Whitebird didn't move; just set his head on his paws.

"White bird, will you be my mate?' she asked.

Angel looked at her mom. " I don't think that my head is broken." She said, closing her eyes. " I don't know mommy." She said tiredly. " Just calm down.." Angel said. She put her paw on Fire's front paw and started howling a song her first mom used to sing to her.

Fire let Angel howl. She gently poked Angel's head until she found what seemed to be a crack. Gently, Fire spat out a poultice over the area, and covered Angel's head with cobwebs with one paw. She gently moved her other paw and pushed a poppy seed towards Angel with her nose. All the time, she let Angel howl the song.

Whitebird nodded. "Yes," he replied quietly.

Whitebird licked her cheek back and shut his eyes.

She laid down and slept.

Angel kept howling until she finished the song. Then she looked down. " What's that?" She asked, sniffing the seed.

"It's a poppy seed," Fire replied. "It eases pain and helps induce sleep. Now, what else hurts?" she asked. "Anything broken?" she asked, trying to keep the worry out of her tone.
