The trio don't have anything to donate this time around, but they did find that note on their last adventure. Stuck to a wooden sign with rusty nails, almost illegible. JP said to bring it to the museum curator and we wonder - what does it say ?

It takes a bit of work for the curator to clean up the letter to be legible. It must be old. So covered in dirt and grime and soaked through as it is. But under the heat of the hatching lamps in the backroom, the note seems to come to life.

CITY OFFICERS SAY THE LAKE IS A NO GO ZONE. WALLS 2 HIGH. THEY ARE LYING!! GAP IN FENSE UP A HEAD. SHORE SAFE TO EXPLORE. NEED AIR BREATHIN MASHEEN TO EXPLORE PROPER N DEEPER. CHECK FARMHOUSES?? THEY GOT BROKEN ONES. MAYBE CURATOR CAN FIX EM UP.

The curator squints at the letter, a worried look in his brow, before he pushes it aside and smiles at the trio. "Now just between you n me, you best not tell anyone but fellow adventurers like yourselves about this here letter. Our friend ain't well liked among the City Officials, ya know? I wouldn't go lookin' for no gap in the fence, either. Not until you find these breathin' machines he's talkin' about, anyways. Now go on. And remember what I said. Hush hush."
