The Awakening (Semi-Lit Pokemon Roleplay) Private

(Story is in progress, though this is the main gist.)

Before
It's a legend everyone's heard. It is what is told to young children for a bedtime story. It is a story that runs through the minds as a new trainer picks their very first Pokemon. It's what the Elite Four sometime's discusses during breaks. It has spread throughout all regions, from Kanto to Jhoto, Shinnoh to Unova. It was whispers in the wind on different islands across the world. But it's just that, nothing more then a sweet story to tell...

Right?

There's a rumor that it's not. That it is a rare event that happens every one hundred thousand years on June 10th. And guess what?

It's tommorrow.

Although most rumors die within a breath, this one spread like butter on toast. But this one didn't. Oh, no. It passed from street vendor to costumer, costumer to friend, friend to child, child to playmates. It was as if migrating Butterfree carried it upon their wings.

What makes this legend so special?

Everything.

It is told that a great light will appear in the sky, believed to be a Legendary Pokemon awaking from it's sleep. If you are gazing at the lightwhen it appears, since it is very quick, you will go to Paradise. And be immortal. And have whatever your heart desires.

Sounds crazy, right? Well, human's are very curious creatures. So now they flock from all regions to Kanto, where a special "Observitory Platform" has been created. But of course, the light can be seen all around the world. But there'll be a carnival at the Observitory...

After

Gone... Everything. Everything's gone. Our families. Our teammates. The world around us is burning to a crisp. The light. Whoever was unfortunate enough to see the thing has vanished. Human and Pokemon. Alike. As If they never exsisted.

Anybody not looking at the light was knocked unconcious. And now, as everyone is stirring, panic will arise. There are so very few of us left now.

...All we can do is hope they are safe...

And survive.

Summay~

So basically there is this ancient light that only appears every hundred thousand years. And if you saw it, you were supposed to be whsiked into perfection. So when everyone found out it was coming, they all gathered to watch. And when they did, they disappeared. Now, everyone who didn't see the light must now survive in the mess the light has left. And they will travel to disover the source of this light, and possibly bring home their loved ones. But danger lies within the shadows...

Rules~

1. Follow CS rules.
2. You must know about Pokemon. You can't get it without seeing the show/playing the games etc.
3. This is not a romance roleplay. This. Is. Survival. No one's going to have eggs when they could die at any second.
4. Apoctalyptic. There will not be two million Eeveelutions running around. Seriously. Be a Xatu or something, they probably saw it coming.
5. Semi-Lit. I know this means two sentences now. I want eight. At the very least, with writer's block, six. Because if you put your little heart into it, details and feelings make a huge difference.
6. No sues. Absolutely, positively not.
7. For 'Moves', put the ones you use most often.
8. This is a more realistic Pokemon, leaning more towards the show then the game. Meaning it is possible for you to die.
9. Trainers and such will be extremely rare, maybe one in every third town. If you would like one, you may PM me.
10. If you're never going to post, don't make a form. It just ticks me off.
11. This will probably be a small roleplay, maybe five or six role-players. It's easier in all, and the story will move along more smoothly. 12. Humans are temporary. (Subject to change)

Soren is your average Cyndaquil. He has a pear shaped body, colored an almost navy blue color. The blue covers his back completely. along with the top of head and waist. The rest of his body is the color of milk, besides his pure white claws. His arms are almost a blunt icicle shape, except much thicker. But what really stands out are the four flame-colored spots on his back, making an imperfect rectangle. Whenever he gets mad, or uses a Fire-type move, the small creature will erupt a flame from them. His head, a perfect round shape, holds two closed eyes. The only reason his head is not like a sphere is for the long 'beak' that is his mouth. The only unaturaul thing about him is a leather necklace that holds an Everstone, a gift from his trainer.

Soren was bred in a Breeding Center as a starter Pokemon for a new trainer. Him, along with the standard Chikorita and Totodile were taken into incubators months before three of the town's children turned ten. But, for one reason or another, he didn't hatch in time. The other two were taken and a sandy haired by the name of Oliver, was the only one who thought he had the patience to nurture the what seemed like a lifeless egg. His mother begged him to give it back, to wait for the next batch to arrive, but he refused. He took great care with his egg, which he named 'Soren', by making a nest of blankets, and using his own money to buy a heat lamp. Wherever Oliver went, Egg Soren went. And eventually, the little boys patience paid off. A month behind schedule, his small egg cracked in the middle of the night. Oliver, thinking it had fallen over, rushed over and felt the patterned egg carefully. Feeling nothing else, he picked it up to check the bottom when a baby Cyndaquil hatched from it's prison. Not believing his luck, the boy was estatic. This rare way to hatch, and his late arrival, he was convinced Soren would be the best Pokemon there ever was or ever would be. From day two, the first Ollie spent all night caring for his starter, Soren was given training lessons. They fought easy things, Hoothoots and Sentrats, some of the new trainers friends. Soren even beat the Totodile that had almost a month on him. When the rumor started to spread, Oliver and Soren left their peaceful home for the Observitory about two weeks before hand. On the way, they did battles for training. As he neared level fourteen, Oliver was bouncing on his toes for a Quilava. That his little Soren could evolve like everyone else. And yet... He couldn't do it. So out of crude leather and some rope, he bought an Everstone and wrapped it around the Cyndaquil's neck. And when the light came, Oliver was chattering happily to the Pokemon in his arms. The reason Soren did not disappear with his trainer was because at the last moment, he wanted to see the humans face, which is what drives him to save his owner. It was a look of pure happiness. The young Cyndaquil now pines for the old days, but knows this world will never be the same.
Personality:
Soren is the kind of Pokemon who loves to have fun, making fireworks with his Embers and showing off. But this often gets him in trouble, for he'll take things too far. He also is the kind of guy who wants to comfort people, but always messes them up somehow. Anywho, since he does have a slight problem with ADD, he gets spacy, and if someone points this out, he becomes very quick to snap. Eager to please, Soren is also very puppy dog like with his friends, which he knows annoys the crap out of him. But he truely means no harm.

Description:
Casey is an extrmely... er... Chubby, to put it nicely. All of her kind are though. This rare pokemon has an egg shaped body, along with a pouch on her stomach like a koala has. Both are a shade of pink, though her body is much lighter then the pouch. Oval feet are used to walk, not seeming like much, but are very helpful when running away, despite the weight they carry. They are the same shade as the pouch is. She had no nose and no distinguishable place where her body ends and head starts. But most of the way up on her body, she has a plain line of a mouth and above that, two oval eyes. On her 'head', she has six hair like tendrils flowing from her head, three on each side. Where they attatch to Casey's head, it is light, but darkens near the end. On the side of her body is two stubs that act as arm. But the most unusual featuer is the trademark 'egg' that rests in her pouch. Wether it will ever really do anything is a mystery.

Casey was born in the wild, somewhere deep in the secrets of the Safari Zone. As a young Happiny, she was carefree, and loved to wave at passing trainers. How she avoided capture for s long might never be known. One day, a young girl, hearing of the rare Happiny's and Chansey's sometime appeared in only this place, wandered close by a hidden Casey. Feeling a strong 'good' vibe coming from the girl, she dashed out to greet her. And this time, when the human picked her up, the little Pokemon didn't try to run. She allowed the human, named Cally, named her Casey, linked to Chansey and Chance. Eventually, Cally volunteered to work at a Pokemon center. Everyday, she took her Casey to work. And every day, the little Happiny helped sick and hurt Pokemon. From the joy that came from healed Pokemon , relieved trainers, extreme praise, and an Oval Stone gifted to her, she evolved into a Chansey. Casey then threw herself into helping, administering sprays, carrying tools etc. When she heard of the light, she ignored it. To timeconsuming. So now, she is in a Pokemon center, alone.
Personality:
As a Chansey, Casey is a very happy Pokemon. She loves being able to bring a smile to a face, anybodys. But this can also be a problem. Though she can somewhat read good/bad vibes from someone, happiness clouds her judgement sometimes. This could also be caused by her urge to help a Pokemon in need. But from her background, it is somewhat understandable.

Description:
Rinnie is almost your average Pikachu. She has an oddly shaped body, sort of like a mix between a pear and a hourglass. Bright yellow fur covers from the bottom three quarters of her ears to her toes. The other quarter are pure black, similar to the color on an Umbreon's coat. She had two short arms, with four little fingers. Near the ending of her back is two stretched brown oval's, spaced about two thumbs apart. An extremly distinct feature, true to an average Pikachu's description, in her lightningbolt shaped tail, mostly yellow in color. Near the bottom in the same shade of brawn, running a few inches up and ending in spikes. On each of her cheeks is a perfect circle of red, which seem friendly, but hold extreme power. But instead of black eyes like most Pikachu's have, she had bright blue ones. Another unusually thing she has is a red neckerchief around her neck, spotted with white dots.

Rinnie is a very docile creature, going with the flow. She'll throw out suggestion once in awhile, but doesn't otherwise. More of a follower. But she has a hothead, and gets ticked very easily. No, it might not be scary, since you usually see her happy, but that's not the point. Also insecure. Yes, she wishes she had better leadership qualities, but doesn't really say anything about it.

Vivian
Vivian is a bit more fluffy than your average Zubat and even has a slight tuft of fur covering where her left eye would be. In addition to this she has a slight muzzle and larger than normal ears. Her color scheme is also normal, blue with the inside of the wings being purple, the only odd thing being is she has a few purple dots on her torso and face.

Avery
Avery is a male. Yes, a male Gardevoir. He doesn't mind for he prefers Gardevoir over Gallade. The only time he minds is when someone calls him a female or they are a male hitting on him. Besides that, Avery is a normal Gardevoir. His 'hair' points down straight between his eyes, ending where the tip of his nose would end. The lower part of it is fairly short, as it curves slightly around his face. His 'ears' are a bit larger and have rounded, dull points. The chest spike is also larger, with the front being hooked and having a rounded back. Around his neck he wears a plain black leather choker. He is pretty much your average looking male Gardevoir. Though he does prefer to call his 'dress' a cloak, and will probably not be a happy camper if you accuse him of wearing a dress
~Callisto

Seul
Seul is a very small Rattata, more so than others at her age. Although young, Seul has a very vivid purple coat of fur, dashed with a light gray-white belly. Her fur, although soft, tends to stick up. No matter how she tries, it always seems to be unkempt, but perhaps that's the way of the wild. Her long tail is sleek and thin like herself. Her red eyes can seem glaring and a bit forceful at times, however, any awkward first impressions are soon washed away by her petite size. Her whiskers are pin-sharp and sensitive like any of her kind. Besides her small size, which as a Rattata is already noted, nothing separates her from any other of her kind.

Sol
The first and foremost anyone would notice about Sol, is that he's a Growlithe. His fur is rough at the touch as he feels no inclination to clean his fur when he feels it would just get dirty. After all, he is a police dog at heart. Dirt, sweat, and tears come with the job. His coat, like most other Growlithes of his kind, is a light orange color with a dirty tan underbelly. Black ebony stripes blaze his body like lighting, a trademark of the Growlithe, also representing his agility and quick thinking. Sol's dark blue eyes never seem to miss a thing either. With his eye sight and his young, agile body, Soleil comes off as a worthy opponent. He's quick on his feet and uses speed to his advantage

Virizon/Rinji
Virizion is a deer-like Pokémon. It is mainly green, with some pink highlighted leaves. On Virizion's back, there are spiked ends of fur ending in a quite a long tail. It stands of about 2 metres tall, and has long legs. Virizion has what seem like boots that go up about to knee height. Also, like a deer, Rinji has blunt ended antlers, that point out to the sides

Caz
Caz is a primarily dark teal-colored, feline pokemon. Her head takes up alot of her body, and there are tufts at the end of her cheeks and ears. She has long, tapered indigo-like markings above her eyes- which are not the normal green. Her eyes are more of a lime color, instead of the ashen-grass color of a normal Purrloin. Moving on to the other markings, she has tapered white dots above her eyes that resemble eye brows, as well as her muzzle, sporting a diminutive nose. With that, her neck, shoulders, back, and hind paws are also the creamy white color. The lower portion of her front legs are dark teal, and her tail is also this color. The end of said area also curves in a scythe-like way. Other than the normal aspects of a shiny purrloin, she also has a small scarf that she stole from a trainer about three months back. The color of the scarf is black with little red stripes.

Description:
A hot-head who is quick to anger but quite serious, Vivian though small, is someone you do not want to make angry. She is extremely brave and can be quite brave and determined but can be extremely gullible. Besides that Vivian is a bit more fluffy than your average Zubat, and even has a slight tuft of fur on the top of her head. In addition to this she has a slight muzzle along with larger than normal ears. Her color scheme is fairly normal, with that slightly steelish royal-blue fur with the inside of the wings and ears being royal purple. The only odd thing is she has a few purple dots on her torso and face that match her inside wing color.

History:
Vivian desperately wanted to see the light, but like all Zubat she was blind so to speak for Zubat see solely with echolocation. She agrees with trainers and stronger pokemon that Zubats are worthless, one of the reasons being there are so many of them. Zubats are the pests of the cave, like how Tentacool were pests of the ocean. Vivian figured if everyone was in paradise, it wouldn't matter if they were Pokemon or Human or Zubat. Her days were spent trying to level up at her home the Rock Tunnel, but she only defeated a few foes and managed to go up a few levels. She was no where close to the level where Zubats evolve into Golbat. However, she is quite joyous she didn't see the light, seeing what the consequences were. She still strives to evolve, hoping she can make it to a Crobat.
Personality:
Vivian is a bit of a hot head who is very easy to anger, and on top of this very serious and doesn't enjoy fooling around. She is quite easy to persuade if it involves her, sometimes making her come off as gullible. She doesn't give up easily, and will often try at something for hours even if she is 20 miles from the finish line. Sarcasm is a game she loves to play and this Zubat is not afraid to speak her mind. On top of this, Vivian hates to be wrong and will often make excuses for when she is. So to speak is the type of Pokemon that keeps her feet on the ground (Despite not having any and being a Flying type) and stays realistic, though many see her as being pessimistic. In tough situations she can remain determined and brave.

Avery has been a Gardevoir for a bit now, choosing his form over Gallade due to his preference of special attacks over physical. The only time he somewhat regrets his choice is when other people assume he is a female, or other males hit on him, even going as far as to say dirty things to him or try to feel him up. Of course this ussually leads to a punch in the face, and a ticked Avery having to explain how he is a male.
Avery grew up on a team of all girls (Meganium, Milotic, Beautifly, Delcatty, and Mawhile) with him being the only male, ironically. Even more ironic, each member of the team was a Pokemon that many if not most presume or prefer as a female. His trainer recieved her starter, a Chikorita, from Professor Elm, before moving to Hoenn and catching the rest of her team. Avery loves being a Gardevoir, though the only thing he despises is that others jump to the conclusion he is a female. Often he gets wolf whistles, flirted with, along with being called sexy and hot. Plus it doesn't help that his name is Avery, often seen as a girl name, even though it is unisex and derived from Alberich and Alfred.
On the day of the light, his trainer took all the girls to the carnival for games and fun, but Avery had no interest in there girly activities. He did however decide to walk around the place with the money his female trainer gave him.
When the light came, Avery blocked his eyes, cursing at how bright the object was. When it stopped he looked up, only to notice most everyone had disappeared.

Quick question, for the moves, are we only allowed to choose four? Technically, if this were realistic, the Pokemon would know every move since birth (excluding TM's, HM's, and egg moves)... I'm okay with four, I was just curious though. o3o This definitely looks interesting. I just pray it doesn't go too fast for me, because I am definitely a literate role player (I'm talking paragraphs, not... sentences, although I can tone it down...).
