to be fair to both Sand and Pearl, on one side, Sand seems like a really sensitive cat with a happy-go-lucky personality,
and pearl is very much an under-socialized kitty whose go-to for tough situations is the harshest blunt truth. I blame Ol' Ginger for that.

✿ physical description ⇢
perchpaw is a fluffy, slightly chubby young cat with large blue eyes. she has pale cream fur, with a warm point pattern over her tail, paws, face and ears. her fur is slightly darker on her back, fading into the lightest cream around her chest and belly. she has a furry ruff around her cheeks, and a long, fluffy tail which helps her balance well. she is a little tall for her age, and has long legs beneath her fur, making her skilled at jumping and pouncing. she has relatively short whiskers, a round face with curved ears, and a small black nose.

perchpaw is a friendly, cheerful apprentice, whose always up for shenanigans, a game or even actually doing something useful for once, as long as she's doing something! she hates being bored, but is relatively good at entertaining herself - she likes to collect cool shaped rocks, feathers and leaves - and also enjoys playing with stray grasses and the like, even if it makes her seem like a kit. she's usually pretty talkative, especially when she's interested in something, but has moments of nervousness where she prefers to be quiet. additionally, perchpaw is usually pretty impatient when she's waiting for something, and tends to be distracted easily. she has a pretty sharp tongue when provoked, and also an unfortunately hot temper. however, she's passionately loyal to her friends, and will usually stand up for them no matter what! she loves making new friends, although she has an impulsive streak that sometimes leads her to accidentally offend others before they've even properly met. she's also very competitive and this often motivates her to work really hard when she wants to beat someone - though she does her best to be a determined apprentice no matter what.

✿ backstory ⇢
born to tansycall and cloudfern, perchpaw had a pretty average kithood in sorrelclan. although her mother, tansycall, struggled initially to spend time with her, due to having had a difficult kitting, she was happy with a foster mother to nurse from. her father, cloudfern, was devoted to her, and she spent a lot of time with him as well as just exploring the camp and even starting her collections already! by three moons, she'd managed to peer into every den in the camp, and had heard most of the elder's stories already. nothing particularly eventful has happened in her life yet, besides maybe her apprenticeship, and she's mostly happy with it staying that way - though she can't wait to be a fully trained hunter, as far away as that may seem!
