There was good news. There was also bad news. Anton's a "save the best for last" kind of werm, so bad news first: White took yet another tumble. His friend was so accident-prone in any area outside of the shopping district it was actually making him sad. They had a sick eye scar, though, and seemed to be able to see just fine, so it was more or less okay.

Onto the good news: White's tumble made them a new friend! Upon White plummeting from the top of a tall mass of rubble, the unfamiliar werm let out an unholy screech and scattered away from White's impromptu landing zone; they later cautiously circled back in order to check out the wreckage. They had said, in between panicked breaths, that their name was Green. Green was far more talkative than Anton's other almost entirely mute companion, and they told Anton that they and White had come from the same "crew"... whatever that meant. The matching outfits made it seem believable, though.

Anton blinked, breaking out of his memories. He looked at White, who he had opted to walk close beside in order to (hopefully) prevent yet another accident. White's face was as expressionless as ever, but Green had been nervously glancing at White the whole trip. Upon White stumbling and letting out a grunt, Green jumped away and let out a squeak.

Huh. Maybe Green was just a jumpy werm.

Anton trotted happily, his side brushing against White’s as he passed them. His head whipped back and forth in search of anything interesting. The Outskirts were particularly sunny that day, to the point where he was hunched over in his jacket in a futile attempt to not overheat.

“Y’know, I didn’t realize you were so good at drawing,” he chirped. “You should just do that from now on if you want something from that big guy. And who knows, maybe we’ll get more scrap we can give him.”

White shot Anton a glance of acknowledgement before letting out a long yawn, revealing sharp and deadly pearly-white teeth. Anton suppressed a shudder and let the conversation go. White had been staring down Green the entire trip, and much like when he himself had first met White, it was freaking him out. Green looked pretty freaked out too, which was fair, but they looked so horrified the entire time that Anton couldn’t help but feel concerned. Anton knew White was kind of an oddball— which was fine!— but something felt strangely... off. It felt inappropriate to ask at that moment, since White was right next to him, but Anton made plans to ask Green what was up later— once they were done with their trip.
