Learned about the word halcyon from a song by The Paper Kites (very good song, highly recommended), it means "denoting a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful."
In folklore its also a king fisher believed to nest in the middle of the ocean during winter to keep oceans calm.

Im obsessed with birds, and at the time that i chose it was in a place in life where i just really wanted to go back to my childhood/was obsessed with nostalgia. Addition of creature is just a mix between the actual halcyon bird and also because i am simply a little creacher

With my previous username, people would always pronounce it wrong and that always bugged me a bit. So i thought "what would be a memorable/recognizable, easy to pronounce and easy to spell name??" and the first thing that came to my mind was "dirt". And ever since then, I've gone by some variant of Dirt on basically every single platform.

Ryex is short for Rye which comes from Rydiexdraws

why do I explain that? Because Rye is just short for Rydie which Rydie is from Ryder! Who was my heart dog I would call him ryadie which if said fast enough 'Rye or/a die' in short ride or die as that's what he was
