"So, how did you find this place?" Amaranth asked Dandelion as they led her and Benedict through the twisted vines and drooping branches of the oasis. Overhead, the storm raged on, the dull roar of rain a constant beneath their conversation. "Well, I guess I made it... I don't really remember how I got here, just that I have to tend to the plants, keep them growing..." Dandelion trailed off. Benedict gave his pink companion a curious look; a mage with a poor memory in a paradise in the sand. To break the silence, Amaranth replied "We're adventurers. We scavenge for loot- scrap, trinkets, relics. Anything interesting or that we can swap for food." At the mention of food, Benedict's stomach growled. "Oh, well, I've got plenty of fresh fruits and such to spare, um, if you would like!" Dandelion chirped, their voice still barely audible over the rain.
