Help! Do you collect every pet?

when i first joined the website, i definitely had the same mentality. it sounded like a fun challenge, but, in the end, It's nearly impossible.
after a while of playing, i realized that i didn't want every pet! some stood out to me more than others. i don't think it's worth it to try and collect one of every pet. i made my goal much smaller! instead of collecting every single pet, i want to collect all of the available bunnies.
if you're tempted to use them as trading fodder, definitely do it! there's a chance you could receive a trade offering you a pet you really like !!

I am trying to collect all the pets. I personally don't trade any pets away unless they are doubles. With a lot of time on the site you can build up a big collection of doubles.
Some people will accept multiple new pets for old pets, as long as the trade is fair.

I collect everything as much as I can as they release, but I only go *back* for the ones I really want (like cats). I'm also more willing to trade things that I only have one of if I'm not very fond of them (spiders, b-wolves) for things that I am more fond of (cats <3)

I personally don't see a point in collecting pets I dislike! It feels like a wasted effort, although I do sometimes feel a bit unsure if I'm giving away a pet I only have 1 of, even if I don't like the design at all. But that's my "what if I could trade this for an even better pet" mentality.

Ultimately, it's up to you, but:
-I only collect the ones I like.
-Everyone has a right to collect anything fairly, but I always feel kind of upset when people want to collect a pet they don't actually like because it takes it away from someone who would appreciate it more, especially an older and rarer pet for completion purposes.
-If you look at the list of people who are "trying to collect all the pets" vs. those who have "actually collected all the pets," you might see that it is an unrealistic goal unless you have a nuclear ton of money, art, and/or time to put into this site.

However, i'm trying to collect the pets i like first. So valuable pets that I may not really "like" i use as trade fodder for a pet i would like. Once I have collected all the pets I truly want, then I might go back to my main goal of collecting all the pets on the site. This way, if I ever take a hiatus from chickensmoothie, i can come back and be happy to see the pets i've collected rather than losing motivation because i've collected pets that i don't really like.

but in the end, its all up to you to do whatever you want with your pets. If you're tempted to use some pets you don't really like as trade fodder, then i suggest you go for it and have no regrets

honestly I just want to collect the pets that interest me the most
I also do try to collect all pets in every event I can but if I happen to miss some I wont mind (Unless theyre really cool pets :,) )

Personally, I'm just looking to collect all of the pets that I enjoy!
I'm almost done with my complete lion collection, and I want to finish my complete macaw collection afterwards. Then maybe I can start collecting all of the zebras or snakes!
But my passion mainly lies with lions :)
I certainly do not want to collect every pet on CS, as some of them just aren't to my liking whatsoever. But I do applaud people that choose to pursue that!

i used to not see the point in collecting every pet/item on-site since there's a ton i dislike, but now i do enjoy having the satisfaction of owning every item on the site. however, i still don't think it's worth it if you're just starting out on C$ and have limited resources to jumpstart your collection.

I agree with most of the comments. The decision is ultimately up to you there aren't any do's or don't's!

For a fact, yes, it IS nearly impossible, unless you spend weeks on end trading up for older pets you're seeking. For instance, the moment I joined this site and saw lions THAT'S IT I knew I needed them all. And since then (2016), with medium effort I am now missing 2 ultra rare lions :") so while I'm working on that and having an ADHD brain I am also now getting other pets before they turn impossible to get as well like Syrian hamsters, chickens, etc.

And yes, I did come on this site initially to collect every pet because collecting is my passion alright

So yeah honestly just do whatever you wanna do! Maybe make small steps :>
