I could see him being an animated lead in a cool series! The lizard and goggles stand out most to me, they're super cool and recognizable! Only thing that seems off to me is the brown boots, as there isn't any brown like that anywhere in the design, and you've already got quite a few strong colors competing (and working out nicely). I think having the lab coat look more layered would be cool, like having a visible shirt or sweater underneath it? That may just be my fondness for overly complicated designs talking. While not exactly my style, he's a lovely character. ^^

Lives in the future where humans have fled to another planet, one unable to sustain animal life on its own. Things have advanced past the point of needing them, so instead a few animals are kept in small zoos as novelties while robotic animals are left to decorate the desolate planet environment rather than actually trying to find ways for real animals to thrive.

Poacher hunts these robot animals and sells the parts as scrap. Really loves non-robot animals though and wants to raise money to open his own reserve with everything a small ecosystem would need. Really loves bodymods like piercings and tattoos.

I like the idea behind the world he lives in!! It sounds so cool, I hope he gets to open up his little reserve one day
I'm a fan of human with animal traits designs and his paws are just so cool, and I really like his overall design. However, what feels a little out of place is the blue-gray of his metallic bits, especially since his bracelets are more gold/brass, though with those being the animals in his world, it makes sense. I'm also not a fan of the snake neck tattoo (?), the scales rival with his other spots, and the solid color background looks a bit off to me. I think it'd be cooler if the snake was potentially more of a chest-piece, and wrapped up and around his neck as well?
I also think it would be fun if he had some sort of tail, as another strap on his pants, sort of Chat Noir style hehe

Solid design, simple but pleasing to look at ! I love the outfits and extra choices on the ref, though personally I am not a fan of the spotted pattern on the legs, would maybe work well with other spots added in other places ? Just my preference, still a cute oc !

And absolutely splendid hyena design, the colours used work so well together and make the eyes pop. I also love seeing more trans characters out there! The expressions on the sheet feel very real and it's a good insight into the character.

Ok i gotta admit that's really not my colors right here, BUT im rating from a point as objectively as possible, and its just a fact that these colors go really really well together. The warm orange and cool teal create an exciting contrast for the eyes, and the swirly markings look extremely cool and add a lot of memorability to the design! I absolutely LOVE the eye color and anatomy here , that's my vibe, especially with the hair-like mane and chest fluff! Always a fan of colorful paw pads & ear insides, i just think its neat and also helps balancing the design and adds a bit of color.
Also really adoring the tongue and the tail tip floof <3
All in all a top creature design that looks balanced and memorable, and while im not the biggest fan of orange designs, it works well.

Glue?

Hes like....a really big common swift bird, but with legs? He's the familiar/transportation ride/henchman of some evil guy but he's kinda really bad at his job because he has the personality of an overexcited Labrador.
The spiked "feelers" on his tail are able to be used both as whip and to grab things, and he can stick to/crawl up walls like a regular swift.
He can spit massive balls of an extremely sticky substance (hence his name) that his owner uses to hunt people from up in the air , and he really likes to play with yarn balls like a cartoon cat and regularly gets tangled up like one as well. His front legs have mouse-like "hands" which opposable thumbs but he still doesn't know how to use them to open a pickle jar : (
His feathers are supposed to have that green-metallic iridescent shimmer in the sun like black chickens have, i just simply have no idea how to draw that in paint tbh :"D

i literally ADORE the concept for this character!!! this is a really elegant design that has a lot of features to make it really interesting but doesn't overdo it, and it's really hard to find a good balance like that i think! the minimal colors also really add to bringing this design together i think. i also am such a sucker for original creatures that are well thought out, like the appendages serving their own function. iridescence is also AWESOME i know exactly what you're trying to communicate with that. i do wish the reference was a little bit bigger so i could see the details better, but all in all this character is REALLY excellent! very well-rounded and looks SO fun to draw (which is a big contributing factor in how much i like a character personally!!!) i'd give this little guy a head kiss

What a dreamy guy! Blue and orange are one of my favorite color combinations, and they were implemented perfectly. I also love unnatural colors paired with natural markings. I like that his ears, nose, mouth, and paw pads are green rather than the typical pinkish color. I also have a huge soft spot for good natured characters. I have no negative feedback, and I can't wait to see a backstory for him!

7/10!! i like him a lot overall, i think the concept is super neat! :)

i especially love the ragged wings, i think that adds a lot of character! him being dehorned is interest too, and adds a neat visual aspect. i think the color scheme works pretty well with an acid-spitting dragon, and i dig the glowing mouth and eyes!! they're very striking.

the markings on his side do feel a little jarring; i think the flame (?) is fine, but the skull feels kind of out of place. maybe if he had more markings in other locations it might feel more cohesive? the cover of them works well since it matches the striping on the tail, and i'd actually love to see some more darker accents overall! i think the color of the mane could also be darkened a tad, as it currently is it blends a bit too much with the skin.

but on the whole he's a very lovely character! i always love to see dragons <3

someone finally just freaking hire the user above as an official designer for starlight express i BEG you

Ngl ive already seen a few of your humanoid trains (& other vehicles) and i adore all of them, i just really love the concept itself and it's really not everyday that i come across someone who is so enthusiastic about this rather niche art thing and made it so completely yours? There's so much originality, personality and love in these funky wheeled folks you make! The guy above is no exception , i absolutely adore him ? You transferred the look of the crane so perfectly, this is one of the most accurate humanisation of anything that i have ever seen? Its just very on point?
On a purely technical level, he's really wellmade too, everything is balanced , easy too recognize and not too torturous to draw, the colors go nice together in a flashy way , and the red nail polish is such a tiny but cute detail? He's got one of my favorite body types for characters , and it makes so much sense in the context , also the hairdo is an absolute win.
The bio made me fully fall in love, he's just so wholesome and cute and fun , and I love how his design really looks fitting for his personality and concept?

How about seraph?


He's just a really fat little munchkin cat who works as his village's doctor (it's basically all semi-anthropomorphic cats , they have opposable thumbs and use tools and whatnot, think of studio ghibli's "the cat returns"?) and goes on sort of a parodied fairytale quest. The whole situation of his homeland was kinda very bad and there was a prophecy about a choosen hero coming one day , besting seven challenges of honor & bravery, and save the land , but years passed , things got worse and one day seraph and his siblings decided they had enough of it and would just go and do it themselves. He's maybe not the voice of reason but definitely the voice of experience and common sense among his party. Definitely the dad friend. he has terrible insomnia wich often leads him to be extremely tired and grumpy but he's always doing his best and will always help and care for anyone who might need it. Just wants to get done with it so he can return to his study, spend the day with his experiments and drink way too much oversugared cappuccino.
