impostor scurries over to the chest, much more rushed than its past visits. it knows vedaris will not be around, but looks around for the large worm just in case. it misses the unsettling creature.

it took a lot of work to keep the flowers safe through the wind; they’re missing a few petals, but otherwise in good shape. dropping them in front of the chest as usual, impostor huddles down and waits for it to react.
