Grey furry paws brushed over herbs, light blue eyes narrowed, tail tip flicking. "Not good, Cloudpeak." She mewed, turning her head to look at the pale tom. He looked concerned but didn't respond. "I can't treat you fully... You'll have to rest for longer... I think." Her ears lowered as the tom curled up, paws over his head. "Who's going to train Burningpaw, then?" He mewed slowly. Frostgaze paused, trying to remember, whiskers twitching. "Hootflower said she'll do it. Burningpaw is older and can help Summitpaw... Or... Something."

She turned back to her herb storages. "It's... about time I think about getting an apprentice." She muttered. "Hm?" Cloudpeak responded, though his voice sounded tired. "Our clan... It's growing a lot and I feel like your injury is a clear sign we need more paws on board." She looked up at the roof of her den, letting out a slow sigh. "Aren't Lavendereye's kits getting older? Maybe you should think about making one of them your apprentice?" She turned her head back. "Let's see... Whitekit is too excitable and really wants to be a warrior, I wouldn't want to disrupt that. Lunarkit is sweet, but easily distracted, I'm not sure if she could focus on healing. Shadekit wants to live up to her mother, but I know she'd agree to become a medicine cat because she can't break a rule for the life of her... But she wants to follow in her mother's pawsteps, I don't know if I can put her on the path of a medicine cat. Coalkit is Coalkit, he's veery suited for warrior hood." She sighed after her explanation.

"I'd think it's between Shadekit and Lunarkit." Cloudpeak muttered, tail flicking. "Hm?" She shuffled over to the tom. "Well, you said Lunarkit gets too distracted, but herbs could make her focus more, she'd need a lot of focus as a warrior anyway." Frostgaze looked to her paws. "But herbs and healing is important, we can't have her daydreaming while a cat is dying." Cloudpeak tilted his head. "You're a good medicine cat, and I know you'll be a good mentor. Lunarkit is young, you have a lot of time to help her focus on her skills." He lifted his head with a smile. Frostgaze smiled back. "... You think so? Thank you..." She glanced at the entrance at the den. A shadow on the ground. "Just a minute!" She called. "But come in if you're dying!" She quickly added.

"Shadekit has great potential, too. She's a hard worker and would love to care for her clan." Cloudpeak continued. "But she has her heart on the path of a warrior." The lynx point mewed, looking away. "I understand. You don't have to take my advice, you're the amazing medicine cat." The tom purred. The medicine cat chuckled. "Thanks. I'm glad you think so." Padding over to the entrance of the den, she was met with a nervous-looking Elkstride. "What's up?" She mewed, sniffing the air around the she-cat. "You don't look sick." The colourpoint drew a sharp breath. "I think I'm pregnant."

Frostgaze's eyes widened. "Well, congrats on the mate, who's the lucky tom?" Elkstride glanced around. "I... Well... I don't know!" Frostgaze tilted her head. "Wait, what?" "Yep, I have no idea!" The colourpoint lowered her stubby tail. "... Come inside, let's see if you have any kits on the way."

Whitekit was getting restless. He had been stuck in the camp for... what? Four moons now? It was getting cramped. He was almost as big as his mother already, and another fully grown cat had moved in! Searching for a place to play, he spotted a fluffy white tail. He couldn't stop himself from giggling. The bigger cat turned around, multicoloured eyes gleaming curiously. "Huh?" The cat said, turning around to face him. "Aw... You must be one of Lavendereye's kits! I'm Summitpaw, by the way, I'm still pretty new, though I've been here for.. A moon now?" Whitekit frowned at the tom. "Well I've been stuck here for FOUR moons!" He mewed, tail wiggling. Summitpaw just giggled. "Hey... How about we race?" The silver tom jumped up onto his paws. "You're on!"

Dandelionstar watched Whitekit and Summitpaw play from a distance. He tilted his head slightly. "Hm. That makes one cat that gets along with him." He joked to himself, chuckling, but it faded into a sigh. "Dandelionstar?" He jumped slightly, hearing a voice behind him. "Morning, Ghostfall." He smiled, quietly hoping Ghostfall didn't hear his terrible joke. "Do you need something?" "Just... We're running a little low on prey right now, and Frostgaze doesn't have the herbs she needs to fully heal Cloudpeak." Ghostfall looked down. "I feel like I could be doing better... Assigning patrols, I mean." Dandelionstar offered a slight smile to the tom. "Maybe you could split up the patrols so we cover more ground? And... Maybe put cats who get along on the same patrols?" Ghostfall nodded. "Good idea... But.. There's something else."

"What?" Dandelionstar hissed. "But I need them to-to focus on their duties! We can't have so many kits running around!" Ghostfall looked to the side. "I'm sorry." "No no- It's not your fault. But you said we were running low on supplies! How are we meant to keep our clan well fed if we keep bringing more... More... Helpless! Cats to our clan!" Ghostfall's ears fell flat. "Are you calling my kits useless?! They'll be great warriors!" He snapped. "I didn't mean-" "How could you seriously think that about kits?! I know you're under pressure, but if you can't handle it, then you don't deserve to be a leader!"

Dandelionstar blinked, speechless. "You better be quiet. You don't talk about families like that. You can't call them useless." Ghostfall started to leave, before stopping. "And if you say something like that again, then Lavendereyes, my kits and I will be leaving this clan and never coming back." The fluffy white tom watched Ghostfall leave the den. Unable to move until he left. He glanced to the shining pool in his den, tears at his eyes. "Blizzard Spirits, Starclan? Please help... me."

Lavendereyes was curled around her kits, she was only just big enough to, though, as her kits just kept getting bigger and bigger. "Hm..?" Her ears pricked as she heard paw steps near the nursery. "It's... Just me." Elkstride padded in, curling up in another nest. "Congrats on the kits, by the way." Lavendereyes purred, but the she-cat looked gloomy. "What's wrong?"

Common pelt colours, fur lengths, etc.: White, light grey, sometimes tan and light brown pelts. Normally tabbies and spotted tabbies, if not solid. Heterochromia is not uncommon, common eye colours are light brown, blue and green. Long furs and short furs with feathery tails are common in this clan, too.

If you see extra names in brackets next to a cat's normal name, that's just their nickname! Not all cats will have them, but if they do have them, that's how they'll be addressed within the clan.

Only cats who have NOT been found on patrol or via request will be on the 'this moon's actions' list.

Scars are fine with all cats, but target cats marked with ^ for scars if possible!
Please don't severely hurt or kill cats that are marked with ~

Forbidden relationships are very not allowed in ArcticClan and can be rolled to be found out! If a relationship is discovered, the ArcticClan cat will get a punishment, and any kits that the cats had (if they're still kits) will be given to another family to raise as the parent involved will be seen unfit.

death rolls open on BOLDED cats ; feel free to kill i need plot ideas lol

the cats have a meeting

- yassi feels restless as they haven't gone out
- church offers to take them on a walk in the woods
- she tells dog they will be back by the end of the night
- dog is worried bcs he has separation anxiety. but he says ok mom see u later ily
- church assures him it will all be ok and gives him a goodbye smooch

- church takes yassi on an old trail behind the barn
- they seem to like it, telling church stories of when they were a young traveler looking for love. they never found it, but they have good memories
- they stop in a clearing and settle down, enjoying the bird songs
- they ignore the rustling of bushes behind them

- the next morning, dog wakes up and is very worried bcs mom isnt home yet??
- he goes to sorry and freaks out
- she calms him down, saying that she will send out a patrol to look for them, she's sure they just fell asleep outside
- frozone, firestar, small bob, and tiny go out to look for them
- and boy. do they find them.
- church and yassi are mangled piles of fur and blood. around them are fox prints
- frozone determines that a gang of foxes must have ambushed them
- they discreetly bring their bodies back to the barn for coffee to confirm
- she does, blesses them, and makes them look well enough for a burial service
- dog is absolutely devastated. like. heartbroken. #emo moment
- the support group has a service for yassi and church, and bury them in the graveyard in the gardens
- dog goes out to visit them every day. he notices that flowers started blooming on their graves

season: greenleaf / summer
the territories are in full bloom during the hottest time of the year. prey is bountiful during
this time of the year, and herbs can be found in abundance. kittings will be handled smoothly,
and cats are still around who might be in need of a new home. however, predators are also
fond of the warm weather, and cats who overwork themselves may find themselves suffering
from dehydration and exhaustion.

TUNDRACLAN ▬ selkirks

hunting results
• duckleap's patrol caught x2 hares, x1 tundra vole, x1 common raven, and x1 stoat.
• emberleap's patrol caught x1 duck and x1 lemming.
• silksky's patrol caught x1 common raven and x1 tundra shrew.

border patrol results
• cedarshade's patrol encountered an adult-aged cat looking for a new home. they appear just as strong and capable as any of the other tundraclan cats, so cedarshade agrees to bring the cat back to camp to meet the leaders.
indent↪ the adult is a "dilute mackerel torbie longhair with medium white and green eyes," colored by me on Grey_Hoodie's lines. here is their starting geno: ll, B-, XOXo, dd, A-, Mc-, C-, Wsw
• terrabite's patrol found x9 pebbles. however, on their way back to camp, the patrol was ambushed by a group of rogues, and infernofeather suffered a concussion from the attack. he will need x1 dandelion, x1 poppy seeds, and x1 moon of rest.

herb hunting results
• the healers found x1 oak leaves, x1 chervil, x1 cobwebs, x1 poppy seeds, x1 marigold, x1 stinging nettle, and x1 raspberry leaves.

training results
• citruspaw failed to learn a skill this moon. thankfully, he can try again next moon!
• jasperpaw failed to learn climbing this moon after she received a long scratch on her stomach from a sharp branch. the wound became infected by the time the healers had a chance to take a look, and they determine that jasperpaw will need to be treated with x1 chervil and x1 oak leaf, as well as taking x1 moon of rest.
• after witnessing jasperpaw become injured, emblempaw became rather skittish while trying to climb. ultimately, emblempaw failed to learn climbing and, even worse, he scraped his pawpad on some rough tree bark while trying to climb down. the healers decide that he should take x1 moon of rest to let his paw heal properly.
• the currents were particularly strong as the young and inexpeienced apprentices set out to learn swimming. while it seemed that they seemed to enjoy the training session, it ended in tragedy when bowpaw became a little too confident and swam further out than the other apprentices. before bowpaw or the mentors realized the danger, bowpaw became swept up in the swift current. with only minimal training and already tired from the rest of the session, bowpaw struggled to keep his head above water. his cries for help reached sunflowerseed's ears, but it was too late. by the time the knights were able to drag bowpaw to shore, bowpaw had drowned, and sunflowerseed weeps, feeling a heaviness in her heart that he could have kept a closer eye on bowpaw, and now he will have to tell failnaughtfire and bowpaw's sibligs what happened.
• the rest of the apprentices pass and learn their respective skills.

assessment results
• after many moons of difficulty and trying her very best to prove her worth to tundraclan, hollystar and cockroachstar announce to the clan that blackberrypaw passed her final assessment and is ready to be welcomed as a full member of tundraclan.

came event
• in the middle of the night, the tundraclan cats were woken by an alarm call raised by the camp guards. the cats were quick to shake off their dreams and join the fight that broke out in the middle of the clearing as rogues tried to invade. however, it seems that tundraclan was stronger than the rogues anticipated, and the clan cats drove the rogues off. however, the attack was not without its fatalities, and, as the battle cleared, pouncewheat bent over the body of his brother, sobbing and asking for sunglow to wake up. however, the healers frown and share their condolences, as sunglow had already succumbed to his injuries. the entire clan mourns his loss, knowing that sunglow did the best he could in his final moments to alert the rest of the clan and give them time to prepare to meet the rogues head-on. without his efforts, there might have been more stars watching over tundraclan that night.

Backfilling for months -pensive-

Summary: The silence continues, with Avocetpool growing more and more restless with the passing sunrises. She moves in for the kill, planning on poisoning Carrotstar (again), but before she can take out any poisons from the herb storage, she is distracted by Bramblinglight, who asks her what she was doing. The black-and-white molly tells her she's just counting the herb store, including all poisons, and claims she lost count, prompting the younger molly to help. Guess Avocetpool isn't allowed to kill again. *Good*.

Icyclaw, too, is restless, but promises he will act once his sister's kits are old enough to become apprentices, and bides his time. His best friends, Adderfrost and Willowclaw, decide to try to confront Chesnutwish themselves, but chicken out at the last second.

And thus, another moon of uneasy silence and nothingness goes by.

The sun fought to get any light through to the cats below. What did get through was like water, the mist in the air made it almost true. Green Tea padded down a game trail he'd found the day prior. It was the first time he was alone since he and his mate arrived in this place. Well, truly alone. The two he'd come to call Ghost and Spirit had accompanied him very often when he went for walks like these. Both seemed to know he needed his space, though.

The hills fell away from his paws in tired rolls, the silver spires following them, into the abyss. It wasn't dark but felt like night. Instead of being suffocating, though, it felt like what it should be for the young tom. Green Tea took long breaths. No tears came to him when thoughts of his family flooded his mind like they always did when he gave himself a moment alone. He just stared out into the fog. 'Let them go.' he gently reminded himself. The yowls faded from his ears and were soon replaced by the happy cries of his youth. He could imagine Little Minnow claiming the top of the shortest trees, Little Wing appearing and disappearing through the grass, Little Jasmine bickering with himself about hunting tactics, Little Bengal creeping up on his frustrated brother, their mother watching everything like she would. When his eyes opened, when he returned to the land of the living, he couldn't help but wonder if his father and sister were out there somewhere. At least, somewhere he could find. An idea strikes him and he jumps up to tell his companions about it, fur bristling with excitement.

They would be nomadic. They wouldn't be a clan, but an Alliance.

GREENLEAF || The heat is nearly unbearable in some places, yet it is also welcome and comforting in others. The sun stays in the sky for longer than any portion of the year, and most creatures are active at dusk and dawn. Kittings come easier, and prey is easier to find. However, twolegs lurk in the shadows as they encroach upon the territory of the Clans. Perhaps some cats, desperate for water, linger upon your borders. In any case, this is a season which provides more happiness than sorrow.

While she was glad to be rid of them, she did wish she had company. Life is boring without someone to push around, after all.

STORY NOTES
─ Spiderleap leads a small patrol down the mountain to gather fresh herbs. Halfway through their patrol, the earth begins to shake. Silverpaw cries out in terror as the mountain trembles and a landslide crashes into the patrol. Spiderleap, Komodo, Petalpounce, Ripplestream, Pyriteflash, and tiny Silverpaw are all swept away...
─ Pebblekit becomes an apprentice! Ivystar assigns Cinderstorm to be her mentor. Thistleflight, Cherryclaw, Wrenpelt, and Alderbeam congratulate Pebblepaw. Meanwhile, Rainpaw, Lightningpaw, Stormpaw, and Darkpaw argue about their upcoming warrior's assessments.
─ Adderpool and Duskcloud assist Daisystem as she goes into labor. Jayswoop frets and fawns over his mate intermittently, while Bramblingpath babysits Deerkit and Tawnykit for her uncle. Brightpaw interrupts the tense quiet by informing the couple that two cats from VagaryClan are here to see them: Brambletuft and Poppyshade.
─ Softlight arrives to pick up his new apprentice from the healer's den for her first day of modified training. Betonypaw struggles to accept her new limitations during practice. Softlight stops the lesson to tell Betonypaw she is allowed to grieve; this finally pushes her over the edge, and she weeps into his chest until she cannot cry another tear.
─ Crowears seeks out his sister for advice. Dovechirp gently coaxes him into confessing a desire to start a family like Violetspark had always wanted. Overwhelmed with happiness, Dovechirp hugs Crowears and tells him she is immeasurably proud of him. Crowears happy-cries.
─ Cinderstorm runs into Sunhollow on a walk and they strike up a conversation. Strangely enough, they hit it off better than expected and their casual acquaintanceship becomes real friendship. Both cats return to camp with their moods improved and a lightness in their step.
─ A border patrol is sent out to check on Spiderleap's missing herb patrol and discovers the deceased cats at the site of the landslide. SpruceClan's camp is flooded with grief. Cricketpounce in particular is rocked by the news of his son and former apprentice's deaths.
─ Birchpaw wakes for the first time in years as he is dragged up from the earth. Pulled by some unknown force, he makes his way up the mountain and stumbles into SpruceClan's camp. He finds Badgerstripe and Honeyfrost, scaring the daylights out of them both, and tries to ask what's going on. Tallthorn then arrives, accusing the "not-ghost" of causing the death of his daughter. Birchpaw is faced with the horrific realization that his revival came at the cost of five other lives.
