Eeeeew, and some witches don't use black cats XD Some versions use whatever animal fits them as a familiar~! I like the current versions of witches out there we don't need pink flower bloomers!
Because somehow witches in pink that do nothing but make flowers and cute things sounds sexiest. Witches are suppose to be powerful! What would they do to warlocks(male witches)?

Witches? Um, those are part of a religion... are we talking about fantasy witches or real witches?

"No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool."

Feel free to add me to that list, because I just don't find anything overly appealing about Twilight.
Look, I love vampires; they are one of my favorite monsters of folklore, and I did TRY to give Twilight a chance. I read the first book, watched the movie even...and I just couldn't stand to go any further than that.
Regardless of how the author portrays vampires (yes, her take on them is unique)...her writing is repulsive! The characters are dry, completely predictable, and without depth. This series belongs on the shelves of dime a dozen Harlequin romance books with how blooming ridicioulous it is.
Twilight is a fad...and a bad one at that. There were a lot of people that were negative against the Harry Potter series, but at least in that; the author made her characters believable and REAL, with realistic strengths and weaknesses.

deathangel32 - I was talking about fantasy witches xD
Crimson I hope it is a fad. If it is then it will eventually go away. I hate her vampires, her writing, everything. I actually am a harry potter book fan. I hate the movies more then I can say but I love the books. While I never got to the last book yet cus I can't get a copy to read.. Harry Potter has plot, death, a large array of personalities, surprises that all seem to click with little hints left to you while reading.. those books may not be made for just adults to read but Harry Potter is a good piece of literature. It has very good writing and I can see why it became popular.
Twilight doesn't deserve to be popular. It just sucks. What it deserves is to be one of those cheap books at the true dollar stores where everything is a dollar or less.. because that should be as much as anyone's willing to buy it. It is a disgrace to literature. I don't see how it ended up in the spotlight in the first place.
