I know that date wise they're overpaying, but my side of the trade is mostly(if not all) event pets while they have no event pets on their side. So I just want a second opinion on the trade. Especially in terms of demand.

Got this trade for six 2016 Easter items and a Space Event item.

I’ve been told most items are valued at an uncommon from their release year but none of the pets on their side are uncommon and most are from 2017 and not 2016. However based on their trade rules it seems like they deal in items a lot more than I do so are these items worth less for some reason?

4 MA = 0.25 nons + ~0.5 MA

The totals come out about the same with 0.25 nons + 0.5 MA.
I would argue your side is still worth a bit more considering the Storgi [rainbow corgi] can often fetch a bit higher than a solid 1 MA, often pushing towards 1.5+ MA. The individual corgis themselves can fluctuate between 1-1.5 MA depending on the seller as well.
Based on these findings, I hope you can come to a conclusion though. Please feel free to get a second opinion that can talk more about it as a demand-wise decision. (:
