I keep most of the pets I get from the pound, especially ones I get at random when I can't find anything I need, dress them up and keep them all nice in a group of their own, but I still know that they are just pixels and the whole point of this game is trading and collecting these pixels.

Why do we get a sad message if we trade a pet away but not when we delete a pet? If we want to be sentimental about it, then a sad message about deleting a pet, which is- in a sense- "killing" it, seems much more fitting and necessary than trading a pound pet away. If we know the pet is going to someone who wants it more than we do, and we know that that person likely won't trade it off, why should we get a message about it?

I just find it unecessary to the whole of the game. And as has been said, people are going to trade them regardless of the message. The second I get one it gets deleted right away, but it'd be nice if we didn't have to delete it in the first place. It's a waste of space.

Supporting especially for the reasons listed here.

I agree with this so much, I struggle with anxiety and getting that message just makes me feel so horrible, all for nothing. I hate the message so much for this reason, its pointless stress and anxiety.

Oh man I've only ever ended up trading away a pound pet once. but that message made me feel so bad about it. I can see it being really annoying if someone trades a lot of pound pets.

Support, it doesn't help that it'll fill up your inbox if you trade multiple pound pets away, creating spam.

I believe there is a way to kind of do this already!

My account > Private Messages > Rules, folders, & settings
Then add a new rule!
If: Sender > is > Pound > delete message

I'm not sure if this works, but I don't see why it wouldn't!

if you're not sure what your Dec. 18th pet is worth, DO NOT accept any trades for it until you've checked if it's fair in the thread below!!

support, i don't keep track of which pets of mine are pound pets when it comes to trading, so i always get confused when i see the little "Messages (1)", then get annoyed that it's just another pound message

did that and it did nothing. still receiving the message. especially since the user is the sender of the message, not the pound.

I realize this does not resolve the suggestion in question, but I just wanted to clarify this resource as it can be helpful in the meantime. ^^

The most consistent way to filter out the message is actually to have the rule apply to the message title, rather than the name of the sender, as the title of the message does not change.
Once you are in the settings for your private messages, you will want to add the following rule instead:

You will still receive a notification saying that you have a new message, but when you click into the Messages tab, the message will be automatically deleted.
