Daily Dinosaur Fact #59: Triceratops frills are often found with scratch-like marks on them. This is believed to be the result of individuals fighting. However, not all marks on the frills are due to this. A Triceratops has been found with an entire chunk bitten out of it. The bite was found to be from a Tyrannosaurus.

Daily Dinosaur #27: Troodon (True-don)
Name meaning: Wounding tooth
Length: 6-9 feet
Weight: 50-160 kg
Found: USA, Canada
Lived: Late Cretaceous
Diet: Omnivore
Species: T. formosus
Record/s: Smartest dinosaur, First Troodontid found, Largest Troodontid, First North American Troodontid found, Largest North American TroodontidNote: I am well aware that some scientists no longer view Troodon as valid and have split it into Latenivenatrix and Stenonychosaurus, but I am entirely against this. I will never stop calling these two genera, especially Stenonychosaurus, Troodon. I believe that, if split at all, it should have been divided into Troodon and Latenivenatrix, not wholly removing a well-known, 160-year-old genus from the books.

Well sort of. The scientist claims it is, though it's stated as "potentially dubious". Either way I completely disagree with it, so I will always call Troodon Troodon. I will never use Stenonychosaurus. I might use Latenivenatrix, though I find the evidence it is based on not enough tbh.

Daily Dinosaur Fact #60: The word "Dinosaur" is a bit of a misnomer. Dinosaur means "terrible lizard" yet dinosaurs were not lizards. They were a completely different type of reptile. As with crocodiles, they belong to the group Archosauria, lizards do not, they belong to a group called Squamata.

Daily Dinosaur Fact #61: It is believed that if the giant meteorite hit a few seconds earlier or later than it did, the dinosaurs could've potentially survived the extinction.
