Enui's eyes narrowed slightly at Archer's explanation - though it sounded like a Trainee's excuse more than anything.
"Well, which was it this time? I would not think that you were so bold as to joke light-heartedly with such disrespect before your Alpha, but if it was a mere phrase, a slip of the tongue, if you will, well... We all make mistakes." She said, her tone implying that she only saw Archer himself as the one who had made the mistake she was mentioning.

She didn't get to hear a reply for the wolf stalked away, leaving behind Cartel and Max. Enui was turning her head towards Max to reply to him when he addressed her, only to see another wolf, Canary, slowly approaching behind Cartel. She sighed through her nose. Choosing to ignore Canary for the time being, as the she-wolf had yet to speak, she gave her full attention to her Alpha.

"I am coming to see if I can do anything to aid you, my Alpha. If I am best used for patrols, I will go along, but I should like to see that you are also doing well." She paused. "I would not think otherwise, of course. I do not wish to imply anything." She added.

Storm offered a pleasant grin at Aala, before she turned her attention forward. There was only so many times she could hear about how the pair was so happy to have her along before she started thinking they were being sarcastic. She trotted ahead, beckoning the duo behind her to follow with a flick of her tail and wiggle of her ears.

"Karter! You should think of something for us to all talk about while we're walking." She said suddenly. "Else it'll be boring and weird to walk in total silence and it'll be your fault for not coming up with something." She added, for extra encouragement.

Angel | Lightning Hunter | Location: Camp --> Forest | Tagging: Waterlilies, Blizzard, Mick

Angel turned his gaze from Blizzard to Mick with a smile that could have been perceived as friendly... or daunting.
"Oh, don't get your fur in a tangle, Mick." He replied, but when Mick stalked off ahead of them, Angel had little problem with sidling up next to Blizzard. "Well, he certainly seems a testy sort. If you ever need to vent, I hope you know I'm always someone you can come vent to. I like to think I can be full of good advice and, I'm a trusty packmate. Who better to turn to, right?"

Rya | Huntress | Lightning | Location: Forest | Tagging: Leo, Louve, Lucas

Rya got lost in her thoughts once another she-wolf appeared she was as white as Leo. From the vague sentences she heard her name was Louve. The brown and cream she-wolf had heard the name before it seemed as it was a rather popular wolf or more like a social one unlike herself. While rya was dark and living most of her life alone Louve was surrounded with people with her snow colored pelt. Somewhat Rya did envy her, not to have that many people around but the fact that she was able to communicate well enough to keep people interested in her. The four year old mind got even busier when a third wolf appeared. This time is had a golden pelt with yellow eyes, she didn't know him. Lucas was the name used by the others. They seemed to all be talking about walking around the borders. It scared Rya a bit as those borders where the ones that created all the chaos. But most importantly, the poor female didn't even remember where the borders where. It was a big reason why she was always so carefull when hunting and trying her best to stay close to the packs camp when fufilling her duty. It was though to make a decision to the point that the female completely closed herself up, to busy thinking, that she even didn't hear the rest of the conversation. At the end, she decided that it was best for her to follow silently like she would when working with others. Realizing the others went on early she trotted a bit to catch up but stayed behind without a word, half-listening to their conversation and half listening to the surroundings.

Louve allowed her head to turn left to right, scanning for anything out of the ordinary. Her nose did not pick up anything so far and so she continued along silently for a few moments before she paused to look around the group. “Should we check the first scent marker and walk along the border, or did you guys want to go exploring further into our territory? Either way, I don’t mind but we wouldn’t have time to do both just in case we are needed back at camp. Correct me if I’m wrong though” She spoke, taking note that Rya had joined them, indeed catching up quite easily.

Blizzard | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Mick, Angel, Waterlilies | Location: Camp


Confusion flickered through Blizzard. Perhaps there had been momentary tension, but it had dissipated several minutes ago by the time Angel spoke. However, he chose not to remark on it, even with as many sarcastic responses as he could think of. Blizzard had plenty of tension with various wolves, he didn’t need to add to the list. So he only tensely dipped his head, nodding towards the camp entrance.

"You’re right," Blizzard agreed, glancing at Waterlilies. As much as he hated it, Waterlilies had a good point about Fire Pack. "I don’t trust the fact that our enemy has been so…quiet in the past week or so. The break has been nice, but I’d rather have an enemy I can see. Let’s get moving, check things out." His gaze shifted back to Angel as they headed for the camp entrance. "Heh…well, it’s my job to keep our Packmates as safe as possible, and that’s exactly what I intend to do." At the commentary regarding venting, Blizzard chuckled. "I don’t think there’s a wolf around who could argue," he agreed.


Arian | Lead Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Erle, Kazue | Location: Border


Arian glanced briefly at Kazue. She wasn’t as worried about him as she was about Erle, truth be told, but she also knew Erle enough to know that with firm orders in place, Erle would respect the orders of his superiors. She didn’t know enough about Kazue to be able to tell one way or the other for him on that matter.


Leo | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Lucas, Rya, Louve | Location: Camp


Leo…certainly wasn’t sure how to react to the sibling comment, even if it was said all in good fun, as he expected. Especially given 1. He did have a sibling who still lived within the Pack— even if he didn’t get as much time with her as he may like, he was busy with his duties and she was busy with her training— and it wasn’t Louve, and 2. Louve was the wolf he was romantically interested in. So he awkwardly dropped his gaze. "Heh…I think siblings would definitely not be a great relationship for us," he noted.

In all honesty, Leo was kind of surprised— and maybe a little worried about the fact— that Louve neither acknowledged nor was fazed by the comment. That came off as a bit rude. He didn’t remark on it though. There was no need to stir up any kind of trouble. Not over a joke or idle chitchat. There were more important battles to fight.


Max | Alpha | F-Pack | Tagging: Enui, Patrol | Location: Camp


Max would’ve brushed it off. He’d heard more offensive things in his life, but before he could step in, Archer had taken his leave. Probably a good thing too, with at least one hunting group heading out from the looks of it. Kass, Serafina, and Tendril. A group with some good heads on their shoulders, even if they were still quite young and inexperienced for the most part. He didn’t miss the approach of the patrol. Móraín and Canary, from the looks of it, but given neither had spoken yet to him directly, he suspected they were there to collect Cartel.

"Canary, Móraín, good to see you two. Given patrols are headed out, I suspect I know what you’re here for. If you’re here for Cartel to take out the patrol, by all means." The wolf had been sitting there in silence for a long time now, like he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to say, and who could blame him, with the arrival of so many wolves all at once? With that said, the Alpha returned his attention to Enui.

"No implication taken," Max promised. So many of their wolves were so casual even amongst higher ranks, Enui was one of the odd ones out though, and in a way, it was something Max was thankful for. Someone who had clear respect for the hierarchy. "I see two patrols already being sent out, and a hunting group's headed out, so why don’t you grab yourself something to eat from the pile and come join me? No sense in starting the day on an empty stomach."

Awkwardness washed over Karter. He had always been more of the type to either jump in at a random moment, or otherwise follow in silence. He was never the type to be particularly social. He hadn’t been since he was a pup. MAYBE a young Trainee. So being put on the spot like that? He came up completely blank, and only stared blankly at Storm for a moment, then glanced at Aala, but for once, no backup.

"Uh…" Karter trailed off, staring straight ahead as not to have to look at either of his friends in his moment of awkwardness. "Okay. Well…I hear Shadow's plannin' on appointin' Leads and Beta soon. Any guesses on who she might pick?" He asked. Hopefully that was a topic that’d occupy them for a while. He knew it was on many minds.

indentation Bian was silent as the she-wolf's awnsers slowly trickled into her ear like droplets of rain on a cool spring day. She wasn't all that surprised that the two had different idea's, different wants. It didn't bother her much, it wasn't like they would end up as mortal enemies because of it. Humming softly the she-wolf paused for a heartbeat to take a shallow bite of clean snow, letting it melt in her mouth before they swallowed it. "I'm quite the opposite honestly," They said after clearing their throat. "I don't think I ever want to take on a trainee, unless things are dire. Most trainee's I've found are quite excitable, and I don't have a lot of patients for that mischief." They admitted with a soft exasperated chuckle.

They added softly, grimacing as it brought them back to the drama with their parents. Shaking their head to clear their mind of such thoughts, the lupine's ears perked, then smiled. "As for a higher rank, while I wouldn't say no to being the new Lead Hunter, I'd have to say no to Beta. Beta would be too much stress for me personally, and I'd honestly miss hunting too much." Bian said with a soft laugh and a slight shake of their head. The wolf was unfortunately brought out of their laughter when the stink of the Raccoon got nearly unbearable to her senses. "I think, we've just about found our prey." They murumered in a near whisper.

indentation A single whiskered brow lifted as Arian's voice rumbled in his ears, but nodded his acceptance. While a warrior skilled in the art of battle, Kazue preferred peace to any battle. Unless said peace is surrounded by subterfuge, and other dirty tricks. He mused, then it isn't real peace, only a pretty fabrication. The Lupin forced a frown away as both Arian and Erle glanced at him, as if checking on him. Though he did snort, Yes, check up on the old guy, even if Erle is literally the same age as me. Kazue thought as he rolled his eyes. "I'm good with that, no need to stir the water." He affirmed as he padded after the two bringing up the rear.

They looked up at Max, dipping their head respectful and replied "yes Alpha, we're here to collect Cartel" they glance over to Enui and dips their head for acknowledgment that she was there, and turns her glaze onto Cartel "come on Cartel, we need to get moving" they say

Lucas tilted his head towards Leo's statement, eyeing his friend with a growing sense of unease. If a sibling relationship wasn't what Leo wanted with Louve, based on their closeness... He swallowed a lump forming in his throat. Surely Leo couldn't be implying something else, right? Leo would tell Lucas, if he had romantic feelings towards any wolf, right?

But... Leo had been gone for a few months. Maybe in that time, he'd become more secretive about things like this.
I'm going to have to tell him soon. He thought.

He offered Louve and Rya a smile as they approached, with Louve going on ahead - having not said a thing about his remark and Rya just recently approaching. Lucas was relieved about Louve's silence - maybe it meant that she didn't agree with Leo's argument - maybe Louve only saw Leo as a sibling? Please, let that be the case. He thought, before he hurried closer to Leo's side.

"L-Leo," He began. "After this walk, can we talk? About, um, relationships?" He asked outright. "About our relationship?" He added quickly.

"Go on, then." Max's gaze shifted briefly towards Cartel as he was addressed. From the looks of it, Canary had been left in charge of the patrol. A wise choice. Canary had the experience and wisdom required of a leader, even if they still had their youth and didn’t have as much seniority as some. "Report back any findings to me afterwards, or lack thereof, if our luck holds." While he wanted to encourage his Pack, Max would much rather be fighting. This war wasn’t over until someone had won, and at the moment, they were at an impasse. Neither side was starting a fight, and so neither side could win.

Arian dipped her head, the gesture curt and tense despite the words that followed. "Good, then I’m glad to hear it." The mottled Warrior liked her Packmates well enough for the mostpart, but Arian was not a wolf who trusted easily. Especially during a time of war, she’d lived by the philosophy that she could afford to trust only a select few wolves, even amongst their own ranks. It was never anything personal.

Karter couldn’t help a quiet chuckle. Of course. There were so few wolves around who would turn down such a position, being put in a place of honour and trust by the Alpha, but Aala had always seemed happy where she was, satisfied with her work as the Pack's Scout. He wasn’t surprised she would turn it down, even if he himself would never dream of turning down such a promotion. He slowly breathed out. "I’m not surprised. We're glad for the work you do."

Worry flickered through Leo. Relationships was one thing. He was fine to chat about it, but chatting about the status of their relationship? His heart sank. Had he done something wrong? He took a shaky breath and slowly exhaled, blue gaze sliding towards his friend. Lucas was his best friend. What would he do if that stopped being a thing? "Do you…" his gaze snapped away. "Did I do something wrong? I didn’t mean to if I did. Do you…um…not like me anymore? If that’s the case, just say so now so I don’t have to worry about it."
