cloudytree and thistle start preparing for battle with the rogues. the clan does not know about thistle, and cloudytree is hesitant to tell the clan about him. she tells the clan battle is soon- prepare.

peach has had her kits at this time. of the four born, none survive. peach is distraught and going through extreme depression. and thorn does not help his mate out at all. peach knows cloudytree is a spy and begs the ginger tabby to bring her to the safety of tundraclan. cloudytree worries about thorn’s reaction to his mate missing. peach dips her head towards a pregnant seal colorpoint, murmuring how after the deaths of her kits thorn found someone new. someone who could give him strong heirs. cloudytree takes peach to tundraclan to join, keeping the queen out of all harms way.

The current season is leaf-fall! You can tell because the leaves are changing colors, and it's starting to get chilly! Because of the chill it's a little easier for cats to fall ill, and births will become a little more difficult. You'll also find less prey and new cats on patrols, as they're focusing on finding a place to keep warm for the upcoming leafbare season.

Hunting
✧ Sweethen brought back x1 hare while the rest of the patrol caught x1 mouse, x2 small fish, x1 rabbit, and x1 bird.
✧ Bouvreuilwing's patrol caught x1 hare, x1 stoat, and x1 small fish. However, while chasing a rabbit, Fogsigh made the mistake of ducking into the rabbit warren after his prey. Though his patrol-mates tried to call Fogsigh back to join the group, the young cavalier was caught up in the heat of the moment, too eager to continue the chase that he didn't realize that the hole led to a dead-end. With no where else to turn, the rabbit turned on Fogsigh and lashed out, scoring its claws across Fogsigh's face. Quickly, the patol manage to get Fogsigh out of the warren, but it's too late when they get back to camp, as Wolfwhiskers assesses the injury and decides that a severe infection has already set in. Soon after, Fogsigh succumbs to the infection and joins ChessClan's ancestors...

"No! My humans brought him in for a day, we had a nice time, and I guess it wasn't what they wanted. I don't know WHAT they wanted! He was sweet, his name was Tripoli." Bridges muses. Both she and Azul bounce off one another's flanks. They've taken to each other like birds to the sky.
"Bizarre. My human did no such things. He only let me into the house." Azul walks shoulder to shoulder. Both cats are massive, the largest in the Alliance aside from Ghost. But they could not see Ghost so they are instead the largest. Each stood a whole head higher than Green Tea, and an ear-length higher than Blackberry Sugar. For former housecats, they were fit as could be.
"Was he kind? I never understood my humans, and they didn't play with me often, but they did take good care of me. Some of the strays said their humans were evil, but I don't think that's a large amount. I'm sure there's terrible ones! But.. I don't know. Maybe I'm naive."
"No, no, I think it's simply a mix. We cannot understand one another, you know? They seem like beasts to us... I'm sure we seem like beasts to them. But yes, my human was kind. The others called him Johannes, he was a kind old human with black fur on his head."
"Why did you leave him, then?" Bridges asks, tilting her head.
Azul turns his gaze to the distance. Murkiness fills his eyes.
"I didn't. I was taken from him and abandoned. I don't know where I am, not one bit. I suspect his daughter did it. She never liked me when she came to our den. Hissed and kicked at me. He never stood for it. I remember her scent, though. It clung to my fur when I woke up on the side of a carpath. She took me away." He stops to paw at his collar. It's immaculate for however long he's been out here, Bridges notes, unlike her own, which she's tried to remove from time to time. She turns and circles him.
"I'm so sorry..." she says, taking a breath and licking his shoulder. "I'm sure he misses you a great deal." Azul looks back to her, the murkiness starting to fade.
"Thank you. I like to think so..."

as summer gives way to colder weather, your clans can expect to see a decrease in prey and an increase
in danger. predators may become more desperate during this time. while the likelihood of dehydration
goes down, cats who aren't careful on patrols might face more serious risks. inside the camp, medicine
cats will find less herbs and kittings will become more difficult. cats who go out on too many patrols
will also face possible illnesses, as well.

• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries

• glacierlily's patrol caught x1 bird, x1 snake, and x1 vole.
• hootwhisper's patrol caught x1 fish and x1 rabbit.
• fallowmoon's patrol caught x1 squirrel, x1 bird, and x1 lizard. however, nettlefang sustained a minor infection after scrapping his shoulder and opening a cut that went untreated for too long. nettlefang will need to take x1 moon of rest or risk the infection spreading.

• smogtongue's patrol passed uneventfully.
• desmodus's patrol encountered an adult-aged cat looking for a new home to find shelter before the upcoming cold seasons ahead.

• grayrain's patrol managed to successfully drive the fox out of the clan's territory. however, during the battle, willowdancer, lantanabud, and chitonprance sustained several injuries while they worked hard to defend their clanmates. willowdancer received several scratches which will require x1 moon of rest to heal. meanwhile, lantanabud suffered from more severe bleeding which will need to be treated with x2 marigold and x1 moon of rest. finally, chitonprance sprained his forepaw and will need x1 stinging nettle, x1 rush, and x1 moon of rest.
• chiffon's patrol found an apprentice-aged cat wandering the territory, lost and hungry without a home of their own.

• gooseglare's patrol gathered x1 foxglove seeds, x1 raspberry leaves, x1 goatweed, x1 elder leaves, x1 willow bark, and x1 alder bark.

• grainpaw passed and learned a skill. however, in her efforts to prove her strength and abilities, she caught her paw in a tree root, and she let out a yowl of pain. when she returned to camp, gooseglare determined that grainpaw broke her paw when she twisted it in the tree root. she will need to be treated with x1 poppy seeds, x1 rush, x1 stinging nettle, and x3 moons of rest.
• murkpaw passed and learned a skill this moon. however, while running, he stumbled after his paw was caught in a rabbit burrow. he sprained his paw and will need to be treated with x2 rush and x2 moons of rest.
• all of the other apprentices passed and learned their respective skills.

assessment results
• flybackpaw and bonnetpaw put up their best efforts during their assessments. however, it seems that they were too tired after spending a day out herb hunting. both flybackpaw and bonnetpaw failed their assesssments, but they can try again next moon.
• onyxpaw, whimbrelpaw, and apricotpaw passed their assessments and are ready to be named as full members of the celestial beings.
