Kane is a temperamental softie whom would fight you if he weren't so busy tending to the school garden. With no real mean bones in his body, the facade that he's learned to put up around other people can seem like a fragile, taciturn streak. Ideally, he appears to be someone reserved off first impressions; purposely keeping to himself but not always allowing his desire for seclusion to stop him from easily making friends with others. He thinks of himself as being rather abrasive or rude to stop people from trying to acquaint themselves with him though the tactics can be seen right through by those with keener eyes. He hides the golden heart on his sleeve in the beginning of most friendships, but his sensitivity to the emotions of others and how they react to things never ceases to register in his mind, so of course he has to be that one person out of the group to pull you aside and make sure you’re okay when something bothers you. He trusts easily, is gullible as heck and if you waver too close to his heart best believe you’ll be on his mind almost constantly. He’ll tend to you if you let him, smother you in little things you might like or that he finds could fit you as a person, but he’s a very hands off type unless you’re close enough to earn his genuine trust. Self-critical with a hint of anxiety, he strives for achieving something close to perfection in the things he's passionate about or tasked to do which can make him tire easily. As such, he deflects things like compliments and physical affection with practiced ease (maybe some aggression), sticking more so to showing his value via his craft or tangible efforts. There are definitely times where he itches to draw a little closer though, acting as if it’s an honor or a rare treat to do so at all and when it occurs it’s usually him just asking on behalf of the other.— (“You seem upset. Do you want a hug?”)

To those he cares for, he tends to unintentionally cling to them and cater to their needs even if his words or expressions don’t always reflect the same feeling and with this comes the selfish desire to keep only those closest to him the safest. He's big on favoritism by the way he interacts to those he hasn't warmed up to with a certain respect and formality that's a little more personable when it comes to the latter. He keeps an eye on those whom he doesn't recognize and is rather good at keeping people's names and faces in the back of his mind in order to summon them to the forefront of his thoughts whenever necessary. This is also convenient for whenever he needs to exchange words with people he's only seen around the school as he doesn't like meeting too many new people all at once. He can become rather judgmental of them, but his stoicism prevents him from voicing whatever is on his mind every time. With this being said, he does keep quite the temper under wraps, displaying it only with his occasional sharp-tongue unless provoked.
