Smoke | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Thessadowes | Location: Camp
"Was kiiiinda hoping to drag Axis with, but it looks like he’s occupied himself elsewhere," Smoke noted, nodding towards where he had occupied himself for breakfast with Karter and Aala. One of whom got along with everyone, and the other whom very few got along with, not necessarily in that order. "Or get Nyx and do a mix of a quick sweep while she hunts, and since you’re an All-Around, you’re pretty much allowed to do whatever you want! She’s busy too though." Smoke tugged a thin thrush out of the bottom of the pile, eyeing it. It could only be described as…soggy. That was okay. Food was food.
Móraín | Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Blitz | Location: Camp
"I make it my business." Móraín turned her gaze away from the two Warriors though. They were both very…unique wolves. One a rough, hardened brute, the other a master of sharp tongued wit and overthinking the small things. Yet somehow they’d made it work. Móraín had observed her Packmates enough to have picked up on Arian's attraction to Archer some time ago, but she had largely given up on that.
Móraín was happy to change the subject and follow him. "I assume it must be soon. It would be uncharacteristic of him if he was to simply ignore the fact we need someone to assume that position. It’s been a while since our old Lead retired. Alpha wouldn’t leave it TOO long. He may be harsh at times, but at the same time…everything he does is for the Pack."
Fish | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: River | Location: Camp
"I think I remember seeing you when you were a Trainee with her." It felt strange, making the Warrior tilt her head to the side as the realization settled in her mind. "Look at us, talking like we've been friends since we were little or something, sharing secrets and having fun! But…when you were fresh I to training, I had already graduated a while ago," she noted. She tugged a rabbit out of the pile. "SUCCESS! You get first bite," she offered.
Blizzard | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Louve, Mick | Location: Camp
Blizzard nodded to Mick. "I heard that too. Glad I’m not the only one," he agreed. Yet just as soon, they had moved on to speaking of the upcoming day. "Not many plans on my end. I’ll probably see if any patrol needs an extra body. It’s been surprisingly silent recently. Kind of makes me suspicious," the white Warrior admitted. He wrinkled his nose. "I mean I guess, but personally the…er…FISHY taste is just a bit strong for my liking. What, YOU like it?" He accepted the rabbit offered to him with a thankful nod to his companion.
Karter | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Aala, Axis | Location: Camp
"Got a favourite type?" Karter asked. Bird was a pretty broad range. Jays, chickadees, flickers, robins, anything with feathers and a beak was a bird, and there were HUNDREDS of them. Studying the pile, Karter scowled. There weren’t many of the young Warrior's favourites remaining, so he settled for a thrush. Skinny and small, but he was easily one of the smallest adult wolves in the Pack, and undoubtedly the smallest Warrior their ranks held.
Arian | Lead Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Erle | Location: Camp
"It is though," Arian insisted. "Thinking about my sister, who's my only remaining family. I remember the face of my mother in her last moments." Her shoulders hunched. "And I keep thinking…about if this war will one day be over. I’ll fight to my last breath, you know that better than anyone. I will fight and die for this cause if need be, but it doesn’t mean I WANT to." Her eyes closed. "And sometimes I wonder about HAVING a family of my own. About if the weight of my duties will ever lessen. Of if…"
She was sure Erle was by no means blind to her. He knew her better than she knew herself, she could swear it sometimes. On the surface, Arian always presented herself as strong and unwavering. As a Lead and a member of the Fire Pack, what else could she do? It was her responsibility. That didn’t mean she was never afraid though. "Of if when this is all over and we're free, if I’ll still be here to have the chance in the first place, to fall in love, to tell the wolf I like about it, to maybe find myself, to have a family…or if I’ll fall on the field."
Kassandra | Hunter | F-Pack | Tagging: Serafina | Location: Camp
"That’s exactly what I’m talking about," Kass agreed. Many of their Hunters were well into adulthood. Catania was quite possibly the youngest Hunter in their entire Pack, and she had graduated considerably late at that. "There’s no chance to be equal if a youngster isn’t taken along on occasion though," she pointed out. A small smile formed on her face, fleeting, gone just as quickly as it had appeared. "I couldn’t agree more, darling. Come on, let’s see if we can track her down."
Max | Alpha | F-Pack | Tagging: Cartel, Canary | Location: Camp
"Not to worry, Canary. You did nothing but follow orders." Max narrowed his eyes when Cartel spoke. "No." For as long as the Packs had stood, it had been simple. Warriors patrolled, fought, and defended, Hunters hunted. If someone wanted to do both, they became an All-Around. Max didn’t care how his Packmates perceived him for laying down law. In his reign, he’d done enough to command respect from most of the wolves as it was.
"It’s simple, you should know this. If you wanted to hunt as well as patrol, you should have become an All-Around. The duties must stay separated, in order for order to be maintained, and to keep the groups separate. There’s a fine balance. Report to Arian, but there will be no hunting unless you are to accompany a hunting party."
Toby | Hunter | L-Pack | Tagging: Roque | Location: Forest
Toby shivered as icy, frosty ground touched the sensitive paw pads once they had exited the relative warmth and safety of camp. Thick fur or not, he had never particularly been a fan of the cold. It was a part of life though, sadly. This was Roque's first winter too, the tail end of it, and he was determined not to be openly miserable about things and ruin it for her.
"Throwing down a cliff is exactly why I want to avoid rougher patches. I’ve seen too many wolves go down via cliff rather than battle," he admitted. "We'll keep an eye out for space though." He paused, slowly breathing out. He didn’t like answering that question, despite the fact it was a fair one. "We're at war, Roque. It’s been quiet recently, but war never rests. I don’t want to take any chances."
