he meowed. He was reminded of the first time a spirit visited him, and he was also reminded of how scared he'd been before he'd confided in Cypressmask.

Blue nodded as Shimmerpelt spoke of how much help mothers needed. "They remain stubborn for those first two or so moons, when their little ones need them for everything, but they are so grateful for a break once the kits are old enough to wander around and get into trouble. I'm quite sure Dowitcher is going to spend much of his retirement helping out in the nursery," he chuckled fondly, thinking of the tom he'd followed from his first Clan and devoted his life to loving. With a deep sigh, Blue slowly began stretching a few of his sorer limbs again. "I'm old enough that I can feel the weather in my bones, and it seems like they always feel like it's about to rain. I'm probably not the right cat to predict the weather," he chuckled.

Meerkat's Burrow's face heated with embarrassment as she danced around how exactly to tell Pupdog she was mistaken. "Well, erm, I've actually already had my kits. I have two lively little ones, Eagle and Mosquito, who are already as big as kits twice their age," she chuckled, remembering how shocked she'd been when she'd realized just how big her two kits were. They were back at the camp, under the careful care of Aardvark's Dig, but Meerkat's Burrow had no worries that they were running in circles with the other four current pups. "They're simply a pawful, which is why I decided to come to this Gathering," she sighed.

Bonobo | Tom - Trainee - 8 Moons - Tagged: Lionpaw of QuickClan & Etoilepaw of SeaClan

As Lionpaw offered help, and then referred to them both as the best future warriors, Bonobo puffed out his chest with a good bit of pride. "Exactly! In just a few moons, we'll be who the elders tell stories about," he grinned, flashing a smile. He could hear the confusion in Lionpaw's voice, and he began to wonder just why Etoilepaw wanted to find a SeaClan warrior in the first place. The whole point of Gatherings was to meet new cats from new Clans, right? Maybe she was just shy or worried, and Bonobo's heart softened a little towards her.
