This is the starcomfy breeding and customs thread! Here you can use your breeding bean or clouds to make all new starcomfies!
If you're looking to breed two staries, know that it may take a while for eggs to hatch!

And if you are looking to wish for a custom starcomfy, know that your wish may take a while to be granted, or you may even need to edit your wish a little!

There are examples on how a breeding log and a breeding form should look.

Starcomfies can produce up to three maximum eggs in their lifetime. Only male and female starcomfies can breed so far, but if you help with researching, same sex couples can produce eggs! A baby starcomfy is called a starlet.

A clutch size can be 1-3 eggs. If its three eggs, the starcomfies involved can no longer breed.
Starcomfies can have multiple partners, but if one starcomfy has already had three eggs it can not make more with another partner.

If you roll less than three clutch size and want to breed your starcomfy to a new partner, thats ok!

Because there is a strict limit on how many eggs a starcomfy can produce, it's important that their breeding history is kept and you're honest about it. If you trade that starcomfy, you have to have their breeding log given to the new owner (how many times they've bred, how many eggs have occurred, who they bred to, etc). It is your responsibility to keep track of! I recommend keeping it in your archive, a toyhou.se, or a character storage.

If I find out you lied about how many eggs they've had, any eggs past their third are considered void and you get a strike.

1. You have to wait a week after obtaining a starcomfy to breed it.

This is so people don't just get staries to breed them immediately.
2. Staries have a month cooldown, in which they cannot breed again.

This is so they aren't bred too quickly, and to give artists a break.
3. Dates are very important! Keep track and be honest about them.

They will be checked! It has to be at least 30 days after breeding to re-breed a stary.
4. Breeding log / breeding form may change, please update your breeding log to match it if it does. If breeding forms change, no need to edit the previous one(s).

This is just in case I don't like how it looks or if it feels like too much.
5. Staries can not breed with their littermates, or parents / children.

This one should be obvious! No inbreeding allowed.
6. You can use someone else's comfy in a breeding.

So long as they agree and you can also agree on who gets the egg(s)! Permission proof needed.

Legend has it, if you wish upon a star hard enough and imagine super hard, a new starcomfy will be born, just for you! Those are just legends, though, of course..

In order to obtain a custom starcomfy, you will need either: a custom cloud, a rain cloud, or a lightning cloud.
A custom cloud will get you a stary with no line edits. A rain cloud will get you a stary with minor line edits, such as a longer tail or claws! A lightning cloud will get you a stary with major line edits, such as a different kind of tail, or different ears!

There are also limits! Rain clouds can only edit so much. If you want many minor line edits, then a lightning cloud will be what you're wanting instead. And of course, you can only do one major edit with a lightning cloud.

(there will be examples of limitations soon!)

1. Your custom can not be based off of any already existing media character.

I want staries to be actual characters you use, not just forum pets to look at. They gotta be original!
2. If you want to transfer an existing character you own into the species...

That's fine! You just can't use them as they used to be (meaning if they were a dog, they can no longer be 'officially a dog', as they are now a starcomfy! (this may change...iffy on this rule)
3. After you use your cloud, it's gone!

If you want to have another custom, then you gotta buy another cloud!
4. If someone is blacklisted, their customs are no longer starcomfies.

They can, however, be transferred out of the species into anything that user would like.
5. All starcomfies must be designs that are able to be redrawn.

This goes for all staries, customs, breedings, raffles or fcfs. I am very strict on this rule. They can be complicated, as long as its feasible to replicate. They also have to make some sense. Think of it like this: if you had to make it 3d, would it look good? Is it believable to be a real animal? Real animals don't have flame PNGs on their coats.
