I'm pleased to see Epica on your list of songs- I've been a fan since The Phantom Agony, which may be showing my age a bit. Saw them live in London a couple of years ago- I'd never travelled outside my own country for a gig before, but I don't regret it: Epica and Powerwolf in the one show, what's not to love?

Ahh what a conicidence!! I was at the exact same tour in my city! I believe it was back in the beginning of 2017.. Unfortunately I only got to see the last few songs of Epica, I wasn't a fan back then. But yes the combinaton of those two was pure gold! Happy to see some fans on here c: Powerwolf is such a fun live act!

Happy to see some metal newbies finding this thread c:! Slipknot just screams nostalgia for me!! They were the first metal(-ish) band I started listened to and slowly got me into the world of metal! I barely listen to them anymore because my style has changed so much but they still have a soft spot in my heart!

hi guys nice to meet you! :0 im a bit of a new metal listener, ive been slowly getting into it though other genres such as post hardcore and screamo! id love to get some recs and just talk about music in general!
my favorite metalcore band right now is secret band, ive been loving all of their stuff but vocalist jon mess especially shines on LP2! ive been a huge fan of their parent band, dance gavin dance, as of late (rip this fanbase currently however) and i just cant get enough of jons vocals. i also am a huge fan of daughters, my favorites by them are their self titled album and of course you wont get what you want. other bands i like are gouge away, loma prieta, deftones, code orange, and counterparts!
i also love concerts and concert discussion, so let me know if youve been to any cool ones lately!

Ahh yess great!! Pantera is definitely one of the big players in their field hehe! Also funfact! Domination (which is also on this album) includes one of the first breakdowns in metal music (and in my opinion still one of the best) - and breakdowns are also quite rare outside of the extreme metal genres and core!

yee you're at the right spot for recs! Although I'm not focusing on core/screamo on here since I am past that stage as stated! But I really get where you came from I found my way into heavier music also through core bands and went a little crazy from there on :'D the one core band I still listen to is Parkway Drive, I don't know why but they still get me everytime when I listen to them! and I think they are still very relevant in the scene and put out some great music!
Oh yes I'm going to as many concerts as I can hehe last one was KISS on their final world tour a few weeks ago!! Such a great show man.. they are past their 70s that is crazy
