Uciel | Hunter | L-Pack | Tagging: Lucas | Location: Forest
The young Hunter hated to agree, but if he argued, he knew he would be wrong. They BOTH knew. "Maybe not," Uciel agreed. "But it’s not just her. What mother WOULDN'T put her child first?" Uciel remembered his mother putting his needs, however small, above her own without a second thought. She had DIED for him and had smiled at the end and died after living a life with no regrets. He wouldn’t wish a life of regrets on anyone. "It’s okay to cry, to be angry, or sad, or to grieve lost potential. But don’t let it tear you apart from the inside out, please." He gently nuzzled against his friend's cheek. Seeing Lucas like this nearly tore his own heart in half.
"Shadow would never make you leave. You had an issue with her kid, but as long as you didn’t try to take a chunk out of him for an argument, you haven’t broken Pack law, which means she has no grounds upon which to banish you. If you didn’t break law, and you’re still a loyal wolf, then she’d be a fool to even consider it. If she kicked you out…then I’d go with you, to be a Hunter and a Healer for both of us, so that we could both make it. Besides…" Uciel smiled faintly. "Even if things went sour today, I don't see Leo as the type to go tattling on others. He’d probably rather keep the argument between the wolves who were present than advertise it," he pointed out. At least, that was the Leo he knew, but who knew what Leo's true colours were after the fight today?
Poison his heart. Sometimes life felt that way in general, but if that was the case…then the poison had sunk in a long time ago, when he had loved and lost his parents. Uciel didn’t fear love, he was just cautious with it. I already did, he wanted to say, but Lucas had been through an ordeal. The last thing he needed was his other friend admitting he was in love and HADN'T been through a fight. Uciel liked to think he had a good head on his shoulders. Maybe socially slow, but a logical enough thinker to know when to say something and when not to. "I promise, I won’t let myself get hurt," he said, and even if the wolf he was in love with was an emotional wreck right now, he believed it. Even if Lucas rejected him the same way Leo had rejected Lucas, Uciel wouldn’t let it ruin his life. That said…for now, he would dream.
"You’re a good wolf too, Lucas, and don’t you dare doubt that for a moment, okay? Please? For me? I don’t entrust my heart to those not good at heart." Maybe Lucas could be aggressive, maybe he was a little reactive, but he wasn’t cold or cruel or harsh like Fire wolves, or even some of the more hardened Lightning Warriors. He was basically a toasted marshmallow. Hard and unbreakable on the surface, soft and squishy on the inside, and Uciel just wanted to cuddle him until it was better, but he knew that wasn’t how it worked.
"I’m not a full fledged Healer. I only knows bits and pieces from watching them in action or overhearing snippets of lessons," Uciel admitted. Something that had always made him sad, but there had been no spot available at the time he had been asked what he wanted to train for. "For nerves, yes, but it can’t fix your heart. They can give you something to relax the muscles, ease anxiety, maybe help you sleep if you just need to sleep it off and escape your thoughts for a little while. We can ask Terra." Uciel gently nudged his friend. "Let’s get you back to camp and set up with those herbs sooner rather than later, so you can feel just a little better than now."
Blizzard | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Mick | Location: Forest
Blizzard…honestly wasn’t sure what to make of this anymore. For the first little while, it had been easily handled. The next, a bit unpredictable. Now? Now this was just becoming the definition of overdramatic, and what Pack needed that kind of drama and self-loathing when right on the brink of war? Blizzard wasn’t the calmest wolf in the entire world or anything, but he was more mellow than that. Mellow enough he had a decent enough head on his shoulders to tell when something had just become too much. He touched his nose to Mick's shoulder.
"Mick, look at me. Breathe." Blizzard slowly breathed in and out, trying to prompt Mick to breathe with him. "It doesn’t do anyone any good to panic, including yourself. There’s no reason to beat yourself up over a mistake. Everyone makes them. Just move forward, and learn from it," he insisted.
Arian | Lead Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Erle, Kazue | Location: Border
"We're almost done. Then you can speak with Alpha, and I’ll organize some sparring between Warriors, and see if there’s any Trainees who need time with their trainers." Arian quite honestly didn’t remember, there were so many wolves in the Pack, and she herself had no Trainee— much to her chagrin— but she couldn’t remember any youngsters being trained specifically as Warriors, mostly it seemed Hunters. So the sparring would have to be between full-fledged Warriors, go keep their skills sharp as ever and hone their favoured techniques.
