“We do know each other but I am starting to feel bad about questioning his answer, you know? As in I’m not good at guessing games as much as I thought I was or I just naturally doubt myself. I think your answer might be a bit more sound though if I’m being honest” Nova chuckled nervously in reply to Emma, watching her for a few more seconds before she turned away. “Honestly don’t listen to me. Maybe if we got a hint? Or maybe it’s the most obvious answer”.

Brenna Reese Williams/female/21 years old/Tags: Sage, Briar/Location: inside of house/Pansexual
Brenna smiled and laughed as he said just Sage to the young male. She smiled and said to Briar happily sitting down in the bean bag that his fingertips brushed, “Oh don’t worry I’ll make sure to BLOW you all away.” She emphasized the blow part of her speech as she knew it would give more of her carefree energetic personality away. As she nodded to Briar volunteering himself, she listened attentively. When he talked about his three she made a mental note to herself, qualified for Olympics for skiing, doesn’t like dogs, voted valedictorian for high school. She said, “Well you seem to have the athleticness to be in the Olympics and better yet you seem to have a long distance look to you like you could do something for a long time without getting tired so that is no doubt a truth to me. Hmm… I don’t know about two or three. Hmm…” As she thought about it more, she piped up after Sage and said, “This might be offensive to you, but I’m going to go with three as your lie.” She added real quickly afterwards, “Sorry if that’s offensive in any way.” She smiled and heard Briar’s response and she saw him nod to her. She took that as it was her turn to go and she said, “Okay looks like it’s my turn to…” she paused and gave Briar a wide grin taking his words he had spoken previously, “blow you both away.”

Brenna thought through her mind, what would be interesting to tell both her group members about her and she said with a smile, “Ok get ready.” She took a deep breath and said with her voice having a bit of a mysterious tone to it, “Ok first off I was an intern for a teacher studying how to become a teacher for Literature and English before I came here. Second, my dream was always to become a professional swimmer. Third, I went to Canyon Crest Academy for high school and was named for a day principal of the entire school. Mysterious right. Those are my three. You have a 33.3% chance of choosing the lie. So… what do you think is the lie?” Brenna’s jade green eyes flicked between Briar and Sage. Obviously she knew what the lie was, but would the two males in her group know. I mean once you figured it out a few things for the other ones it was pretty obvious what the lie was. Now thinking about it, maybe it wasn’t. All of this to her seemed like good options. She guessed they would have a little trouble getting this right, but she would have fun seeing their answers. Oh boy was she excited for this. This game is a blast, she thought.

Luciano DeLuca | 26 | Tagging: Aaron, Morgan

"I’m pretty sure based on past seasons that we're responsible for our own meal. I think it’s for the sake of being able to show off any culinary skills or something. I was surprised to find contestants made their own food," Luciano admitted. He shrugged one shoulder indifferently though. He did quite like to cook, personally, and he liked to think he was pretty good in general. Largely due to people telling him so. "Well don't worry, I won’t make you cook," he promised, a small, easygoing smile coming onto the young man's face.

"Oh come on, I’m sure you’re plenty smart! You seem like an intelligent young lady to me," Luciano commented. He could be wrong, but Morgan was a good conversationalist, and had managed to catch his attention enough that he genuinely enjoyed talking to her, brief as it had been so far. "You were expecting to see whales? Do they really come so close to shore you could see them?" He wondered. Then his gaze turned to Aaron, awaiting his questions.

Kassandra DeMarks | 23 | Tagging: Jessika, Devin

All very interesting facts, regardless of which ones were true and which was the lie. Jess rolled them off so easily, without thought. That made Kass have to actually stop and think about it, as decent as she was usually at getting a read on people. "Hmmm…" Kass studied Jessika as she spoke, trying to gauge her body and facial language as she spoke each option. She couldn’t tell though. Well, she’s wonderful at concealing her lie. Impressive. She pursued her lips, then scribbled down a neatly printed number 3 and held up her board to reveal her answer.

Kazill Smith | 23 | Tagging: Nova, Emma

"Yup, we’ve known each other for a while, even before the game, actually. Nova's honestly amazing, one of the best people I’ve ever met, and I’m so glad we ended up here together," Kaz admitted. Okay. So maybe he wasn’t shy about his crush, and he was sure that Nova at least suspected, but he HAD to push that out of his mind…right? The objective of this game was to get to know everyone and see who caught their interest the most.

Kaz nodded towards Nova. "Actually you got it right. I don’t have an uncle. Was raised by my dad. And I can absolutely make a mean apple pie without a recipe." He grinned. "I’ll make it for you guys sometime, judge for yourself," he offered. "Okay, maybe Nova, you could go next? Emma said she’d need a bit of time to think up something, so maybe if you go next it can keep the game going and buy her a little more time."

𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐑 𝐌Ä𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐍
─────────────────────────── . 25 . he/him . loc; backyard . tags; brenna, sage───────────────────────────

Briar was completely unaware of the ambivalent looks Sage kept shooting him. He was having fun, so he didn't really care much about what Sage thought of him. The shorter boy was playing the game assigned to them, so for Briar, that was good enough. On the other hand, Brenna was a delight to be around. She was personable and easy to chat with; Briar didn't have to be around her for long to know that he definitely wanted to spend more time with her in the upcoming days. "Right outta the park," he added to her comment on blowing them away, swishing his arms up to add to the whooshing effects of a gust of wind. When Brenna took her seat, Briar allowed himself to get comfortable in his chair. "How many people, do you think ─" he started, "─ will turn away my number?" It was very off-topic, but now that everyone was here, Briar was genuinely curious. Besides, if they were going to be here for around two whole years, surely he'd have to make some friends, right? Further, apart from that occasional Snapchat message, Briar wasn't a big social media user, so texting was the best way to get ahold of him. And on that note, after passing Brenna and Sage the small whiteboards in the middle of their little huddle, he airdropped his number to whichever phone available. Once satisfied with his decision, he tuned back into the game, blue-green eyes watching them intently.

He felt he was doing a pretty good job at keeping a straight face as the two of them pondered over what he revealed. In all honestly, Briar was quite good at keeping secrets, and oftentimes, that meant having to resist the urge to show physical signs of anything. He lifted his chin slightly, leaning in Sage's direction to get a good look at the number he wrote down. Dogs. That probably seemed like the obvious choice ─ if you didn't like dogs, you were practically a heartless monster until proven otherwise. "Interesting," he voiced, dragging out the word. He also pronounced it more like "een-teresting" to emphasize the word even further. Apart from that, Briar didn't say or do anything else. He turned his attention back onto Brenna.

"I have the athleticness to be in the Olympics," he echoed slowly, tilting back his head with a gleeful laugh. "Oh, Brenna, Brenna. Checking me out already, are you?" That common, boyish grin of his returned as he gazed at her. "What a compliment. I don't exactly know what you mean by 'long distance look,' but I'll take it." That wasn't to say that he hadn't noticed her fit physique, though. The only difference was, she was wearing a dress, and he was covered from practically head to toe. Looking back on that "long-distance" comment, Briar suspected that either meant that she was into athletics and therefore knew what she was saying in mentioning such term, or quite the opposite. That was little help to him, he concluded soon after.

His brows twitched downward in a millisecond moment of time as she began to ramble on about how sorry she was if she offended him. For someone who came across as so bold to start, that certainly wasn't what he expected to come from her mouth. He only shrugged in response; personally, he found it more enjoyable if blunt traits didn't have a contradicting follow-up, but not everyone was built like that. "It was the first," he revealed to them a moment later, once he was sure they'd both settled on their decisions. "I like skiing, though; I usually go with my friend group in the winter. I used to be a skater ─ look my name up, you'll find some clips on YouTube. But I never qualified for the Olympics in general. My coach said I would've come close if I continued but..." His voice trailed off momentarily and he gave a half-hearted shrug of his shoulders, then overly enthusiastically shot them a thumbs up. "Here I am instead!"

His index finger pointed towards Sage. "I don't like dogs," he confirmed. "I was bit by one when I was younger and now I'm not a fan. That dog that girl has over there? Not loving it." Obviously he knew it was a service dog, but as someone who had a bad experience with dogs, naturally, Briar believed he had every right to feel weary. "And I was voted valedictorian," he added, swerving his gaze back towards Brenna. "Believe it or not, there's actually a brain cell up here." He tapped his temple with his finger. "Just one, though." In reality, Briar was quite smart; he was currently enrolled to get his Master's degree in neuropsychology. But academics weren't him, or something he liked bragging about, and therefore, unless directly asked, he didn't usually bring it up. He was far more proud of his accomplishments in skating than in school.

Quieting down once he felt he had explained himself well enough, Briar nodded in Brenna's direction, giving her the floor. "A thirty-three point three percent chance," he repeated, mocking her, but obviously for the sake of being playful. "Are you sure you weren't an intern for something math-y?" After that, Briar fell silent yet again so that he could concentrate. He decided to eliminate the first one. He couldn't tell if she was indeed looking to become a teacher or not, for she gave away no signs of it, but as a teacher-like figure himself, Briar knew he couldn't judge based off of appearances. "Is this a trick question?" he asked a moment later, voicing the question in a way where it was pretty obvious that he was just thinking out loud and didn't actually want an answer. He wrote down the number two. "I feel like it'll be some other sport or something."

Jessikka Roberts- f- 22 y- pan; Kass and Briar maybe, definitely Luciano eventually- dad x mom: 4 siblings- Shepadoodle service dog Mayu- volunteers at animal rescue- allergies: cats, Penicillin, Amoxicillin, Bactrim, eggs- skills: animal attraction, kids like her, singing, art, writing, swimming, running (but has problem with chest)- Tags: Kass and Devin

Jess glanced to the boy a moment, then back to Kass. She couldn't help but smile at her, then shook her head a bit. She waited for them to write down their answers then. She looked to the boy, Devin, then back to Kass once more. She looked at her answer, and nodded. "You actually got it right on the mark," she said, and smiled again. "I've never been to Japan but I want to go. I was actually supposed to go this year, but found out about the new season of the show and...well, here I am. Okay, enough about me now. Who...wants to go next?" she asked, though Devin had seemed pretty quiet so far.

Sage Ether Reems- m- 20y- homo; possibly Devin- dad x mom: twin sister, younger sister and brother- law and medical majors- allergies: peanut butter, bee stings- special skills: swimming, running, animal attraction, tree climbing- cat Maggi at home- Tags: group (Briar and Brenna)

He hummed a moment then quieted down, and looked to the other two. He laughed quietly a bit, then shook his head. Brenna was pretty amusing, he had to give her that. Briar seemed pretty chill so far, and seemed to be having fun. Sage knew this game was just for fun, to get to know one another. After all, Ballyhoo hadn't mentioned any prizes. He didn't think there'd been prizes actually mentioned. Considering it was a guessing game, there shouldn't be even if you did happen to get it right.

Shaking his head, he glanced to his two group mates once more. He glanced over to the redhead with the dog, and said "Well...she seems to be a service dog. She'll ignore you, though...maybe you can't ignore her but you could try to ignore her. The problem will be if you have to go on a date with that girl...Right?" he asked, figuring that could be a problem. "Good thing for you I have a pet, and my family has a rabbit. No dogs there, only a feline and a... whatever rabbits are, but they aren't rodents."

His cat also wasn't there, obviously, since pets weren't allowed. Only service animals were allowed, and he realized he might be rambling. He shook his head, scolding himself. He fell silent, and listened to Briar speak to Brenna. He laughed at what sounded like a joke about the brain cell. He hoped that was appropriate, and that it had been a joke meant to laugh at. He then glanced to Brenna as she spoke. "I..." he trailed off, then wrote down three and held up his board, saying "I picked this to be different.

No offense Briar," he quickly said, then wondered if number two was actually right. Not that he should mind, since again this was just a game. Probably for fun, meant to teach them about each other. He was actually glad this was the first game. He didn't think he would have been happy playing say ping pong. He wondered if that would even be one of the activities. Maybe something with the pool could be? He shook his head, and looked to the girl to see what number she said was right.

Kass frowned slightly, tilting her head to the side, gaze flicking back and forth between Jessika and Devin, who hadn’t even been given the chance to speak before Jessika had moved right along. Well that’s more than a little rude. Can’t say I’m impressed. She noted. She'd had a decent impression at first, but with excluding their companion, just like that, the good impression shifted to a more wary one. She set her board down and laced her fingers together in her lap, raising an eyebrow and fixing her dark eyes once more on the other woman.

"Really? Just like that?" She questioned, her tone not quite accusatory, but not the most friendly and warm in the world either. More guarded than anything. "So focused on what I have to say that you’re not even going to give our lovely companion a chance to take a guess before revealing an answer? That’s quite excluding him," She noted. "If I understand correctly, the whole point of this game is to include people and get to know each other. How are we supposed to do that if we brush him off?" She turned her eyes towards Devin. "Terribly sorry, hon. It shouldn’t have gone that way. The damage is done now, but how about you go next? Jump into the game that way?"

Devin James Williams/male/22 years old/Tags: Jessika and Kass/Location: Outside of house/Pansexual
Devin quietly walked over to Jessika and Kassandra, his group mates. He quietly sat down beside Kassandra and listened to the girls speak as he waited to begin the game. When Jessika talked about their two truths and a lie, Devin could hear Kassandra call hers out. He piped up afterwards and said, “I thi…”. As quickly as she had riddled off her two truths and a lie, she had already moved on. A stab of irritation pierced through his blood stream and he dipped his head down so no one could see his eyes showing his irritation. He narrowed them and felt himself fuming. Geez what was with all that. He knew he had been quiet, but to ignore a living breathing human being was rude in his eyes, but he wouldn’t hold any grudges on her. His nature just wasn’t that way. He kept his eyes showing no emotions as he turned to look at Kassandra who spoke to him directly.

Devin gave her a small smile in response saying, “It’s not your place to apologize. It was my fault anyway for being quiet.” At the mention of him going next, his mind was rattling still with frustration, but he nodded and said, “Alright I guess I’ll go next then.” Now what was he going to say. That was the tough part of the game, figuring out what you were going to say. He got it, like a lightbulb went on in his mind. He said, “Alright, here are my two truths and a lie. First, I won a state championship as an individual in robotics when I was twelve years old. Second, I was a pitcher for Canyon Crest Academy which is a high school in California. Third, I have never been to Hawaii before as a vacation. So what do you guys think my lie is?”. Devin couldn’t help but feel satisfied with his answers. All of them were really good options and any one of them could be a lie, but only he knew the secrets he was telling.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Aaron had become a pro with the air fryer over the years, so if the house had one of those, he’d have no problem making everyone an air-fried meal. If not, then he hoped everyone liked bacon because he knew how to make that in the oven. Most of the time his meals were supplied by his employer, since shoots seemed to run late into the day so food would often be delivered for the crew. Though, Aaron found himself eating out most nights, especially if he was away in another country. Morgan mentioning how she should be the last person in the kitchen made him smile, at least there was someone else in the house who wasn’t confident in their cooking. “Hopefully there’s an option to order food or else we may not be eating.” He said. He wondered how they would decide who would be cooking. If it would be on a weekly or daily basis. You didn’t see that type of stuff on TV much so he had no idea. “At least Luciano can cook, haha.”

Morgan’s sudden excited outburst caused him to raise his eyebrows in surprise, either she was super excited someone got it right or they had both gotten it wrong. If he had gone with his first guess then he would have been correct but as per usual he had gotten into his head and ultimately chose the wrong answer. Oh well. Better luck next time. He nodded his head at Morgan’s words when she mentioned how terrifying the ocean could be, he would have to agree with her, he had some irrational fears whenever he was on a boat. Oftentimes it was him worrying about if he got pushed overboard and what would happen. He could swim but if it were in the middle of nowhere, he didn’t know how long he would be able to survive. “I’m glad you were able to survive the boat.” He replied with a little bit of a chuckle. He hummed for a minute when he realized it was his time to give out his truths and a lie.

“I guess I can start off with the fact that I have taken various photos for popular magazine covers… Vogue, Time and even National Geographic if you can count that…” He paused to think about more things to share about his life, “I have been to Greece five times and I was invited to take photos for fashion week in Paris.” He said. Aaron couldn’t help but blush a bit as his truths and a lie seemed to display him as if he was lucky enough to live a lavish lifestyle and while he had certainly had the opportunity to experience such a way of life, he never had the time to do so. The man was always on the move.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀
─────────────────────────── . 22 . she/her . loc; backyard tags; luciano, aaron───────────────────────────

Morgan couldn't help but crinkle her nose yet again, turning her head to the side. "That doesn't make any sense," she mumbled, mostly under her breath so it wouldn't be easy to pick up on cameras. "They're killing us off one-by-one." That wasn't overly fair, if looking at it from a broader perspective. Their days would be packed with events, and they were responsible for making their own food for the mere sake of showing off skills, if someone had them? What if they didn't? Morgan got nervous working in a kitchen. On top of that all, they'd have to make a schedule in terms of what time certain people could be in there; the kitchen was large, but there was no way everyone would be able to fit in there at once. Morgan managed to seriously burn a grilled cheese... She needed to befriend a cook, and fast. Or, her many foodservice apps would have to do her justice; she was pretty sure UberEats had just recently sent her a code for 25% off.

She shifted her position on the prickly grass, then glanced up at Luciano as he continued off of what she had mentioned a few seconds ago. "No, you goose," she returned lightly, gently swatting his knee with her board. "On the tour. There're plenty of sea animals that you can see close by, but I don't think whales are one of them. Dolphins, though. And manatees. I love manatees; they're literal sea cows and I just wanna..." Her fingers tensed and curled inward, as if she was squeezing a ball. "They're so cute. Anyway." She turned back towards Aaron, tilting her head and placing a hand on her heart. "That's really considerate of you, Aaron. It felt like it was going to turn into a less drastic version of Titanic or something, and I would've been splitting the door with my dad. And it wouldn't have ended well. Although I was small enough that we probably could've shared. Rose," she added accusingly, as if the character was right there with them. She took a deep breath in, as if she had just gone through some seriously traumatic experience, then raised her brows and shot Aaron a smile to show that she was back on track. "Sorry, love! The floor is yours."

An intensely concentrated look fell upon for features as Aaron listed off three facts, but it didn't take more than a couple of seconds for Morgan to fixate on something in particular that he said. "You're a photographer?" she practically squealed, wanting ever so badly to squeeze his cheeks or knock him over in a hug. It was oddly relieving, to hear this. What were the odds that not one but two people here had a job in photography? Her eyes grew large and her lips parted slightly, fixating her gaze on Aaron as if he had completely shapeshifted and she was seeing him for the first time. "No. Way. You've gone to a fashion show? Wait, no, that could be a lie. But if it's not. Ohmigod." Morgan's line of work was different from Aaron's, but that almost made it even better; she was hooked. As if forgetting that Luciano was with them and that they were indeed playing a game assigned to them by the host of a very popular television show, Morgan continued to gaze at Aaron with practical stars in the depts of her eyes. Consider her a complete geek when it came to photography, but she couldn't help it. That was a big portion of her job, after all. Her job consisted of the following: travelling, modelling and photography (often at the same time), editing, and blogging. Photography molded it together, though, and to have met someone who she'd be seeing a lot who also shared a love for it was heart-bursting. She surprised herself by keeping herself calm, for the most part.

"Okay, I'm going to say..." She hesitated, then slowly wrote down the number 3. "Because don't you have to be, like..." Her voice trailed off and a very noticeably sheepish look cast a shadow across her face. Her cheeks were as red as the vest the ginger-haired girl's service dog was wearing. "...From a big company or something? Or maybe you are. I don't know! It's fine." She waved the marker in his direction, then paused and put the cap on, before resuming the waving. "If you've gone to Greece, I want to know Greek. And if you've been to Paris, you're in luck, because I speak French." She shot him a big smile, then directed her attention towards Luciano. "Same goes to you, I want to know whatever Italian you know. Languages are so cool! Anyway." She shook her head to herself, then brought her attention back to Aaron. "I'm so sorry. It's your turn." And yet again, she could feel a flush settling on her face for letting her excitement get to the better of her.

Nova's eyes flitted around the room, taking note of the occasional camera as though she had almost forgotten that they were one of the most important parts of this whole... thing. She quickly turned her face away in case one of them caught her staring. Just as her attention returned to her current group, she heard Kaz talking about their years of knowing each other and something inside her shifted. 'He likes me? How long have I not noticed?' she asked herself silently, her face remaining neutral.

"Ok I'll be honest, I was not expecting to be right so that makes me feel relieved that I'm not such a terrible friend" Nova admitted honestly, the corners of her mouth turning up nervously. "Well, alright, let me think" Nova had to think over her answers in her mind very carefully. "Ok so I have three brothers, I am very good at boxing and this is the first time I have ever dyed my hair" she finally replied after a few minutes of thinking, referring to the vibrant red that lay beneath.
