Can't an official admin make a rarity list the reason I lose on rare's so much is cause most follow horrors list although helpful is really making trading no fun and much harder that's just my opinion! everyone else is lucky though if you're a new player this is no help to new players XD I'm middle learning still and although there's raffles and nice people friends that trade friends rares its killing me and probably some other players trying to make a 'fair' trade which half of which is turned down cause of this list so far to me then again its helped players value their lists!

I believe a staff member answered this question either a few pages back or on another thread, but basically the reason why this wont ever happen is because the list is demand and user based. It wouldnt make any sense to make another list if theres already one in place that most users already follow and mutually agree on. If there were to be an “official” list made by staff it would be based off of exact pet counts, which will never be obtainable because Tess herself said she’d never release that info.

The list isn’t necessarily meant to help new users, but more of helping users that own more valuable pets and help in trading those pets fairly!

That information is already here. On the 2nd post of this thread it explains what a non is, and on the 7th post it shows a breakdown of how many nons a pet on this list is worth.

This list was a user-based project where a group of members went through by ID and tried to count the amount of each older pet, and broke that down to this guide using the information they found & the demand of pets at the time, as well as when the pet turned very rare or OMGSR. If your pet isnt on this list, then most likely it was found your pet was too common to be placed, or didnt turn very rare until recently. Just because a pet is good doesn’t mean its super high value!

There was a lot of work put into this thread, and while I understand it can be frustrating certain pets you own arent on the list, you dont need to use this as a guide. You can trade any way you’d like, and even make up your own personal list. Just know that you will most likely have less successful trades if you do that, because most users do use this when trading higher value pets.

While I agree with the fact that list C$ prices are kind of absurd nowadays, as someone who saw when some outlier cases were trying to push MAs to 350-400C$ I'd argue adding the C$ list actually helped curb the greed and value pushing a bit! Having a written-down concrete 'average' helps in determining what's in the ballpark of fair imo and makes it harder for people to deliberately overcharge c:

I was only half active when it happened. I was a bit frustrated. Here is the thing. Healthy inflation usually occurs once per year. This inflation occurred a lot quicker than people realized, and fact that c$ has limited use is the issue it is so inflated. I am thankful to hear that the staff may be looking into implementing more ways to use c$. I think it may level the playing field a little.

I see things are being updated - looking good so far and I like the idea of adding some non-list related stuff in! c: If I may offer some WIP criticism though, a couple small things stood out on a quick read:

1. Would it be better to put the VR Extended Releases (Green Bat dog and the non-list Tess horses) under the other rereleases? I'd imagine it'd be easier and less confusing to have them all in one place, especially since none of them are being traded at list values.

2. The 2:1 and 3-month rules, while useful to have noted here, are highly subjective and while most users follow them to some degree not everyone does - for example I personally don't care for the 3-month rule for incoming trades because it often feels more hassle than it's actually worth. Atm they're presented in a very matter-of-fact way, and I feel there could be benefit to highlighting the fact that these rules and the way they're interpreted depends who you trade!

3. Shouldn't non-list/non-store VRs be included in the rarity math tab? In my experience most people are usually quite okay trading 2 (or 4, depending on what rarity math they use) rares for a VR of the year.

4. The actual Rares' List portion is VERY cramped down/busy atm and would really benefit from being spaced out more - I assume this one in particular may be a WIP issue though?

I know the thread is still very much WIP - if any of these suggestions were in the works anyway ofc feel free to disregard lol

Can we add commons and uncommons to have a rarity math set up cause I have thousands if not more uncommons and Commons that I could bulk trade for a store pet and I don't understand how that isn't fair for one store pet everyone's allowed to say no but can't that math be done so we know what to keep and what is invaluable to anyone say like common new pets should be swapped fairly but that's about it when it comes to this.

I haven't looked at all the new stuff, but I want to show some appreciation for the "4:1 uncommon:rare" information. I have been doing 5:1 for a long time (with 4:1 for older dates). I've been dealing with reducing rares to uncommons for a long time and I've based my trading on the only ratios we were given,even if they're old.

I second what wookie said! I’ve always felt the gap between rarities with the 2:1 rule always made sense for just omgsc-vc and vc-common, so i’m glad there will start to be a shift in that with the update!
