Laurelstar frowned, then tired to hide it, but knew she couldn’t take it back. She embraced the safest challenging statement she could make. “ I never failed an assessment, but I did struggle to learn the ways of a warrior at first. It came to a surprise to me that my ancestors would choose me to leader, but there is hidden potential in so many. I just worry about missing out on the best I can have. I’m not to fond of missing out on an opportunity. It’s quite annoying to miss out on them, isn’t it?” Laurelstar sat up, confident in words, though less confident in if she was making a bad move. In the end, she knew she would make whatever happened work for her.
“It’s fully understandable, I have my own qualms about it, but I I’m holding out faith that my leader will keep things managed.” Owlfleck shifted her feet awkwardly, but decided she could test the waters with drizzlespeck. “The arrangements of my clan are a thing that most would find questionable to say the least. But I believe we all do what we must to get by I suppose.” Owlfleck waited to gauged the toms discomfort. She could switch topics if he was weary, but could continue on if he was not.

the large turkish van tom-cat couldn't help but feel happy that this tom also was from a clan that had two leaders; it was so nice to be conversing with someone that sort of related to him in this way, versus some of the other clans who thought it was preposterous to have more than one leader or split their shared extra lives instead of hoard them for themselves. his lime green eyes followed where the other tom was gesturing, his eyes locking on the silver bengal molly that was being referred to briefly, before returning his gaze to the tom before him, tilting his head to the side lightly to show that he was listening. "i have heard of some clans having a pair of leaders who are mates - i suppose thats where pocketclan differs. palkia is my equal in every way but she is actually more like a daughter to me than anything else. i'm more of the logical one whereas palkia is more of the emotional one; we balance each other quite well." he also began to groom himself peacefully as he felt calm with the other cats presence, following as he did the same. "it sounded as though it was a disagreement about starting a family. krookodile can be very hot-headed and is known for his temper, but the one cat he has never gotten into a fight with before was musharna. but she said she wasn't ready for them to take that next step towards kits yet and it seemed to set him off.

the little molly had to huff as a strong breeze blew one of her floppy ears down over one of her eyes, and when several hard blows weren't strong enough to blow it back, she annoyingly swatted at her ear with one of her paws until it lay in the right place again, so she could see the other apprentice. she gave a slightly embarrassed smile as she realized the other molly couldn't have missed her actions, but hoped it wouldnt come across as immature or anything. sometimes her mothers ears were a nuisance. she was also beyond glad that this other molly seemed smart enough to follow along with what she said about her clan, grateful she didn't have to waste her time delving into an even deeper or more complicated answer. "honestly, i haven't thought too much about it yet, i only have learned two of my six skills so far, so i still have a way to go. tell me, whats your clan like?"
Hollystar padded away from her clanmates, glancing around at the cats around her. Her tail flicked with excitement, looking forward to talking with other cats.
Tsunamibite was softly grooming himself, keeping one eye on the gathering at all times, making sure he didn't miss the chance to talk with any familiar friends.
The bicolor cat nodded, "We have about 160 cats in Tundraclan! Some of the knights are so clumsy, it's a blessing we have so many healers." he chuckled. "Being a healer is tough work, so it's commendable how excited you are! I've seen a lot of births- luckily, I haven't had to deal with any kits who pass away. I always make sure to bring as many herbs as possible to the kitting in case they're needed!"
Wisteriaflight yawned, his jaws gaping wide. His eyes began to water but he shook his head, looking tiredly around the gathering. The Birman sat down, looking around for any interesting cat to talk with.
Emblempaw let out a sigh of relief, “Thank the ancestors! Pumpkinfright was sleeping a few days ago and Peachflower was grooming Blizzardkit and it looked so difficult! Fur everywhere!” she laughed. Crestpaw rolled her eyes playfully at her sister. Failnaughtfire purred in gratitude at the queen, “They’d really appreciate seeing them- thank you, Sloe.”
Smokescreen padded a bit more slowly than her clanmates due to her old age. The Nebelung saw Cockroachstar and Hollystar walking together, loving purrs emitting from both, and she felt a pang in her heart, remembering how she had no cat to love. She sighed and padded towards the clearing, before joining a few other cats who were talking excitedly.

the shorthair bengal could not help but admire the way the young molly spoke of her own experiences with tension within her clan; she came across as very wise and articulate, like a cat more close to his age than her own. "i completely understand, and i have to agree with you. more cats, but less eyes looking directly at you with scrutiny." he had a feeling that they spoke of different experienced within their roles in their clans, but he still felt a connection due to this simple phrase. "i'll be honest with you oceanlight. i have a bit of a hard time controlling my anger. i have the name that i do because i was named after one of the animals in our territory that is known for its bad temper and terrifying strength. most cats tend to avoid me, unless they purposefully are trying to pick a fight, so everyone sort of watches me like i'm going to snap at any second. hardly anyone knows why i am the way that i am, because of my past, but no one seems to care enough to hear it; they see what they want to see and judge me for it, labeling me a hot-head."

the large turkish van tom-cat couldn't help the way that this other leader made him feel so comfortable in his presence; he had been very worried about coming to the gathering and just being awkward or seen as rude for his typical lack of relatively connective social skills. he had been concerned that he would accidently cause a rift between his clan and some other clan due to his struggles with making simple small talk; he would normally send that kind of task off to his counter-part palkia, because she was the friendly and bubbly one of their pairing. "oh, tell me about your daughter, i would love to learn about her. i don't yet have any kits myself, but palkia is someone i would consider a daughter to me. i found her when she was only 2 moons old, and i was just a regular warrior. she was hiding underneath her parents bodies; they had been attacked by a pair of dogs shortly before our patrol found them. we were too late to save her parents, but the second i saw her, i knew i had to save her, and we've been close ever since." the tom couldn't help the small smile of pride as he thought back on all of the moons that had passed since then, and all of the times he had been proud watching the little molly grow. "i believe it will be alright, but it will take time. musharna has a rough past; she has an older kit that she had to separate from. her entire family split up and joined different clans for various reasons; i don't know the full story. i'm not sure if musharna worries that if her kit finds out, they will feel like she is replacing them, or of krookodile's intentions are really pure and he just wants to start their own family. he can be a bit of a jealous tom."
