Denzell | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Lex, Snarl | Location: Camp
"I didn’t miss that," Denzell noted. His shoulders tensed up and he had to take a deep breath to calm himself down. Since the pups had been born, he had worried that one day, things would go downhill and take a turn for the worse. Worried that one day, he would fail, and would be a stranger. He had tried not to let it come to that, and he knew arguing with Louve did him no favours, but when provoked, he couldn’t help it! "I AM a parent, Snarl. I may not be the world's best dad, but I AM a parent and I AM trying."
Denzell himself still often had a pup-like energy, so caring for young pups of his own was more than a little challenging, but really! Reality was harsh, and Snarl said it as it was, he knew that. She had never tried to sugarcoat things to protect someone's feelings. A trait they shared. He forced himself to cool off though. He didn’t need to get worked up. "What do I care? Whenever we get put in the same place the last couple months, all that ends up happening in an argument. She'll be mad at me for something, no matter whether I stay or go." Sure, the two still had some rare good times, but they were fighting more and more as time went on.
"Yeah. That works." Denzell really didn’t want to just watch Lex go off, but he was with a fully trained Warrior and a family member, and what did it say about him if his mate and daughter woke up and found him gone? Like he had tried to run away from responsibility again? He closed his eyes. There were no good answers here. No good outcome no matter how he looked at the situation. I wish we had never gone this far. I love the pups, but I wish we had waited, just a little more. Just until we were sure we were ready.
Jasmin | Healer | F-Pack | Tagging: Sienna | Location: Camp
Jasmin had been sorting through her herbs, then had emerged into the clearing for breakfast, though her appetite was washed away by how dismayingly small the prey pile was. Thankfully, her attention was stolen rather quickly following that, and she lifted her head when motion caught the corner of her eye, one of the other wolves, looking around, like she was searching for something. The grey and white Healer curiously stepped forward. "Looking for someone?" She asked.
Arian | Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Kazue | Location: Camp
As a general rule, Arian wouldn’t have considered herself the warmest or most welcoming wolf in the world, much less ANYONE'S favourite, but it still warmed her heart, just a little. It wasn’t that she had a low opinion of herself, really, so much as that she could see the reality. To outsiders, she came off cold and unfeeling, and she had no qualms saying it how it was. Kazue was one of the few wolves there who really had worked his way into her heart though. Besides, the warmth from her friend was very welcome, with her winter pelt just starting to grow in. She nudged her head under Kazue's chin to rest against his chest, thankful her small size allowed her to do so.
"Well good morning to you too, my friend. Looks like someone's in a good mood this morning. Enjoying the cold?" Arian joked, turning her amber gaze up towards him. She didn’t know a soul who ENJOYED the cold particularly, as it signified a cruel and uncomfortable season, but perhaps joking about it would make it just a little more bearable for the time being. And she had company too, which helped lighten her mood just a little.
