From the box where you get the hour-long cool down tokens, sometimes instead of a token you get a pet!
P.s. don’t fret if you can’t get them right away, they will probably end up uncommon at best and you will probably end up with way too many of them by the end of the event (:

they're from Nick's box at the IT office here (bottom left of the 'inside cs' map), you have a chance to get one of them (or the robot bird) instead of a token

I've been token collecting non-stop this event, and I've reached the point where I now have the
"You've now reached the limit of the number of prizes you can find : )."

This is the first time I've had the spare time to collect so much. Will the banner count be raised every day? Will coming back after rollover mean I can collect again? Or will I have no more tokens to collect unless they announce the token cap has been raised?

The banner cap is usually raised once or twice during the event, so far it hasn't been raised yet since only a few people have reached the cap (seems to be about 200 currently). It usually gets to around 300 as I recall from past events.
