Oakstar was grateful cats from Swiftclan came to help with the rouge problem. With this many extra cats, hopefully they could solve the problem. He was disappointed to find that Peachmeadow had formed a relationship with Robinpatch, a cat from another clan, but he knew the heart wants what it wants. He was going to make sure to have a long conversation with her once the cats left.

Peachmeadow was more at ease knowing her chosen mate was safely in her clan. She was enjoying spending so much time with him, and not just one night at a gathering. She was glad he came to help, and that he brought plenty of reinforcements. It was a little awkward for her to explain to her clan why and how they were here. But, it was better to get it out of the way now, if they ever ended up with a family. She was ecstatic when Oakstar hadn't chased them off or forbade her from having this relationship.

Autumnsong was thrilled to have an apprentice. She was overworked with trying to help the clan and raise her kits.

WEATHER !!

GREENLEAF || The heat is nearly unbearable in some places, yet it is also welcome and comforting in others. The sun stays in the sky for longer than any portion of the year, and most creatures are active at dusk and dawn. Kittings come easier, and prey is easier to find. In any case, this is a season which provides more happiness than sorrow.

✦cypressglow's sudden accidental death is mourned by the entire clan for his dedication to trying to feed the cupids, although his siblings dewdrop, floodsplash, hailstrike, pondfrost, rainswoop, and dropcloud mourn especially hard, especially so close to the loss of both of their parents.
✦the rit zien and grigori work diligently on the two cupids, thankfully managing to save the mothers and the kits. emeraldchin and sagescorch seem to grow very close as they comfort each other during this process, since neither of them have their kits father to support them during these important moments.

Petalfall glanced around at the cats, now eleven in number. They had lucky to be able to forage enough food to sustain them so far, and establishing a permanent camp had certainly helped. But there had started to be fights in the mornings about who was responsible for what, and who had done which undesired task last moon. It was enough that some cats, mostly Clovespeck, were threatening to leave and take their chances on their own. But with two elders now, there was no room for cats to just up and leave whenever they felt like it.

Glancing over at Sweetyam, who was watching in consternation as Morninglight and Clovespeck bickered over who had to lead the two cat patrol instead of going with the larger one. "Hey Sweetyam," Petalfall said softly, "I think we need to find a way to stop all this fighting. It's stressing out Snailstripe and Dapplecry."

Sweetyam nodded vehemently, "Yea this is getting to be too much. When it was just a few of us, we all went together, but moving through the tunnels with anymore than six cats seems almost impossible, but Clove doesn't seem to care."

Pettalfall shook her head, "And given that we have two cats who can't hunt for themselves, it's imperative that those who can hunt keep doing so. None of us know if we're ever going to get out of here, and there's safety in numbers."

"If only we had some way of just. Deciding who would do what." Sweetyam mused, "Someone who could take charge and make the decisions, so there wasn't this constant fighting."

"Like a leader?" Petalfall suggested, "Or at least a temporary one."

Sweetyam lit up, "Oh that's a good idea! If we can just get the majority of cats to agree on one leader, they can assign patrols and then no one will have a reason to fight. Let me go get Lièvreshell, I know he's been in a clan before, he can explain how this should work."

Wishing a week the three had worked out exactly what the job of the leader would be, and Lièvreshell had informed them that there was normally a second in command, often called a deputy, who would help the leader with their jobs, or take over temporarily if the leader got hurt. So armed with this new knowledge, they gathered all eleven cats in their scraggly little group together.

"Okay," Petalfall began, "I'm sure you have noticed that we've started fighting." There was a murmer of agreement, and several cats glanced at Clovespeck, who scowled. "And Sweetyam and I are concerned that if this keep happening, the group might decide to split up, which puts Snailstripe and Dapplecry in danger." The two elders shifted slightly, uncomfortable being the center of attention. "So, Sweetyam and I talked to Lièvreshell, and we think we should elect someone to serve as the leader of our group, at least until we get out of here. So, if there's anyone that you think would be good for the job, speak now and once everyone is ready we can hold a vote."

There was a slight pause, before Clovespeck grumbled, "This is a waste of time."

Shooting him a deadly glance, Morninglight piped up, "Why not you Petalfall? You already kind of act like a leader, and you were the one who got the first group of us organized after that cave in. If not for you who knows if we would have been able to stick together back then." Lièvreshell, Cicadabuzz, and Hollowsong murmured in agreement. Clovespeck sighed dramatically and rolled his eyes.

"Oh!" Petalfall acted shocked at the suggestion, "Well, I haven't really been trying to be in charge or anything, I just want what's best for everyone and for all of us to stay safe really."

"I think that would make you a pretty good leader." Aonscatter chimed in, "I haven't been here long, but everyone seems to listen to you already, and you have done a pretty good job so far."

Petalfall blushed, ducking her head, "Well, I mean if you all insist. Is there anyone else who might be a good leader though? I'm not sure I'm really cut out for it."

"Oh cut the crap," Clovespeck snapped, "We all know it's gonna be you, just vote and get it over with."

Sweetyam glowered at the chocolate tom cat, but agreed, "I do think we should vote, though it's clear we don't really need to. All in favor of Petalfall raise your tails." Nine tails raised, with Petalfall not voting out of politeness. "Well, that's settled then." Sweetyam chirped, "Now, Petalstar, you should decide who your deputy should be."

Petalstar looked flustered, as if caught off guard, but inside she was beaming. "Oh, well, um. I suppose you would make a good deputy Sweetyam. You helped me figure out that we needed a leader after all, and everyone likes you. Would you be my deputy?"

Sweetyam, genuinely shocked, stuttered for a moment, before replying, "O-oh! Yea, sure! I'll do my best!!"

The cloudless night unnerves Fox. It has been the same for the past two, past three. Maybe it is her dreams; Not that she remembers any of them. Grey swathes stretch in all directions. The moon the brightest, the ground beneath her the blackest. Light and dark she can still see, do not be mistaken by the paleness of her eyes. Ghost, the larger of the sisters, keeps pace behind her. Her always-bristling fur, too heavy for her frame and sagging off of it in loops, is the only indication of her opinion on the matter. She's told Fox nothing. Her presence, though, leaves the grey she-cat even more on alert. Above her, the crescent moon basks the two in milky light. One casts a shadow, the other doesn't. The trail stretches out endlessly before them both. Fox hisses softly as her own shadow seems to come to life, taunting her, swirling between her legs. Scapegoat. Scapegoat. The human word rings in her ears. Ghost grabs her shadow where its throat would be and wrenches her head backwards. The ringing shrieks, and dies. Fox stares at her, bewildered by the nature of what just occurred. The massive tortoiseshell says nothing. Instead, she throws her head back to the path, where the moon lights the way and leaves snow-like spots all along it. She nods, swallowing the saliva she's built up, before taking the lead again. Every once in a while, Fox eyes her shadow, daring it to make another move. This time, she's prepared.

VolcanoClan

VolcanoClan is a group of cats living in the area surrounding a shield volcano. Although the volcano is active, the clan is generally able to avoid the major dangers due to the type of volcano. Their camp is inside tunnels and caves at the base of the volcano where there had once been a lot of activity. The surrounding area is very rich in greenery, leading to an abundance of prey. However this also leads to an abundance of predators and rogues that also hunt in the area, causing the clan to tend to be more aggressive and untrustworthy. The cats of this clan tend to have shorter fur, and often come in blacks and greys to help blend into the volcanic rocks. Tortoiseshell cats are also pretty common in the area.

Common prey - mice, snakes, squirrels, lizards, hare, birds

Common predators - foxes, badgers, eagles, coyotes

I’m still figuring out clan specifics so stuff about the territory and predators might change, though it wouldn’t be anything big. No matter what it’s gonna stay as a volcano surrounding by a rich forest. I would like to ask if it’d be possible to have an increased chance to find prey possibly balanced by an increased chance to run into predators/rogues))

Queens and kits will be more likely to survive during birth and new cats are still likely to be found. however, the chance for drought and dehydration is higher and predators, while unlikely, are more dangerous than ever due to abundant resources

Tucked deep in a wood covered with vines, a small band of cats bargain with fate for their survival. Every moon brings new challenges, new questions to post to the universe. In a world so uncertain, these cats have found solace in the art of divination. All important decisions must be first approved by the whims of the universe before action can be taken, and anyone who goes against the decisions of the divine is immediately ostracized, as they put the whole group at jeopardy of the wrath of the unknown. The spirits can of course be appeased by offerings, but in a world where an offering could mean the difference between the life and death of your classmates, who can spare the supplies?

This cat is the most skilled at Divination in the whole clan, and no major decision if finalized without their input. They are hand picked during kithood by the previous Diviner when the spirits say the time is right, and begin training as soon as they can catch prey. They complete warrior training, as well as some medicine training, but their main focus is divination. These apprentices cannot graduate until they have at least 8 skills and are 18 moons old.

As this is a third clan, they will start in hard mode.
