Xandra hands in the collectable this time, shaking it off of her paw when it got stuck. Oh gosh, there it goes, bouncing away. She chases after it, and runs right into an empty wall. When she gets her bearings again she looks for it again, and finds it all slonked out. Xey grab it in xeir mouth and sheepishly places it on the counter, blushing from embarrassment. "Sorry about that ehe... you know how slonkies are!" Xey joked before running out the door.
the museum curator watches xem chase the slonky around the room, running headfirst into a wall before finally settling the wiggling not-creature onto his desk. he doesn't even get a chance to answer when xey run out of the door all embarassed. "nothing to be embarassed over," he shrugs and goes to pick up the slonky, knocking out of his paw and watching it slonk away through the room, tumble by tumble. "maggggsssss..." he calls to his wife, "a slonky is loose again!"

After their afternoon walk, Mel and Saxophone drag their new friend Pidge to the museum!
"Look, look! Hi guys," Saxophone says, snout pressed directly against the glass protecting their donated gizmos. "This is Pidge! They're living with us now!!"
Pidge looked between the excitable beardog and the display before giving a little wave at the objects.
"H-hello."
Mel wandered up to the Curator's table, gently placing the day's treasure between them. The other beardogs caught notice and scampered over to join.
"LOOK WHAT WE FOUND!" exclaimed Saxophone. "It's the best treasure yet!!! See, it's the best because it represents all of us..."
"Because it's grey?" asked Pidge, a little incredulously.
"Because it's grey." replied Mel and Saxophone in unison.
"And look," says Mel, carefully pointing a claw at its side. "It's got pink-ish wheels like your bow. You can be the tires...Saxophone is definitely the loud engine that makes it run, and I'll be the steering wheel!"
"Actually...that makes a lot of sense," admits Pidge.
"I can't wait to visit it every day..." sighs Sax wistfully.
the museum curator watches with a keen fondness as the duo peer into the case at their little gizmos; seems they've bought a friend today. seems there will be three of them coming by everytime now. how nice. maybe maggie can bake them up some cookies or what have you. can't leave youngin's going hungry.
"you know, kids," he says, pushing his glasses up to survey the little toy. "we give extra prizes to folks that donate items first. seems someone beat you on this one earlier in the day buuuuut--" he grins and puts the doodad up on his high shelf; with other duplicate donations from people excited about having their items displayed. "just for you lot, i reckon we can make an exception. get goin' and come back soon, all three of ya!"
