Pinepaw shuffled in their nest, grumbling under their breath at their noisy denmates, whose antics had disturbed their peaceful morning.
They stood and stretched, then slunk past the cats congregating at the den entrance, pausing to give Foxflower and Lionstrike respectful nods.
Eyes furrowed as the morning light hit them, they froze outside the apprentice den, blinking, before shaking themself as their eyes adjusted, and padding further into the camp to search for their mentor.

Thistletail was woken by the meows of his clanmates, and shook off his sleep as he watched them leave the den.
Yawning, he rose slowly from his nest, stepping carefully around the warriors still sleeping around him and out into the camp.
Paleblaze seemingly on top of patrols, Thistletail padded over to the medicine den, and called out to Leopardleaf.
"Hello, Leopardleaf! Need any help today?"

Yawning the one-eyed she-cat quickly washed her face and cleaned her russet fur, shaking it so the wind cooled her skin. She made another look around the clearing to see that most of the cats were gathering into a smaller to a bigger group, she could see that the patrols were going out soon. She looked at Frostmask there, walking toward the pale warrior "good morning Frostmask" she mowed to him with a smile.

She smiled at the handsome two-colored-eyed tom "Oh you sure found a good spot to have a sun bath" she purred then sighed "I could do, but maybe later, this is a nice day for patrols or training apprentice..." she meowed. Her eyes looked over t oIvypaw there once more before turning back to the tom.

He nodded to the leader "Oh I see, of course..." he meowed but didn't have time to say much anything else as the leader was already pon his way to Fogbite. He looked at him, then around the cleaning 'hunting patrol huh?' he thought spotting the Maplefall and Wolfchaser there "Good afternoon, do you have any plans for this morning?" he asked them "I am asked to organize a hunting patrol so if either of you or both of you are available to join it?" he meowed to them.

He looked around for any patrols, but so far it seemed like the patrols are forming out already. Stretching his legs he turned toward the fresh-kill pile "Good you're already taking your breakfast Daisypaw" he meowed to his apprentice with a smile. He gave a look at Ivypaw there as well "There seems to be plenty of prey to catch so do you maybe want to train some fighting moves today?" he asked his apprenitce.

She looked at her mentor rather awkwardly, giving a quick nod "oh okay, um yes I am coming" she meowed to him. She made a look toward the other apprentices there, before following after her mentor "Good morning Darknettle" she meowed to the dark-colored warrior. Her eyes looked over to Foxflower and Paleblaze too "Morning...are they coming too?" she asked rather confused.

He was hunting very late to the night, and eventually caught a hare, which could last to the morning too. He has buried the hare under some leaves near the den he was sleeping at, making sure the scent could not bring any unwanted visitors to him or steal his prey.

indentation Frostmask hadn't really been paying attention to the world around him, too lost in his own thoughts. Debating on what to take Whitepaw out on a patrol, or to do some battle training. Frostmask wasn't sure and had been thinking quite hard about it when he was startled out of it by Violeteyes voice. Hissing and teeth bared, the snow-furred tom's golden gaze snapped towards the voice, only pausing and slowly relaxing when he realized it was Violeteye. "Violeteye," He mewed gruffly, "what mouse-brained reason do you have to sneak up on me today?" Frostmask questioned with a droll glare.

indentation It wasn't a long wait - thankfully, they were lazy but they didn't like waiting - and they purred a wordless greeting as the older tom plopped down next to them. "I shall, one cannot allow their poor leader parading around looking like he ran through a bramble bush backward. It's unseemly." They meowed imperiously, though teasingly. They leaned over and started to draw their tongue over the nearest shoulder, a low purr rumbling in their throat. Fogbite was a lot of things, easy-going and playful, but they were also a procurer of secrets and dirty details. So Fogbite admittedly had an alternative motive to inviting - more like ordering - Phantomstar over so they could groom the tom.

indentation Bite. Chew. Swallow. Repeat. The apprentice patiently waited for Ivypaw to respond as she ate, only for the interaction to be disrupted by Bravefox. Her short stubby tail twitched in irritation before she turned her golden-yellow gaze to the tom. "Bravefox," She meowed returned in monotone. The Hickory tabby patched she-cat blinked at the toms... offer? Is he telling or asking? Gahhh, you can never tell with him. Mentally shaking her head the feline returned her attention back to her mentor, "Sure, am I going to learn something interesting then?" Daisypaw questioned, raising one whiskered brow.

indentation Silently the dark tom watched as Foxflower pad away to rouse her apprentice, before turning his gaze back to the others. He blinked at Winterpaws question and then looked over the group. Counting himself there would be six cat's on this border patrol. Rather large, even for a patrol, but he wasn't too upset over that. He'd been catching a few stranger's scents around the border - most of the scents had been blown over the border by the wind - so he'd figured a bigger patrol would be better just in case. "Good morning to you as well, Winterpaw." He murmured, "They are indeed coming as well." He glanced at Lionstrike frowning slightly, before returning his gaze to the apprentice, "I assure you there is a reason to having a patrol as big as this one."

Reaper awoke early, where the sun was jus peaking over the horizon. He padded out of his tree den, shaking his black coat out. He looked around the cool, foggy graveyard, making sure all was calm before searching for a meal. He soon landed on a plump young rabbit. He crouched low and made his way forward until he pounced, quickly silencing the cry that came from the rabbit. He made his way back to his den, rabbit his his jaws before tucking into his meal.

Phantomstar chuckled softly. "Of course not." He purred as he relaxed into Fogbite's grooming. Soft purrs slowly came from the dark colored tom as he closed his eyes, letting the weight of being leader just roll off his shoulders.

Maplefall smiled at Diamondstone. "Goodmorning Diamondstone." She purred in greeting. "Of course I'd love to join you on a hunting patrol."

Lionstrike padded back over at sat close to Darknettle and Winterpaw. He noticed Darknettle's looks at him and he couldn't understand why the dark colored tom didn't like him, but he didn't say anything. He just sighed and looked away, listening to what he was telling his Apprentice.

Ghostcry nodded. "One of the best spots in camp I believe." They said with a nod. "I agree it'll be Chilly but at least it seems prey is moving." They said glancing up at the she cat. "Ghost thinks they might hunt later today."

The white she-cat blinked open her eyes as the sun's rays crept far enough into the den to reach her nest. MoonShadow groaned quietly, trying to avoid the topic of waking up. She wasn't usually one to sleep in, but today something was different. She had actually dreamed of her family, well - at least her parents. The closeness of the dream, their fur touching her and their warmth almost had felt real, like she was a kit again snuggled up to her mother.

MoonShadow sighed, and hesitantly rose to her paws, she quickly gave herself a lick over to smooth out her fur before she made her way out of the warrior's den. She squinted as the sunlight filled her gaze, blinking until she adjusted. Once officially awake, and able to see where she was going. The warrior looked around camp to see if there were any patrols who needed another cat. She flicked her tail as she looked around, considered going to the prey pile before realizing she wasn't that hungry. From there she laid her eyes on a small group, including MapleFall, DiamondStone and WolfChaser. With a slight nod to herself she padded towards them.

As she approached, MoonShadow dipped her head in a friendly greeting to the group "Good morning everyone, have I missed anything exciting this morning?" she asked cheerfully.

Her one some-what good eye blinked at the toms reaction "wow wow sweetheart, don't be suck a grumpy, it's a beautiful day outside..." she meowed giving a little weak smile. She flicked her tail "just wanted to say good morning to you...I am sorry if I bothered you anyhow" she meowed a little quieter this time.

She nodded to the white tom "yeah, you're right about that, but this spot becomes very annoying too when all the apprentices are in camp and bored...you know what that means" she meowed with a laugh. She kept looking at him when she was much younger she found it always weird how he added the ghost always when he spoke, but now she was used to it and almost found it pretty cute "that's good...fresh-kill pile doesn't fill itself..." she meowed.

He gave a smile to Maplefall, looking at Wolfchaser too to have his approval too, but so far he seemed to be in his own world. He flicked his ears about the apprentice's words, sometimes he felt like just being her mentor disappointed her, but what could he do when Phantomstar thought that he could be ready for an apprentice "Is learning new things or practicing your already known skills better is always interesting...perfecting your skills make you closer to become a warrior..." he meowed to her. He made a look around "of course, we can train with some other apprentice as well...maybe Whitepaw or Ivypaw? the rest are busy going for patrols it seems" he meowed.

She gave the dark warrior a glare "what? me? why? Wolfchaser gave a stiff smile to Diamondstone, listening closely as he spoke of a patrol. He glanced quickly back towards the nursery, thinking of how his kits were still sleeping. However, he hoped they would be okay if he came back to see them later after his duties, knowing he would be back to give stories of how the patrol went. "I'm free to join as well. I should bring Pinepaw along as well." He answered, giving a small nod in greeting to Moonshadow.

The black tom spotted glanced around the clearing for Pinepaw, hoping to get some extra training in with them with this patrol. He spotted his apprentice by the den and trotted over to them. "Morning," He greeted gruffly, continueing without waiting for a response. "We have a patrol to go on, you prepared to join?" He questioned, not sure if his apprentice had time to wake up already.

Noticing Wolfchaser's approach, they bounded over, but stopped and looked down, embarrassed at their childishness, as the two met.
Pinepaw's eyes lit up at their mentor's meow, and they nodded to him happily. "I'm ready!" They meowed, standing up straighter. "Which patrol are we on?" They asked, glancing around at the two groups gathered in the camp.
With any luck, they thought, not the one they saw their denmates collected around. Pinepaw preferred being around the more experienced warriors.
