a soft sigh left the silvery-gray and white shecat as she sat beside the camp entrance, tail curled around her paws and bright yellow eyes observing her clanmates; her attention shifted as a lanky black tom slipped out of the warriors den, a mischievous smile spread on his maw. Feeling like he was up to something the silvery-gray tabby padded up to the tom "and just what are you up to Toadbelly?" she questioned, startling the black warrior.

chuckling softly to himself the lanky black and white tom padded down the moss in his nest, hiding the collection of pebbles he would use later to prank one of his fellow clanmates; once done he quietly slipped from the warriors den, a smile spread on his maw. giving his pelt a shake he happily approached the fresh-kill pile, selecting a mouse he turned around, only to be startled by Puddlefoot's soft yet stern voice "o-oh nothing Puddlefoot, j-just about to eat" Toadbelly chuckled awkwardly as he motioned to the mouse that was now laying at his feet.

Flightfeather stirred awake with a flick of her tail, her jaws widening in a yawn. She sat up in her nest as her eyes adjusted to the dim light of the warrior’s den. Quickly her sleepiness turned to panic as her gaze wandered around the space and found every nest empty. “Mother of mouse turds!” she exclaimed, jumping to her feet. She should’ve been on this morning’s hunting patrol! Lightningstar was going to kill her! Not even taking the time to smooth her long fur, she raced out of the warrior’s den, hoping the patrol hadn’t gone too far without her. She had almost made it to the camp entrance before running square into Toadbelly, her head slamming into his chest and knocking her flat on her rump.

Pixie felt herself relax as Oriolegaze licked her fur, helping smooth it down. As curiosity won over fear, she looked up at him. "I guess thats ok, I visit my friend's gardens at home. Although, " She looked thougthful "Usually they come to mine cause of all the fences. I'm not big enough yet." Pixie got to her paws, "Ok, I can visit, as long as you can take me home later. My family will miss me if I'm gone too long. They are probably worried already."

Once Shadowclaw reached the small clearing he set down the shrew. Glancing at Sunshinekit he meowed "You wouldn't want to eat this shrew, it is really stale and could give you a belly ache. And since prey is plentiful right now, its ok not to eat it. During leafbare or leaffall however, when prey is scarce, we would be thankful for this. So even though we are using it for hunting practice now, we still need to be respectful of this prey." He gestured with his tail for the kits to sit next to each other in front of him. "Sunrisekit, hunting usually is fun for most cats most of the time." He didn't want to dampen her enthusiasm, but he wanted to be honest. "But there are times hunting is hard, you might be out in snow, pouring rain, or during really hot days. During those times you want to remember that you are hunting for your clan. And on that note, that is an important part of the warrior code. The clan must be fed first. You don't go out hunting to feed yourself when the clan needs the prey." He then turned to Waterfallkit, his eyes twinkling. "Before you even become an apprentice you will need to know the warriors code by heart, but you have time. For now, I'll show you the hunters crouch, I want you to watch me." Shadowclaw sunk down into the hunters crouch keeping his weight evenly balanced as his sank so his belly almost brush the ground. He kept his tail low, but didn't let it brush the ground. He held the pose for a few heartbeats, then sat up. "Ok, if you watched me carefully, you should be able to tell me what I did. Who wants to tell me?"

She walked over to the fresh-kill pile, there was not much prey left, but she knew that there was åelanty to find in the forest. Her eyes looked around the camp, her apprentice was still helping with the medicine cat apprentice so she let him do that. She didn't want to be useless to the clan so she needed to get something for herself to do, so she walked over to the three cats there she saw "mornings Flightfeather, Toadbelly, Puddlefoot? doo you have any plans? want to come to a hunting with me?" she asked the three cats.

She picked some herbs too and carried them to the pile they were needed to bring. She lightly rolled her eyes at the tom words and listened to the rest he needed to say "all free to drool on them, but I would warn you that their taste on your mouth will be even worse than what they're now" she meowed to her with a laugh. She took a mouthful of bad herbs and followed the orange tabby tom to the dirt place. After dropping the herbs she took a quick lick to her chest before looking back at the tom "Yeah me too, eating fresh prey in the mornings is one of the best moments of the whole day" she meowed to him, starting to move toward the fresh-kill pile. She smiled at the toms bouncing for a moment, her tail flicking as she walked, thinking if they were supposed to ask someone grown up to accompany them, she was four moons older than an apprentice and Foxpaw was an apprentice "do you think your mentor could be available to join us? I think my mentor didn't want us to go together out there" she meowed.

She gave a look at Snowpaw as they walked toward the elder's den "I do feel the same with my mentor sometimes, I feel like I am bothering her to live her own life...but I guess that's not a thing as even now she left the camp without me..." she meowed to her. She slowly blinked her eyes as she entered the den, her eyes looked over at Falconstream there before facing the elder, noticing the prey she had there 'oh well, she doesn't need prey now, huh...' she thought to herself. She looked at her as she spoke to them "morning Hoenywhisker, Falconstream..." she greeted gently, giving a small smile "you could be always centered by someone...aren't you like the most respected member of the whole clan?" she meowed to the elder. Though she was not so happy about her having one or two ticks on her fur.

He moved quickly as he left the camp without nobody noticing anything, or so he hoped as nobody was not yet stopped him. He didn't know why he needed to act this way now, he was not a small kit anymore, but still, he felt like doing something he may regret later. He sniffed the air a saw the trails the two different patrols were taken, maybe he could follow his mentor's patrol, but there was still one scent that was separated from all else, it belonged to the Blazingash the young warrior of the clan. He decided to go and see what was he up there all alone.

He walked deeper into the forest, flicking his ears over to any sounds he heard. He stopped at the very moment when he saw a little group of finches eating near some trees. He got down and started to stalk the birds, preparing to attack some of them. Slowly he waited for a moment before jumping out of the bush and catching one finch, sadly the rest of the birds fly away.

He walked over to the small brook he saw there, carefully he watched the water to see any movements there, but so far nothing. He slowly started to walk near the brook, to see if there could be any fish anywhere.

She sat near the fresh-kill pile and took a smile mice out of there, as she looked as her kits followed after the dark tom. She swallowed her bite as she thought if any of them will become Shadowclaw's apprentice, pretty likely when there was already a good amount of apprentice's already.

She looked at the warrior little bit confused "then why was that shrew hunted down then, if not eating, kind of a waste to me" she meowed. She didn't really get why could they need to be respectful to the prey which was already gone, dead is dead it can't feel anything anymore.

She narrowed her eyes, a little not so interested, she lost her patience easily and the warrior was speaking too much. She knew most of the things he was speaking anyway she was not that stupid even if she was not yet started her training as an apprentice.

The smile fell from his face and was replaced with pain as something hard collided with his chest, letting out a grunt he stumbled back a few paw steps before quickly regaining his balance; orange eyes landing on the young tabby shecat as she sat before him "oh starclan! are you alright Flightfeather? you're not hurt are you?" Toadbelly questioned as he leaned forward to sniff her, his attention shifted as a black shecat approached them "hello Shadowfeather, no we don't have any plans" he said, giving Puddlefoot a quick glance "I can't speak for Puddlefoot or Flightfeather but I wouldn't mind going on a hunt" Toadbelly said with a smile.

A startled gasp left the silver tabby warrior as Flightfeather suddenly collided with Toadbelly, he maw parted as she went to go speak but the tom beat her to it; instead she watched as a black shecat made her way up to the three of them; flicking an ear she dipped her head in greeting "greeting's Shadowfeather" Puddlefoot murmured saftly, her yellow gaze flicking between her and Toadbelly as they spoke "a hunt would be good about now, considering how low the fresh-kill pile will be soon" she chimed in.

Flightfeather buried her face in her paws. “Toadbelly! I’m so sorry! I’m alright, are you alright?” She peered up at Shadowfeather as the she-cat approached the group, hoping her clanmate hadn’t witnessed her clumsiness from a few moments ago. She widened her eyes when hunting was mentioned, and stood up eagerly. “I’d love to join you! I have to catch extra to make up for missing the patrol this morning. Maybe Wolfshade and Lightningstar will be less angry if there’s a couple extra sparrows in the pile,” She meowed with a nervous laugh.

Shadowclaw glanced over at Sunshinekit, "Good question, it was hunted yesterday morning when we needed prey, but since the forest is so prey rich we didn't eat it all. It doesn't happen often, but when it does its often because warriors or apprentices get over excited when the prey is running so well." He flicked his tail at Waterfallkit, "Good job, that is exactly what I did. Now, Sunrisekit, why was is important that I crouched in that manner?" He could see she was getting bored, and he felt a flash of concern. 'I don't know what all they know yet, I guess I should have paid more attention to what they know, or asked first. I want to be a good mentor. I'll just get them started on their hunting crouch themselves in a moment ' he thought to himself.

Moonshadow shot a glance at Oriolegaze as he mentioned scaring her off. She shook her head, who knows. The twolegs could of followed her and this could be putting the clan in danger. And he's over here inviting her into our camp? She thought , a small bout of fear crossing her mind. She glanced at the patrol, seeing the kit's uneasiness. She paused, before turning around. She mewed over her shoulder "Where did everyone leave their catches buried? I will take the apprentices and bring it back to camp so Oriolegaze can take care of Pixie. Since we are crowding and scaring the poor thing, we may as well let him calm the kid down so we can help her"

OceanPaw smoothed her fur noticing the kit seemed terrified. She tilted her head, listening to the warriors and the kit speak to one another. She flicked her tail before looking up at the warriors "Do you want me to go back and find LightningStar to alert him?" she questioned. Hoping she could at least be of some help. She looked back at the kit and offered a smile "Everyone here is really nice, and they always catch the best mice to eat" She purred, hoping to ease the nerves of Pixie.

indentation The tortie blinked almost questioningly at the ginger tabby and came to a startling - and kind of sad in his opinion - realization that the stranger - Blazingash apparently - was introducing himself. Silently he listened to the tom quietly hoping that this wasn't a trick. "And this isn't in your clan's territory, right?" Ray inquired, before adding a squeaky introduction, "O-oh, and I'm Ray." Tail stiff and brushing against the ground the tabby, the feline made a jerking motion and cleared his throat."Can you lead me to this... Den. I just got to the area a few nights ago." Ray was willing to admit that he didn't trust this stranger - Blazingash - but if they got caught, then at least he'd have time to throw him under the monster and escape.

indentation A purr rumbled in his throat at the young kits mew. "I will do my very best to return you to your home in a timely manner, little one." He said in a solemn tone, and a nod before turning his gaze to his clan-mates. "I'm not sure that there'll be much to bring back, but if you want to." He said softly before clearing his throat. "I caught a squirrel a few trees back, I think Oceanpaw caught a mouse not long after that. I'm not sure if anyone else got anything." He told Moonshadow before turning his attention to Oceanpaw when she mentioned letting Lightningstar know. The tom grimaced, and silently debated his choices. Letting him know and in turn, probably having him return early might not be the best idea, but not letting him know and coming back to that surprise wouldn't be a good thing... The tom let out a hum and then came up with a compromise. " Sure, go let Lightningstar know, but tell him I have it handled and not to worry. A solution should make itself clear by the time he gets back from patrol. Alright?" He intoned questionly.

indentationResisting the urge to sigh loudly at Stormpaw's bull-headedness, the tom merely nodded his head and continued on walking. He paused to take in the scents around him for a heartbeat before continuing. Hoping to end the argument that he was sure was approaching, the tom spoke up. "Doesn't seem to be any foreign scents in this area. Well, nothing more than a quarter moon old, at least." This was odd as it was both relieving and mildly terrifying as they were still relatively close-ish to camp, and yet the semi-faded scent suggested that whatever it was had only passed through, and hadn't stayed. Hawkpaw shook off the warring impulses and relaxed turning his gaze to his mentor, silently seeking some approval. Or at least a change in conversation.

indentation Her heart raced as Molesprout remained silent, as her panic began to overwhelm. In the back of her mind, she recognized the soft purr in her ear as Willowbreeze, - an attempt to comfort her, maybe? Vaguely she recognized the voices of Risingshine, and Phantomcry, but didn't really understand what either cat was saying. Or were they asking something? She didn't know. Blood rushed in her ears, and all she could hear was the rapid beat of her heart in her ears as her world began to spin panic bubbled up. Then, suddenly the shadows retreated and everything was clear. The panic rippled, twisted and a wave of new vicious anger took its place. Face contorting into a sneer, and shoving herself swiftly back a good tail length back, she gave the medicine cat her full attention ignoring Risingshine and Phantomcry to narrow in on a better target. One paw slammed down in the space between them claws unsheathed as she hissed out a warning. "If you don't tell me what's wrong in the next seventeen heartbeats Molesprout, I swear on Lynxstrike's spirit that I'll make you regret ever being born."
