o taught the two boys to always be kind to themse
lves and strangers alike. while distant from his bro
ther, their seven-year gap making it hard for them
to ever really bond, jullian is especially close with
his grandmother and is unashamed to call her his b
est friend ─ a bit of a mommas boy, he's the type t
o call her on the regular, if only just to hear her vo
ice. he talks to her about anything and everything,
so it's fair to say that his decision to move to the s
tates alone at age eighteen wasn't an easy one.

jullian had fallen in love with dancing at age 8, all
but begging his grandmother to enroll him in class
es after seeing a couple of dance performances on
television ─ he found the way that those dancers
were able to move their body mesmerizing, and w
ith childlike wonder, hoped he could one day do th
e same. at first, the boy really struggled to find hi
s footing in the dance world; alongside being the s
lowest to learn the routines, jullian couldn't seem
to find the right style for him, bouncing between
ballet, hip hop, and contemporary classes in hop
es of figuring out which worked best for him. it
was when he was in high school that he finally s
ettled on contemporary and begin to thrive, win
ning multiple competitions and earning somewh
at of a name for himself in the community.

it was after graduating that he realized the poten
tial that the states offered in terms of dance posi
tions/careers and he decided to move. he worked
as a professional dancer for two years before find
ing new hope and deciding to dedicate his time
to helping the kids instead.
