Her eyes trailed towards pawsteps nearing, River turned to see a trainee - Rain. Who happened to specifically be Fish's trainee. She offered a small smile "Hello Rain!" she called softly, not wanting to disturb her if she wasn't looking for conversation but in the least wanting to greet her. River tried to be friendly to each wolf she saw.

As the trainee and Fish began a soft conversation, River offered a small smile. She wasn't able to really understand their love for water, she didn't really care for it much - although she also didn't have many experiences with it. River took another quick bite of the meal she and Fish had began to share before shaking out her fur "perhaps I should let you two plan your afternoon" she said softly "Besides, I'm sure there is a patrol needing an extra set of paws"

Risen offered a small smile as Nyx tried to reassure him. In all honesty, he wanted to run out of camp and go hide under a tree. Usually he hated to socialize, but the one time he was actually holding a conversation he had to make a complete fool of himself? Risen nodded his head in agreement "I agree, we should join" he said before Nyx had already spoken to Smoke.

Blaze offered a small smile to Aleck as he greeted them, he felt guilty of disrupting him from the tasks he was doing currently. He let Octavia speak as he knew she was here for a more legitimate reason than to chat. He wasn't sure if the she-wolf would question why he was at the Medic's den when there wasn't anything wrong with him. Although it was no secret that Blaze was closer to Aleck than the other pack mates , it was a secret that Blaze had a crush on the medic.

He turned his attention back to Octavia as she explained her visit to the medic den. Blaze pinned his ears thinking of the time he had an itch himself "Itches are the worst. " he commented with a shudder. "I hope it clears fast for you" he commented; offering her a soft smile. "Aleck is the best. When I had an itch he gave me some herb and I swear - it was gone almost by the next day"

Destiny wagged her tail softly as Hati had invited her on the hunt. She dipped her head in thanks "yes please, that would be incredible" she said softly. [i] "It's either that or sit around here and wait until someone needs an extra set of paws" she added in a joking tone. Overall, Destiny was thankful for having a reason to leave the camp that afternoon. She also wouldn't mind getting to know Hati a bit more, as they had only spoken in passing.

Thessadowes dipped her head instinctively as Smoke called out to Risen and Nyx. She hoped they'd be able to tag along - the more the better, really. She slowed her pace somewhat as her Packmate caught up, then resumed her fast trot.
"I suppose, yes." Thess agreed, flicking an ear in thought as she glanced to the side. She was primarily focusing on her sight and tracking abilities, since the cold in the air tingled through her nose and somewhat mixed her scents. It wasn't an unfamiliar feeling, just something that annoyed Thessadowes. It was no bother, simply an annoyance.
"I heard from someone that a young herd of deer were beginning to come back. I am not sure if this was verified, but I would eventually like to check it out and see if they're really here. Maybe today is a good opportunity." Thessadowes said aloud, casting a look in Smoke's direction.
"I hope this is true, I miss the taste of spring deer!" Thess joked, a laugh clear in her voice.

Thess tilted her muzzle towards the two wolves that caught up with her and Smoke, giving a few welcoming tail wags.
"Hello Risen, Nyx. Good to see you; I am glad you could join us this morning!" The All-Arounder responded lightheartedly, truly meaning it. While she wouldn't go as far as to label herself an extrovert, Thessadowes quite enjoyed the company of others.
"I was just mentioning to Smoke a few seconds ago that a deer herd that may or may not have returned to our forest. I was hoping to make an attempt to track them down sometime today." She noted, raising her nose up in the air, as if to try to catch a whiff of said creatures.

Aleck
Male/ Fire Pack/ Medic/ Crush on Blaze <3

Aleck smiles as Octavia enters the den, blushing at Blaze's words. "I can certainly grab some itch remedy for you!" He says running to the back of the den trying to hide his blush and retrieving a leaf with the remedy on it. "here you go! apply it twice a day to the itch and it should be gone soon; if not, come back to me in a week and I'll see if there's anything else I can give you" he says seriously telling his patient the procedures.

Dolce
Male/Lightning Pack/ Fighter

Dolce stood in camp, blinking slowly. He let his eyes adjust to the incoming sunlight, stretching out. He then heard his name being called, and turned in the direction of the voice. When he turned, he spotted the alpha, who also happened to be a close friend of his. "Yes, you may" he says walking over to his superior. "what would you like to speak to me about?" he asks politely, waiting for a response from the higher up.

Risen nodded as the all-arounder greeted them, she seemed cheerful about Nyx and himself joining them. Offering a small smile to the wolf he replied "Thank you for the invitation to join you and Smoke" .

The hunter looked around as they continued walking into the forest, he flicked his ear in alternating directions trying to pick up something. His nose lifted towards the sky in hopes to track a scent. "There's a deer nearby" he said softly picking up the faint smell. It was possible this could be the same deer he encountered this morning, but it smelt newer. Maybe the herd was coming to look for the missing deer finally. He shook his fur before adding "I caught a small deer earlier today. Perhaps the herd is searching for it"

Blaze stepped out of the way as Aleck tended to Octavia, he watched the medic and wondered how they knew exactly which herbs to use and when to use them. There must be hundreds to memorize. The warrior flicked his dark tail before glancing back around the camp.

His curious nature got the best of him as he opened his mouth to ask about the herbs "So, what exactly is that?" he questioned

She opened her jaws to answer the other healer trainee but didn't have time to say anything before their mentor showed up. She blinked her eyes not so surprised that the healer was already sorted their herb storage "Good morning Terra, we were already waiting for you..." she said with a flick of her tail. She looked at Kotori as the healer finished talking "are you hungry Kotori wants to share something with me perhaps?" she asked the male trainee.

He narrowed his eyes "I didn't try to order you around, I just told you...you don't want to be around when the others get hungry and angry because of that..." he responded to her with a sight. His eyes looked to his half-sister Nyx there talking with Risen "hmm, well at least someone is being useful to do things without waiting for some orders" he said to her "you know we don't have a lead hunter to order you around..." he said with a smirk.

She looked at the three wolves one after another as they spoke with each other "hm, I see that's herd maybe your doe's family...I...no we with Risen were just planning to see if the herd is somewhere nearby, but I guess you two had the same plans..." she said with a flick of her black tail. She looked at Smoke for a moment "So did you have a plan where we will start to look for them?" she asked another hunter.

He was not planning to eat it all, which was not even possible as it was still pretty big for a small deer. He took a bite as his eyes looked at the cleaning for anyone else wanting to eat.

She stopped and looked at him with a shock "what? seriously?" she said opening her jaws to say something else, but closing them as she was not sure if she could say anything any longer "...I'm sorry I took it up, I didn't know that... it could be something that really happened..." she said bowing her head. She listened to what else the male said "but both Fire pack and the Lightning pack do want a peace right? we just need to find someone to actually do the first step toward it?" she said.

He walked back to camo his tail flicking as he looked around at those who were still there. He made his move closer to the alpha and one of the warrior Cartel "Good morning your highness and Cartel..." he called out with a smile "so far no problems at the borders, their prey is seeming to awaken and getting back, if the hunters are successful we may have a good lunch today" he said. He looked at them "so was there an important conversation going on? I hope I didn't disturb anything, but I thought I could tell..." he said.

He nodded "Yeah I thought so too, that Hati could be it...I can't really say anything about Tendril as I don't really know her that well, but yeah she is kind of young" he responded to the warrior. He gave a quick look at Canary which seemed to move their way "I don't think bloodline really do anything about your skills... it only makes you related nothing more...training and attitude make you the best of things" he said looking at the prey "if that's made any sense" he said.

She silently watched after the medic, she could see his nervousness but didn't find anything odd about that. She gave a look to the Blaze as well, as the medic was bringing the remedy for her little problem "oh thank you Aleck" she responded as she took the remedy "yeah I will come to you if I needed to thank you again" she said to him with a soft smile as she started to make her leave.

She stayed there watching in peacefully, as the pack started to rise from their dens. Stretching the black-furred she-wolf stood up and started her walk toward some of the hunters she saw being alone "Good morning Miera" she said with a gentle nod and a smile. She gave a look around before turning to face the other hunter "you ready for a hunt? with me or well we could ask any other with use, more hunters means more prey right" she said.

She thought for Kass's words for a moment, before gasping "ooh...you're right...you're a few months older than me....how did I forget about that?" she spoke up "oooh that's mean I need to follow your orders and I need to respect the elders...right...granny Kass" she said with a smirk. She then sighed "do you think we could start? I the young pup is very excited to go out for a hunt..." she said with a flick of her whitetail.

"How have you both been going with duties and everything like that?" she asked, her gaze flickering in between the two. "I was just about to go out for a border check if either or both of you wanted to come for a walk? No biggy though if you can't be bothered but I just thought I'd check".

"Mmm. And what warning signs are you seeing that she’s not?" That said…everything was wrong with Karter. Blizzard hadn’t talked much with either Aala or Karter outside of professional matters, so he wasn’t one to speak. Mick's words caught him off guard. They’d been friends almost as long as Blizzard could remember, but this wasn’t what he had ever expected to be on the receiving end of. "You…love me? I guess my first question is…why?"

The brown furred Warrior finished his small meal and stood up, stretching. "See ya in a bit." Karter nodded to Axis with a tiny smile. The awkward silence between them and Axis was a bit much to handle. Silence was fine, but awkward silence? He’d be happy to escape for a bit. So he faced Aala and dipped his head. "Lead the way."

Max dipped his head in acknowledgement to the Scout. The report was promising, but at the same time, it made him uneasy. He would almost rather there be activity, at least then they’d know the activity of their enemy. "Thank you for the report. Keep a sharp eye. And when the next hunting party goes out, would you go with them to see if you can catch wind if any returning herds? With spring coming, it won’t be long."

"No kidding, me too! I’m tired of tiny squirrels and scrawny hares. I mean, I’m not big or anything, I don’t need as much food as Shadow or Fish or Blizzard, but still. Variety is nice." Smoke's dark gaze shifted towards Nyx and Risen, and she dipped her head to the approaching Hunters. "Good morning!" She chirped.

The mottled Warrior's gaze followed Kazue as he separated from them. They were set. She had Erle and Kazue with her, and Canary had already set to choosing their group, she trusted them. "Not now. The conversation can wait," Arian declared. She stood up and slicked back her ruffled pelt, glancing at Erle and nodding. "Shall we? I’d like to get this patrol moving sooner rather than later, especially since for now the weather is decent, and there will be fresh scents if anything is up."

"It’s alright. Life happens. Sometimes life is lost, we just do what we can to protect those we still have." It's alright was a stretch, but there was no sense in crying over it, in Toby's opinion. Sure, it had been recent, sure, Karter was still bitter and grieving, but Toby himself tried not to live in the past too much. "I can’t speak to what Fire Pack wants, their Alpha is unpredictable, and I can’t speak to what Shadow wants, not in this moment, but if we keep going on the path of war…there’s only destruction waiting for both sides."

"Oh hey now! I’m not THAT old, hon!" Kass gently headbutted Serafina, a light laugh bubbling from her throat. "Okay okay, let’s head out. Since everyone's just getting a slow start, we may as well go out on our own rather than waiting around for someone else." She’d scanned for Catania, but found no trace of the young Hunter. If they’d found her, she could join them, but otherwise, Kass wasn’t going to headache over it.

"Of course, I’m biased," Móraín admitted with a shrug. "Given Tendril's my sister and all, I think it’s only natural I’d root for her." She tilted her head to the side. That wasn’t how she had been raised, that wasn’t what she had been taught. Her father had always told her that a strong bloodline made a strong leader. That it was why Max's family had been in power for three generations. "I suppose…to each their own."

"Don’t worry, we don’t neglect what we're supposed to do," Leo promised. That said, it’d be nice to get out again. His tail wagged and he perked up. "Yeah, sure! I’m up for it!" His gaze shifted to Rya, awaiting her answer. "What about you? You coming with?"

"Nonsense," Fish insisted. "No need to run away." There was combat and guard training, yes, but patrolling was also important. She gently nudged River, then glanced at Rain. "Well, eat up your breakfast, Rain, then we can all go on a patrol together if River doesn’t have anything else on her agenda already, the three of us. Rain, it’s about time you tried going out with a smaller patrol," she decided. It could be good for all of them to get out a bit.

What Shadow needed wasn't quick, and there were patrols to be taken care of. She slowly breathed out. Business first. "It’s alright, I’ll speak with you when you get back, the patrol takes priority, and I believe you were called." She offered a warm smile, hoping to smooth things over. It was really inopportune timing, but she was the Alpha. She had to organize these things until the time came to appoint Leads and Beta.

"Breathe. I’m not sure what you know of Karter, but I overheard him a couple times with Toby. If Aala was to become anything like him, it wouldn’t be intentional. Karter doesn’t like the way he is. Why would he try to change anyone to be like him?" Blizzard pointed out. "Relationships change participants. We grow with those we love, we change, for better and worse alike, it’s only natural," he added. "You weren’t being stupid, it’s just a question." Blizzard touched his nose to Mick's gently.

The brown furred wolf had no sooner gotten to his feet than noticed something had distracted Aala, usually ever so focused. "What’s wrong?" Karter was used to receiving weird looks. It was normal for him. Likewise, he wasn’t blind to Mick's surprisingly cold stare, but he hadn’t thought much of it. "Is everythin' okay?"

Arian simply turned her mind off just like that! All her prior worrisome thoughts gone as quickly as they had appeared, and she pointedly headed out of the camp, nodding to Kaz as they approached. "We're headed out. Keep a sharp eye." Her gaze flicked between the two Warriors, then then pushed ahead to take the lead and head down by the river. Very rarely did anyone cross the river except for battles, if that. "And stay close."

"Well if he’s her choice and she is his, it’s something you’ll have to live with, because ultimately, that’s choice is hers, whether you like it or not." Blizzard couldn’t care less for himself, but he knew it was bothering Mick. "Isn’t it better to try and open yourself up to the idea of it? She’s your sister, don’t you want Aala to be happy?" He asked. Then he chuckled and wrapped his massive form around Mick's tiny frame. "And I’ll always be here to hold you."

"Well…things change with time," Karter noted. "It’s been kinda painful waitin' for him or Bliz to say somethin' though. It’s long overdue," he commented. He straightened and headed towards the camp entrance. "Anyway. Whereabouts were you lookin' at goin' by, exactly?" He asked.

"You have a kind heart too. It’s one of the traits you share. As long as I’m her, you’re never going to get hurt. I’m a Warrior, I can protect you." Blizzard had grown up a protector. Defending himself and Louve, the Pack, and now Mick. And he would do it all again, for the rest of his life. "It’s part of why I fell for you. I've never met someone patient enough to put up with me and my endless mood swings. But you do, somehow."

"Travelling to the outskirts of the territory, huh?" Karter chuckled, gently nudging the she-wolf's shoulder, a playful sparkle in his pale eyes. "Sounds like a good time to me! I promise you’re safe with me." On their territory, there should be no Fire wolves, but there were still other animals, and in a war, who knew what to expect?
