I really like fidget toys. They help with my dermatillomania, which is compulsive skin and scab picking. I was just curious what your favorites are! Maybe I might look into them to add to my stash!

I just picked up a couple of sensory slugs as a prize from my local arcade and I have to say those things have been keeping me mesmerized. The way they move combined with the little click clack sounds they make is just so satisfying.
I usually use fidget toys as a means of stimming, but as someone on the road to recovery from dermatillomania, I never considered that they could help with that so I’ll have to try it out :)

Slime is great. It's, unfortunately, kind of hard to take care of though. You wouldn't want to play with it on any unclean surfaces, wash your hands beforehand all the time, and re-activate it and stuff to keep it in good condition. Even then it'll still get old and deplete over time. So you'd be better off with something else. I have executive dysfunction and the house barely keeps any semblance of put together, so I can't do a lot of slime stuff. That being said, if you're going to get slime anyway I've gotten it from
slimeobsidian before and theirs are pretty cool.

ah, i didn't think of this- i have really bad executive dysfunction as well so it would probably deactivate at some point and mess my room up. i guess i just saw the videos and went "heehoo eat the slime soft"
i've heard of slime obsidian! i used to follow a lot of slime instagram accounts, i'm not sure WHY i unfollowed tbh.
i'll consider these things before buying anything, thank you ^^
edit:
this looks so edible (i am not actually going to eat slime)

i've always been a fidgeter and i have heavily suspected i have adhd for years, and if i'm honest the whole 'fidget spinner' craze in 2017 was what alerted me to fidget toys. i haven't got a lot, and before i knew they existed i used makeshift fidget toys like,, literally just paper i'd keep in my pocket to tear up and twist and mess up, or necklaces i wear (i dunno, anything is game when you've got fidgety hands). but since then i use tangles, which is what tourbillon was referring to i believe! whatever those are called, i have one, and it's helped a lot to keep my hands busy in lectures etc.
though recently, for my birthday, my friend bought me a spinning fidget ring from impulse modern! it fits on my right index finger and i use my right thumb to spin the chain. it's very useful!

Any sort of pop-it with smaller "pops." not the traditional size pop-its, but for example, ones that are sort of built in with fidget spinner and have smaller "pops". For some reason my peanut brain LOVES it, although i've heard some people say they aren't very good quality or they might not be the best match for you if you have chronic pain in your hands

i got a spinner necklace lately, and it's pretty nice to fidget with since it has two sides with rough texture, the scale side tarnished pretty quickly though. that might be because of my hands.
the bike chain is pretty nice too!
bought something like
this some time ago, i really liked the noises it made but i lost it (again) lol. should get it again sometime.
