Suggestion: Pings avaliable on CS? 400+ SUPPORT!

support! it would be nice to have, that way i never miss a response from someone. it’d also be nice to have the option to disable pings for those who don’t want it. i’m surprised that this already isn’t a feature!

YES, huuuuge support, this would be especially useful for oekaki stuff (closed species, otas, character raffles, etc.)

huge support! i think pings/quotes (where the user in question actually gets a notification) are essential to any forum-based site. this would be helpful for any sort of art forums & trading (in the case where sending a message via suggestion over and over could be a hassle). i also tend to like public conversations more than PMs, but it's hard to keep a public one going when you don't get a notification & need to check through dozens (or hundreds!) of threads to make sure you aren't missing a reply.

This would honestly be so helpful. As someone who spends time in the Closed Species section of CS, I'd like to know if I've won something from there without having to browse for ages in the posts with the word "coffee.berry" in them!

Plus, this would be so cool because quotes can sometimes be really big and you have to write "-snip-" on them, and instead of that, you can just ping! ^^

I'd like to add that if someone is not supporting because they don't want to be pinged, CS would most likely add an option to "disable" pings - Mythic also wrote that as a Counter Argument on the main post :]

I definitely support this. The idea of an option to disable it is fantastic and maybe not using the username, but the user ID would be more useful, since many people change their usernames a lot. I've seen this on many other sites and honestly, it's a nice quality of life feature. And it most likely won't hurt anyone or annoy anyone too much. If ya don't want it, you can just not use it (just like me with the bookmark feature... I always kinda forget it... but that's just me personally~ Ehe~). If it is too hard to code into the existing code of chickensmoothie, I could kind of understand declining it. But I'd like it very much.

Full support!! I’m involved in a few closed species, so a pinging option would be insanely useful for adopters and artists alike! And while I’m not involved in the rp part of CS, I can see it being extremely convenient for roleplayers when letting rp partner(s) know when their reply is posted!
