WEATHER !!

GREENLEAF || The heat is nearly unbearable in some places, yet it is also welcome and comforting in others. The sun stays in the sky for longer than any portion of the year, and most creatures are active at dusk and dawn. Kittings come easier, and prey is easier to find. However, twolegs lurk in the shadows as they encroach upon the territory of the Clans. Perhaps some cats, desperate for water, linger upon your borders. In any case, this is a season which provides more happiness than sorrow.

A stranger, who was warrior-aged, was sitting just to the right of the entrance. Their tail was tucked neatly around their paws, and they wore a large grin. It seemed as if they were waiting for them.

Hunting Patrol:

• Flintstrike's patrol seems to be able to gather 2 shrews during their time outside of camp.

Border Patrol:

• Marshstar and Flintstrike took the border patrol as an opportunity to strengthen their bond as leader and deputy. They chatted like friends as they dutifully checked every inch of their border. During one such conversation, the two stopped as soon as they both smelled an overwhelming scent of outsiders. The two chose to creep forward, and they found two warrior-aged friends standing respectfully at the age of the border. One of the cats waved their tail in a friendly fashion, so Marshstar made the executive decision to approach them and ask why they were standing at the border. Within seconds, one of the two admitted to hearing tales of a Clan, and they were here in the hopes of joining.

The current season is greenleaf! Is it just me or did the sun get warmer? The weather is lovely and everyone wants to be outside- including confident predators looking for a meal, so be careful who you send on patrols. Births are going smoothly and you're likely to find some cats seeking shelter from the heat. Try taking a splash in a river to cool off!

✧ Ghostfall's patrol passed uneventfully.
✧ As Blueriver and Burnwisp marked the borders, they heard the distant thump of wings in the air, but thought nothing of it. It was only several minutes later, however, that Burnwisp turned to the sound of Blueriver letting out a screech of pain as an owl dove at him, raking at his pelt with sharp talons. Burnwisp launched herself at the owl with a ferocious yowl and, together, the pair drove the owl away. However, it turns out that Blueriver sustained morse injuries than Burnwisp originally thought, as the owl's talons scored deep scratches over his face and eyes. Though she worked hard to get Blueriver back to camp as quickly as possible, Frostgaze's grimly reports that Blueriver has lost his sight as a result of his injuries. He will need to be treated with x1 cobwebs, x1 poppy seeds, and x1 celandine, as well as x3 moons of rest.

✧ Dandelionstar's patrol caught x1 arctic hare and x1 rodent.
✧ Dunlinswoop's patrol caught x1 baby skua and x1 snowshoe hare.

✧ Hootflower had some difficulty training both apprentices this moon, especially in Cloudpeak's absence. Had another warrior take one of the apprentices, the group might have had some better luck. However, Burningpaw failed to learn a skill after sustaining some minor scratches which requite x1 moon of rest to heal. Meanwhile, Summitpaw passed and learned a skill, but he also received several scratches, though they were longer and deeper than Burningpaw's and will need to be treated with x1 comfrey root, x1 dock, and x3 moons of rest.

Patrolling
✧ Quillfur's patrol passed uneventfully.
✧ Kestrelfire's patrol found the signs of a hawk nest nearby. They can decide to try to drive the hawk away next moon, or leave the nest alone and hope that the hawk will move on...
✧ Archeye's patrol scented a group of rogues that seemed to have settled in the area. The patrol can come back next moon to drive the rogues off of MoonClan's territory, or leave the rogues alone and hope for the best.
✧ Pintolily's patrol encountered some trouble when Lumincry strayed too close to the edge of a cliff. The ground began to crumble away under her paws, and she wasn't quick enough to clear the rocks before it collapsed, sending her tumbling down to a lower ledge. Her clanmates heard the sickening thud as she fell, but were relieved to hear her shout for help, glad that the fall hadn't killed the young warrior. The group was quick to find a path down to Lumincry, where they found that the young warrior broke her leg, which was twisted at a severe angle, and they rushed to get her back to camp, where the healers got to work. Though Lumincry will still be able to walk, she will always have a limp for the rest of her life, and she will need to be treated with x1 bindweed, x1 stick, and x1 rush. She will also need x3 moons of rest to recover and heal.
Hunting
✧ Barkspring's patrol caught x2 ermines, x1 big fish, x1 hare, and x1 mouse. However, Pinefeather scratched his paw on a pointed rock and will need x1 moon of rest to heal.
✧ Flakestone's patrol caught x1 bird, x1 vole, and x1 small fish.
✧ Troutbeam's patrol caught x1 songbird, x1 hare, x1 small fish, and x1 rabbit.

✧ Tidepaw failed to learn hunting after he got a little too excited and chased after a young hare. While running, he didn't look where he was going and got his paw stuck in a hole, spraining his paw and losing the hare in the process. To make matters worse, he will need to be treated with x1 broom, x1 comfrey root, and x2 moons of rest.

The training camp is absolute chaos with so many apprentices taking their assessment. Tensions run high and several cats get snappy.

Sloeface is stressed about kitting, but Velvetflicker measures her, and tells her stories about when her own kits were young.

Sweetsun and Hazel continue to make Primulagaze do anything possible to not be in the elders den. He pops into the nursery to tell the kits some stories, and just about has a heart attack when the newborn kittens have little wings attached to them.
