would you guys rather we start with our characters just regaining consciousness after the gods "took over" their forms, or already together and kind of discussing amongst one another what happened when they did lose consciousness, as well as slowly starting to discover their abilities?

Hey all, I'm going to open the rp tomorrow morning, but I just wanted to give a quick run-down so everyone knows what's happening! Just to make things clear, the characters do not know about the Gods' souls within them, and it's not something they will suspect right away. The Gods had come to Earth & placed part of their souls inside of our characters a few hours prior to the time of the rp, so it's up to you in terms of how your character reacted (if they had passed out, if they just felt really drowsy, out of sorts, etc.). All they know is that around noon, they suddenly felt unwell, which is why they've all ended up in the same location (a spare cabin the volunteer group was leant during their stay).

Over time, they'll start realizing the God that chose them will be lingering on their mind more, and once their powers are all revealed, then they can conclude that something must have happened between Earth & the Gods' world — which most would likely have suspected to be a myth until they see their new abilities. In terms of the powers, you are welcome to start experimenting with those at any time. They will obviously not be masters right off the bat, so there's bound to be chaotic accidents that occur. We will start there, and after a little bit, I'll let you know how I plan on introducing the goal of their mission!
