the territories are in full bloom during the hottest time of the year. prey is bountiful during
this time of the year, and herbs can be found in abundance. kittings will be handled smoothly,
and cats are still around who might be in need of a new home. however, predators are also
fond of the warm weather, and cats who overwork themselves may find themselves suffering
from dehydration and exhaustion.

TUNDRACLAN ▬ selkirks
- hunting results
• duckleap's patrol caught x1 duck, x1 tundra vole, x1 stoat, and x1 hare.
• emberleap's patrol caught x1 lemming and x1 hare.
• silksky's oatrol caught x1 raven, x1 duck, x1 weasel, and x1 lemming.
border patrol results
• alerted to the arctic fox on their territory, cedarshade's patrol set out to chase it away. the fox was clearly enjoying the greenleaf weather and wasn't in any hurry to find a new den, though it quickly became overwhelmed as the tundraclan cats descended. after a brief fight, the fox finally turned tail and ran away, and cedarshade declared victory for tundraclan before the group returned home where mikey and eiderpuddle could have their wounds healed. mikey sustained several minor scratches that will require x1 cobweb or x1 moon of rest to heal. eiderpuddle also received several scratches, but these were much deeper than originally anticipated. eiderpuddle will need x1 cobwebs, x1 marigold, and x1 poppy seeds as well as x3 moons of rest to recover.
• terrabite's patrol found x2 pebbles and a lost kit, who claims to have been separated from their family. coalstep offers to take the kit back to camp, and his presence seems to have calmed the young kit.

herb hunting results
• the healers gathered x1 bright-eye, x1 cobweb, x1 feverfew, x1 water hemlock, x1 marigold, x1 lovage, and x1 rush.
training results
• batpaw and hauntpaw failed to learn a skill this moon.
• emblempaw failed to learn offense after receiving several minor scratches. she will need x1 moon of rest to ensure that the scratches don't become infected.
• cookiepaw failed to learn climbing this moon. while trying to climb to a higher branch, she was startled by a nearby squirrel. in her moment of panic, cookiepaw lost her balance and fell several branches down, where she found a grip on another branch. however, during the fall, she received several deep scratches from the swinging branches, and she will need to be treated with x1 stinging nettle, x1 dock, and x2 moons of rest.
• beepaw passed and learned swimming. however, he scratched his paw on a sharp stone while climbing onto shore, and the wound became infected soon after. it will need to be treated with x1 chervil, x1 wild garlic, and x1 moon of rest.
• charcoalpaw also passed and learned swimming, but soon began to complain of a pain in his ears. the healers got to work assessing what might be causing the issue and determined that charcoalpaw received an ear infection from water in his ear. he will need to take x1 moon of rest while they treat the infection.
• the rest of the weaklings passed and learned their respective skills.
assessment results
• citruspaw passed and is ready to be welcomed as a full member of tundraclan. however, before he received several scratches during his assessment, which continued to bleed while the healers worked to get his ready for his naming ceremony. before citruspaw can go out on knight missions, he will need to take x1 moon of rest to heal.
mates & families
• monarch is expecting sunflowerseed's kits and will return in 2 moons to drop the kits off in tundraclan.
camp event
• because catvoid went out on patrol and didn't rest this moon, the scratches received last moon began to open again, and wisertiaflight determined that catvoid will need x1 cobweb and x1 additional moon of rest.
• likewise, hauntpaw also received a stern word of warning from the healers after training instead of resting. hauntpaw's wrenched claw began to bleed and became infected from not healing properly. hauntpaw will need to take an additional x1 moon of rest and be treated with x1 marigold.

- hunting patrol results
• the hunting patrol manages to successfully catch x1 field mouse. they also bring back x1 large carcass that they found on the way back to camp.
border patrol results
• as fox continues to explore the surrounding area, she pauses as a strange, scratching sound reaches her ears. after a moment of waiting and listening, she goes to investigate, finding an adult-aged cat digging a small hole. fox watches the cat for a moment longer, puzzled, before the cat sits up and asks if she's just going to stand there and watch, or if she'll help them dig up pebbles. perhaps solely because she was bemused by the encounter, or because she might befriend another ally in this strange land, she agrees and the pair dig up x8 pebbles before fox has the chance to offer the stranger assistance and a home. the cat rejects fox's offer of the cobwebs, telling her to save them for another day, but they do agree to join fox and the others as a new member of the clan.
