How do you draw tabby stripes/stripes on animals in general?

i couldnt find anywhere that i was 100% percent sure that it was the place to post it so im going to ask here because im hopeless!! mods feel free to move/lock with guide to the correct place to ask as i couldnt figure it out lol! anyways, onto the question.

how in the stars do you draw tabby stripes and stripes on an animal in general??? i want to draw one of my characters BUT they have stripes and im hopeless with stripes they always look bad and just. not what i want. so yeah! how do???? a description is fine but a picture with notes is easier for me to comprehend lol!!! thank you so much in advance <3

Pardon the phone quality as I have no computer right now. I don't know if this will help but this is just a couple of ways I draw cartoon tabbies. You may want to add swirls on the side of your classic tabbies. Note tabbies have an M shape on the forehead but it's not necessary to keep that shape in cartoons.
