Ogh, I have so many types... but probably my favorites are:

-Buff/strong ladies, especially who are kind and/or rambunctious (Noi from Dorohedoro, MY DEARLY BELOVED)

-Characters who are stoic, strict, generally just hard to read and probably scary/intimidating but really caring and protective of the ppl they care about, and/or of like animals and kids and stuff in general (sorry in advance but Mori from Ouran I KNOW it's a bad show but he literally strikes this trope dead on. Sighs.)

-Gentle giants in general... I cannot get enough of them... They own my heart......

-I also have an emotional attachment to like tragic clowns? Comic relief characters with tragic backstories or something, or in general who go through a hard time. (Peter Quill is kind of an example? I think Richie Tozier from IT qualifies as a pretty good example, too.)

-Lumped in with above, any character who seems dumb/incompetent/is kind of brushed aside, who is like, nice and accepting until Uh Oh! They're Sick Of It! is just 👌👌👌👌👌👌 a vibe honestly!!!!! It's not a trope that's used enough for me to think of specific examples rn though. I think Touta Matsuda from Death Note is enough of a favorite and falls close enough to this that I'm going to count him, though.

i am a big softie for characters with animalistic features, characters that have good color palettes, and sweet and kindhearted characters! i also like "villainous" characters, but the type of villains that steal candy from babies and for the most part are not much of a threat to others (think giovanni potage from epithet erased)

I always create male MC's who are loyal, stupidly daring and sacrificial, can get along with girls and guys, are particularly hated by the villain, are wild partiers but somehow don't do questionable things because of setting an example for kids, have PTSD but try to tough themselves through it, are concerned about the villain's moral well-being, just "pure" in general but also "crazy"... Yeah I definitely have a "type". Idk but this is probably subconsciously the type of guy I would like to end up with.

characters with a helmet on and can demolish things easily (see: doomguy, ranger from quake, soldier from tf2)
if only one applies it works too. like the stig from top gear or like. uhhhh caleb from blood 1997 and heavy from tf2!
i love strong and well-developed characters. it makes my brain happy.
