I will tell you whats happening. The horse is watching her stallion get capture by a human. Her mind makes the day dark and gloomly.
But with the grass, mane and her body shimmering. If you look in her eye you can see a faint picture of what she sees(only cloud like)

but i must Say that The eye Is up A little To high On the face and its a bit to large. Other then that its great
