"A... professional scavenger, you say," Lennox murmured, unimpressed.

"Ehehehe-- yep!" The strange werm squeaked, scratching at one ear. "I know all the good spots in that lab, too. Spent my whole life there, you see, so you're lucky to have me!"

Anton stumbled. This werm was interesting, to say at the least. "Why'd you wanna join us, then? If we're so lucky?"

The strange werm-- Nix, it had introduced itself as-- paused, cheerful expression falling flat.

"I'm very lonely."

Oh. Oh wow, that was sad. Anton immediately felt guilty and wrapped his tail around Nix's shoulders. "Well I don't think you're lying, since you got us that hoodie, so... you know the area best. Lead the way back to the lab, if you want?" Anton offered the best reassuring expression his face plates would allow. "And! Welcome to the team."

extra: Sheldon was so happy to have Sunny home that he considers pulling them into his arms with a big ol' hug, but on the other hand Sheldon values his life enough to not try anything like that. Instead, Sheldon held up the two other broken games. Sunny's sour expression changed and they grabbed up the games at once, clicking every button as if checking to make sure they worked.
"Enough of this mush, let's get outta here!"
Hemlock grabbed Sheldon by the collar, reaching out to do the same to Sunny. They hissed, covering the games with their tail.
"Keep your paws away from me."
Sheldon was shaking in his (metaphorical) shoes, watching the two wermz stare each other down. Eventually, Sunny cracked a smile and Sheldon couldn't believe his eyes.
"What are we waiting for then?"
Sunny and Hemlock joked back and forth as Sheldon led them into the Outskirts for another scrounge around.
