-- Shimmerpond is flustered by the arrival of Lumincry in the healer's burrow, freezing for one small moment before gathering all the needed herbs in a flurry of movement and dashing to his littermate's side. The young healer could feel his anxiety taking hold as he took in the extent of Lumincry's injuries, aware his sister would forever hold a bitterness in her heart if she were unable to continue her sworn duties as a warrior. Snowpetal is there in an instant to guide Shimmerpond with quiet words, and once the den finally settles and Lumincry's whimpers fade into steady breaths, the younger healer curls his tail gently over the molly's shoulder in sympathy having noticed how Snowpetal had seemed lost for a moment as she realised she no longer has Lilybloom to turn to.
-- Nutcreek once more designates himself the role of comforting friend during Snowpetal's grief, as he has done many times in the past, and a part of him wonders if perhaps there will ever come a moment where he will be able to be more for the healer. He knows if Lilybloom was still around she would have huffed in exasperation, commenting about how long it's taking him. He hopes time will be forgiving.
-- an unlikely friendship begins to blossom as Bramblesky mentions to Aspenrush that young Cinderpaw has sadly found himself in the exact same position as they are in following the avalanche; each of them having lost the entirety of their family. Aspenrush feels her heart ache in sympathy for the young tom, not quite sure how she herself could have handled such difficulty at his age, the younger having even lost his mentor. The molly spends most of the following days by Cinderpaw's side, the two growing ever closer as they share whispered memories of the family they've lost and provide each other with a much needed comfort.
-- having been resigned to rest in the makeshift healer's burrow, Lumincry's grumbling about her new situation is quietened by the sudden arrival of Pinefeather as the older hunter plops into a hastily made nest beside her own, favoring one of his paws. The tom merely shrugs at his injury and shares a sympathetic smile with the younger warrior, though both their attention is stolen by the arrival of a flustered Snowpetal. The healer herds four young to-bes into their own nests with an exasperated huff, commenting about how unbelievable it is how many have already injured themselves. The group merely share a smile and begin to laugh quietly.
-- Eaglefall continues to visit Lumincry in the healers burrow, trying his best to find more comfortable nest materials amongst the undergrowth they're not used to living in, much to the amusement of the molly. He does his best to comfort Lumincry as she grapples with her new lifelong ailment, hoping she's aware he will be by her side no matter what happens.
-- Magpiecloud can barely contain his excitement over becoming a father once more as the time draws nearer, it feels odd to find something to celebrate after all the clan has gone through the last few days, though no one seems to fault the tom for finding happiness. Magpiecloud feels the guilt seep in after awhile, though he knows Heatherfang would share his excitement over the birth of her new siblings if she were still among them. Summerbreeze feels her tired body finally relaxing at the sight of her mate smiling, relieved to see a glimpse of the tom she loves returning to her after all the loss he had endured.
-- as the long days go by with little change, those within the clan still holding onto the hope of locating still-missing family members & friends slowly begin to lose their faith. Eventually there are no more echoes of names called hopelessly into the cold wind around the mountain as the remaining cats come to accept that the missing will be lost forever.
-- the remaining clan gather at the end of the moon at the edge of the dense forest, watching the most blazing sunset they’ve ever witnessed set behind the mountains that now resembles nothing of their former home. During the beautiful sunset they collectively murmur their goodbyes to the lost members as the stars appear one by one, glinting brightly as a cluster of new stars take their place in the vast night sky. Even the nursery kits remain still & unusually quiet as they seem to realise what they’ve managed to survive so young.
-- Halfmoon at the forefront finds a small star resting right above her, and as it glows brighter the moment she looks towards it she feels as if she locked eyes with Larksong again all those many moons ago. Rainshine & Lilydapple step forward to stand beside their mother, huddling close to provide the much needed warmth before their own gazes lift to the sky above, a whispered goodbye slipping past Lilydapple's lips.
-- Birdpelt continues to ice out Willowface who seeks her comfort & warmth in light of all their losses, unaware the reason is due to Birdpelt’s newfound fear. Angered by Birdpelt abandoning her side when she needed her most as she was left to grapple with the loss of her parents and two of her siblings, Willowface can't help but to feel jealous Birdpelt still has her parents to find comfort in. Though the moment the thought comes to her mind, the older molly shakes it away instantly, the feeling of guilt gripping her just as tightly as her grief as she remembers that the younger had already suffered more than enough loss in losing each of her littermates moons prior.
-- Stoneburr & Foxtrot come to terms with being the last remaining elders, and the last of the original Moonclan members. They search the innumerable number of recognisable stars above for their kits.

‣ with Doelily's adamance, the strange family who had saved her within the caves find a place for themselves amongst the clan-cats. Despite being grief torn & weary, the surviving moonclan cats make sure to thank the family for their help during the devastating avalanche, knowing they have them to thank for some of the surviving members.
‣ having lead the terrified bundle of apprentices down the mountain, calmed them enough to search for their lost clan, and then safely deposited them back with their remaining families, Astapond & Skyripple were practically dragged into joining the clan by the thankful parents. Astapond seems relieved no one has any adverse reactions to her extra limbs.
‣ one of the search patrols desperate to find any of their missing clanmates happens upon another small cave unearthed by the avalanche. Whilst having hoped to find missing friends & family, they instead locate a terrified Coalpaw, and take pity on the young apprentice before deciding to lead the tom down the mountain. By the time the patrol navigates down into the undergrowth, three new adults have joined the search party along the way, lost in the same way Coalpaw had been; Puzzlecreek, Silverhue & Pebbledash also graciously accept the offer to stay.
‣ the appearance of Quietlake brings a much needed calm energy to the shaken clan as the mysterious tom stumbles into a small party in the undergrowth of the dense forest. Upon being lead to the makeshift camp filled with the stench of grief, Quietlake settles in amongst those keeping to themselves and offers a stranger's company as comfort.
‣ another search party sent to search the mountainside returns with a stranger in tow, Sunsetembers having been found in a dazed confusion after falling into a small crevice. Despite not having been whom the patrol were desperately searching for, the group take pity on the lonely tom and accept him into their makeshift camp, Sunsetembers is just happy to be among clan-cats again.
‣ the final surprise of the moon comes in the sudden appearance of Rowancloud as the tom's voice calls out frantically for his mate, the appearance of the changed mountainside enveloping him in panic. Florabite is quick to follow her mate's voice and all but charges into the relieved tom's embrace, their two kits rushing to greet their father in excitement. His apprehension in being accepted into the clan is dashed in seconds as Halfmoon merely glances over him with a small nod, eyes still glazed in grief.

Canarycall is a little sheepish at the amused eyeroll from Iridescentcall, sharing he had in fact thought the two to be mates for so long he had simply forgotten to actually... ask.

WEATHER !!

NEWLEAF || The sun begins to peek through the leaves as the dark and heavy clouds of Leafbare roll away. Birds begin to trill earlier in the morning, and the hibernating rodents stir from their slumber as they seek out meals to fill their aching bellies. Prey will be easier to catch, and kittings will grow easier on mothers. Cats are less desperate for homes and will be friendlier to patrols. However, with warmer weather comes more danger. Predators are no longer hungry and vicious, but they have full bellies and growing muscle. They lay unseen, waiting to attack. Twolegs sightings grow more common as well, though cats do not know why the strange creatures seem to prefer warmer weather.

• Yumapaw staggers through the territory, barely able to stand with wounds that threatened to reopen with each step. After what seemed like hours, but in all reality was just a few moments, she spies the prey she wishes to catch. As she crouches, her wounds begin to reopen. She fights past the pain, but she misses her prey. After many more hours of this, finding prey yet failing to catch it, Yumapaw collapses as she sweats. Fever consumes her entire body, and it is a miracle that Baldstar's patrol finds the young cat. After a strong scolding from Fignewt, he tells her that she will need x1 borage, x1 honey, and x2 additional moons of rest (meaning 4 starting next post).

The arrival of Ziziastep was very similar to that of Ronquillleap. The bones were cast and read, and the stars spoke in favor of her joining the little group. Ronquilleap was ecstatic of course, having another warrior around would help lighten his load a little, especially since at the moment he was training an apprentice on top of patrolling the borders and helping Amsoniastar feed the clan. And after last moon's barrenness, they needed another set of paws.

The tortoiseshell molly was quiet, as a rule, seeming to prefer the world inside her head to the world under her paws, but she was a diligent worker who never failed to show up exactly on time. She also seemed to learn everyone's names with remarkable speed, identifying everyone consistently within moments of arriving. Ronquillleap was impressed by her quick wit and sharp memory, but every attempt he made to engage her in conversation seemed to fall flat.

This was not the case when it came to Agavebranch however. The new warrior brought with her a new skill: reading entrails. And Agavebranch was constantly tucked away in some corner, watching as the dark molly sketched out different patterns and pointed out important places of contact, or shapes that could be made. They made an interesting sight, one pale as a ghost, the other a living shadow, as they poured over their ancient knowledge.

With the arrival of three healthy kits, the clan had never been in higher spirits. Stuck in the caves, there was little to celebrate on a daily basis, but the arrival of the first healthy kits into the clan was definitely something to celebrate. All the warriors had gathered plenty of moss and pelts to line the nest, and some had even brought some glowworms into the den to shed a little light on the happy new family.

Carrotwrinkle, the assigned father of these kits, was no less overjoyed than if they had been his own. At first, he had panicked at his assignment, unsure if he was ready to be a father. But Buntingbelly has assured them that they would have plenty of time to get used to the idea before she really needed his help, which was true. As soon as they saw the kits however, they needed no further convincing. Two little white bundles, flanking tiny grey one, had stolen their heart immediately, and they were never far from the nursery if they were not on patrol.

Sweetyam chuckled, nudging Petalstar slightly, "Looks like you did a good job with that pairing, hu?" The leader smiled, rolling her eyes slightly. "I'm serious!" Sweetyam insisted, "Even I was skeptical at first, but look how well he's stepped into the role, even with such short notice!"

"Mmm I suppose your right," Petalstar murmured, still rather preoccupied, "Which is of course the point of the system I suppose." She turned to groom her shoulder, where the fur was laying just slightly off, still lost in thought. She still had a little while before she started showing of course, if she did at all. Some queens barely looked pregnant until the last few weeks, and Petalstar hoped she would be that lucky. The tom looked nothing like any of the toms in the clan, but she wasn't sure quite yet if that was a good or bad thing. Either way, it would be what it would be. She just had to find a way to manage it.

Buckeyepaw shifted nervously, waiting for Livèreshell to emerge from the nursery. As soon as the tawny tomcat's head poked out, he jumped him. "Livèreshell, didn't you saw a few weeks ago that you thought I was close to being ready to take my assessment?"

The decided shook his head slightly, trying to process the barrage of words, "Well, uh, yes. Yes I did. Why are you asking?"

"Well, I was just sparring with some of the younger warriors, and I was holding my own!" Buckeyepaw crowed proudly, "And Wildstripe said that he thinks I could pass my assessments if I took them!"

"Well, you're a little young," Livèreshell cautioned, "I'll talk to Petalstar about it, but remember it's not the end of the world if you don't pass the first time."

"Oh, I will!" The apprentice puffed out his chest, his tail lashing with excitement, "Just tell me when my assessment is, and I'll crush it!"

"I'll tell you as soon as I know kid," Livèreshell chuckled, padding away, shaking his head slightly. "Wildstripe, what were you thinking?" He muttered under his breath.
