Nico Stone | 20 | Cook | Mythic-Jade Pirates | Tagging: Linkk | Location: Hanging Muse, Infirmary
"Heh…sometimes you don’t really need a reason. It just is," Nico stood up and nodded towards the doctor, who had returned to counting the supplies, then returned his attention to Linkk, offering him a hand up. "Of course. Lean on me if you need a hand getting around. I’m right here, we'll take it at your pace so you’re not pushing yourself more than you have to," he promised. Nico's job was to be of help right now, and that was exactly what he intended to do.
Kassandra DeMarks | 25 | Captain/Navigator | Calm Belt Pirates | Tagging: Karter, Navii | Location: Stormchaser
"Don’t worry yourselves about us. Out there on the Grand Line, the only people you two should be worrying about is yourselves," Kass pointed out. The Grand Line was infamous for killing those who weren’t on their guard. It was a dangerous place. Truthfully, Kass had worried it would be too much for their entire crew, let alone two folks who were no more than children themselves. "Just promise you’ll be careful out there. Expect the unexpected."
Coby Angelos (Alias "Orekani") | 22 | Admiral | Marines | S.W.O.R.D. Agent | Tagging: Lucian | Location: Home -> Town
"Literally anyone above his rank can give him orders. Tashigi is Captain of a whole other division, she came in from G-5 not long ago, so she has command over a smaller group, but if push comes to shove, yes. As for the duties thing…" Coby stared down at the ground, he’d always known of Helmeppo's hopes and dreams, always encouraged him. "He’s on patrols, on smaller duties, grunt work, stuff like that." His shoulders slumped. "I know I have the authority to remove his restriction, help him move forward, but Admiral Dokuhebi was right. Someone can’t break the rules without punishment, and that’s coming from ME, who does reckless stuff on a regular basis."
Helmeppo | 25 | Ensign | Marines | Tagging: Anya | Location: Marine HQ
"Ask the Admiral about it. You’re a Lieutenant Commander, you’re authorized to act as a first mate on board a Captain's ship for assignments, and to have command over the Lieutenant divisions." Well. Really, all the subordinate ranks. That was how this kind of hierarchy worked. Not long ago, Helmeppo had been her direct superior. Nowadays, it was her who had the authority to boss him around all she liked.
Trafalgar Law | 29 | Captain/Doctor | Heart Pirates | Tagging: Buck | Location: Polar Tang
That smile. Law would actually kill for that smile. It just made everything all the brighter. There had been a while when he had worried that maybe Buck wouldn’t find his way back, and when they’d found each other, Buck had hesitated on leaving the crew he’d sailed with for a while. In the end though, he always came back to Law. That was how it had always been. Hopefully, how it would always be. This was someone Law loved, and Law didn’t love many people. Buck was special in a way that tugged at his heart, a way he couldn’t explain. Right now, even in a world that seemed to have it out for him, while he was wrapped in Buck’s arms, Law was safe. Everything would be okay, no matter what.
That tiny kiss made Law smile, a real, genuine smile, and this time, one that wasn’t so fleeting, but lingered. "I know." He ran his fingers through thick fur, a feeling he loved, and hadn’t realized he’d missed until he’d had the chance to feel it again. Sure, he had Bepo and all, but that was an entirely different feeling that this, both physically and emotionally. "I’m so, so glad you came back. I knew deep down you would, but there was a moment where I wondered if you’d have chosen to maintain contact with me, but stay with the Calm Belts," he admitted.
