Extra: Viper is blind in his right eye {which is a milky white}, and a bit undersized for his breed.
One of the 'underhanded' tactics Viper was taught, which he still uses to this day, is poisoning his claws before fights. This is not something he encourages among the clan, as the requirement to keep his front claws extended and the discipline to avoid compulsively cleaning them is difficult to learn and could be disastrous if a mistake is made.

Personality: Although Viper can come across as rather cold and distant, much of the clan at this point has long since realized that he's actually rather sociable -- so long as you approach him. Under his sharp claws and the sometimes underhanded tactics he was taught as a kitten is a highly intelligent, though rather sarcastic, tom with the thin streak of a martyr complex that keeps him constantly on the look out for threats to the cats he leads. He seems to try and keep himself emotionally distant from others but tends to fail -- it's almost certainly a facade he keeps up to avoid anyone realizing that he cares so much more than anyone may think.

Background: Viper's is a rather puzzling story, as his exact origins are unknown. His original name was Cody, and he was taken in by one of the warriors of the clan when he was a few months old -- her name was Viper and she was a solitary, aggressive thing. And so it was a shock to all when she stepped briefly down from her role as a warrior to raise this little tri-colored furball she'd pulled out of a gutter somewhere or something.
Rumors abounded, but Viper raised Cody well and he became just as dangerous as his adoptive mother. A small but fierce warrior who tended to keep to himself, though more open to casual conversation when approached. He never really desired any high ranked role, but the leader had different plans and raised him to the role of Deputy. During his stint as deputy, Viper herself was killed and in her memory he took her name as his own.

Personality: While fully capable of being perfectly kind and respectful in her speech patterns, much of the time Kiri doesn't bother. She just appears to want to have a bit of fun, and has a very teasing, and at times flirty, personality. She tends to put up a strong front, acting as if she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her as she goes about her business. Whether this is her true face or simply a mask she puts on is anyone's guess. She is great with pups however, often to the surprise of those around her. She melts when they're around and obviously adores them- though she seems a bit skeptical at the idea of having her own.
She doesn't seem to care much for the idea of ranks as a whole, having spent much of her life alone. Which leaves her respect for those above her a little.... lacking at times. Not to say she purposely defies those that rank above her and she's fully capable of holding her tongue in most situations, she just doesn't really understand the concept of placing one dog above another.

Background: Kiri was born the only living pup in a litter to an aging mother who truly did her best to raise her daughter but struggled to do so due to her age and an old injury. Kiri had to learn quickly and through scavenging and the occasional lucky hunt managed to support both her mother and herself from an early age. And then her mother was gone, losing an already uphill battle against her health, and Kiri was alone.
And she stayed alone for a couple years, until she stumbled across dogs from the pack by chance. To this day she doesn't know why she followed them and accepted their offer to join the pack, but here she is.
