As the two walked home from an otherwise uneventful outing, they spotted a lost beardog trailing behind them.
"Another lost fella..." murmured Mel as the newcomer approached. "You need help finding home?"
"N-not exactly, stammered the new beardog. Their fur glistened in the evening light, softer than anything Mel OR Saxophone had ever seen. "I'm looking for a new one."
"Well you can stay with us!" exclaimed Saxophone, looking to Mel for approval. "There's plenty of room!"
"Sure," nodded Mel. "Maybe we should swing by downtown real quick to pick up some stuff for you."
"My name's Saxophone, and this is Mel!" chattered the young beardog. "What's your name?"
"Uhm, I go by Pidge."
"Nice to meet you, Pidge!" said Mel, leading the others left into the heart of the city. "Now, where to first...?"
