I'm curious about the drop rate for the animal eggs. I wonder if Animal Egg 100 has a "lower" drop rate in comparison to the other eggs due to how elusive its been. I feel as if this would be an interesting factor to consider when valuing banner items/pets.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this, and I was almost inclined to agree that egg 100 had a lower drop rate as I hadn’t gotten one while I had gotten around 4-5 of egg 99… but then I got two in a short span of time so I feel like the rarity of egg 100 is to do with trading demand alone, being the big 100th egg and all.

I initially thought it was statistically rarer, but over time I think it's more to do with it being a milestone egg based off of the site mascots, which inherently would make it much more in-demand and popular. If it was just like the other eggs and only based off of a regular pet, I don't think we'd be seeing so many people talk about needing it. For example, I'm sure plenty of people are still missing the dog animal egg, but we rarely see anyone talking about it because it's not a design that really stands out as much as egg 100.

That's pretty much my thoughts. There's plenty of cases where a pet is simply uncommon but people go nuts over it because it's special in some way or has a very liked design and then assume it's going to be/is rare which further increases the demand for it. Not saying egg 100 can't be rarer, since there have of course been cases where a pet with crazy demand really was rare. There's also going to be more of 97-99 around because they were introduced earlier. I'm curious for people who got a lot of those, how many were gotten from the banner after 100 was released.

I also just clicked on five random people in the users online section and four of them had egg 100 among their other animal eggs, which further makes me think it's not extra rare - people just don't want to trade it and the people who are missing it are the loudest.

The most annoying thing though is that this egg isn’t going to get a rarity tag. I’m kind of worried people will treat it this way even after the event.

You've reached the banner limit! It was lower earlier in the event and has been raised a couple of times, but since today's the last day of hunting it won't be raised again.

There's always a limit for banners in the events that have them to keep token pets on the rarer side since it limits how many tokens are around.

You've reached the banner limit! It was lower earlier in the event and has been raised a couple of times, but since today's the last day of hunting it won't be raised again.

There's always a limit for banners in the events that have them to keep token pets on the rarer side since it limits how many tokens are around.

Agreed. I collect animal eggs to try to get them all and if it keeps this demand even after the event it's going to continue to be really difficult to trade for.

Currently at 233 banners I’ve gotten quite a few eggs but I’m still missing egg 100

I hit the new limit, didn’t think I was gonna make it to 300 but 275 I could do
No eggys in my last 25 banners but I did trade for the 100 so I’m good
I just need to trade for the birbs now, been trying to keep my litters separate so figured if I wait until another day starts then it’s easier to look at dates rather than id numbers in trades
